Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 149 Homework Check

Chapter 149 Homework Check

"I believe she has the right to appear anywhere in the castle without being questioned."

Just as Rice was about to press for further questions, a voice interrupted his inquiry.

Rice looked up and saw a tall, thin young man with fiery red hair and freckles striding toward him, the badge of a prefect shining brightly on his chest.

The young man's hair and freckles practically spelled out his identity: Percy of the Weasleys.

"You're right." Rice was too lazy to argue with him, so she simply stood aside and watched Percy walk quickly to his sister's side, looking at him with a wary expression.

Rice couldn't reveal Ginny's secret, but it wasn't a big problem, because he believed she would continue to try to contact the Basilisk, and he would find out when the time came.

Percy put his hand on his sister's shoulder, pulled her behind him, and escorted her upstairs to the Gryffindor common room.

"You should care more about your sister, really care," Rice suddenly said to Percy, causing Percy and Ginny to turn around and stare at him.

After giving Percy a warning, Rice turned her gaze to Ginny.

"If you ever have any troubles in the future, you can come to me for help—I'm always very tight-lipped."

Percy and Ginny were both stunned for a moment, but in that short time, Rice had already gone down the stairs.

Percy frowned: What does true concern mean? Is there anyone who cares more about his sister than he does? What on earth is that Slytherin boy Lint up to?!

After mentally criticizing Rice a couple of times, he patted Ginny on the shoulder.

"If anyone dares to bully you at school, just tell me, your older brother is the class monitor!"

Ginny didn't reply, but simply nodded silently.

Percy noticed that his sister looked a little listless. Looking closer, he saw dark circles under her eyes and that she didn't seem very energetic. Percy raised an eyebrow: "Didn't you sleep well last night? You look terrible."

"N-nothing," Ginny replied softly, her head bowed.

"You can ask Mrs. Pomfrey for some energy drinks, they're free. I drank three cups of energy drinks every day when I was studying for finals, and they worked incredibly well," Percy offered Ginny his advice, which he considered extremely useful.

Ginny simply nodded silently, while recalling what Rice had said to her.

Can I ask him for help if I have any problems? Can he really help me?

"So what kind of person is Rice?" She couldn't help but ask her brother about Rice.

"Rice?" Percy looked at her curiously. "Why are you suddenly asking that?"

"That guy is... well, not so annoying Slytherin." After some thought, Percy concluded his opinion of Rice.

Rice was clearly an anomaly in Slytherin, as was his friend Daphne. They lacked the arrogance common among pure-blood wizards, possessing only a perfectly balanced ease born of strong self-confidence.

Furthermore, they did not show any discrimination against Muggles or wizards of Muggle origin, and their grades were quite good, which made Percy quite fond of them.

"Daphne, who's always by his side, is a legendary figure. Compared to Daphne, Rais is much more ordinary, just an unremarkable Slytherin junior wizard." Percy recalled carefully and realized that in the past year, it was Daphne Greengrass who shone brightly in Slytherin House, while Rais Lint had almost no presence outside the house.

His most "out-of-the-box" act was drinking a magic potion during finals and ending up in the hospital...

"So that's the kind of person he is..." Ginny blinked, having formed a preliminary impression of Rice, a low-key Slytherin.

"Honestly, if you have the chance, you should try to get to know Daphne better..." Percy earnestly offered his sister advice. In his opinion, Rice could offer his sister far less than Daphne, and being friends with Daphne would be extremely self-serving.

Ginny lowered her eyes, offering no response to her brother's words, and the two walked towards the Gryffindor common room. Unbeknownst to them, beneath their feet, a gigantic serpent was slithering rapidly, spreading death, slaughter, and fear to every corner of the castle.

After learning a little about the "Slytherin Heirs" incident, Rice found Daphne and her sister Astoria in the library.

"I've made the lunchboxes!"

Upon seeing Rice, Daphne presented him with a delicate little box, no bigger than the palm of her hand, as if it were a treasure.

The box is made of pine wood and decorated with silver wire carvings. At the very top is a coiled silver snake, giving it a weight that seems disproportionate to its size.

Click, click.

Rice unfastened the clasp of the box, opening it to reveal its internal structure: the already miniature box was divided into five sections, with a small circular compartment in the center and the remaining space divided into four smaller compartments by four partitions. Each compartment contained food items, including desserts, fruits, and even salads, meats, and main dishes.

A set of cutlery was also embedded in the lid of the box.

Rice glanced around, and after confirming that Mrs. Pince was not there, he used a fork to spear a meatball from the box.

The size of a single meatball was about the same as the size of that small compartment, but when Rice forked it out, the meatballs at the bottom just looked a little "loose" and didn't seem to decrease in size.

Rice put the meatball in her mouth and chewed it slowly. Although it was cold, it still had a unique flavor.

"Well done." Rice looked at Daphne's work and nodded with satisfaction. Although there were still many shortcomings and the functions were very limited, it was more than enough to fulfill the assignments in the booklet.

Hehe ~

Daphne smiled, looking very pleased to receive Rice's praise.

Astoria, standing to the side, looked at the lunchbox her sister had prepared, her eyes sparkling: I want to learn how to make this too!

"But there's still room for improvement. Want to learn?" Rice felt that since Ravenclaw had shared some knowledge with Daphne, he should also share some practical tips.

"Okay!" Daphne couldn't refuse; she had the same thirst for knowledge as a Ravenclaw student.

"These are spells invented by the founders of Hogwarts after they established the school..." Rice held the lunchbox in his hand and slowly recounted the story that had happened during his journey.

Here's the second update. I'm going to continue writing the next one.

(The update is a little late today because I opened my eyes at noon, and after eating, I closed my eyes again at 12 pm. I slept like I was hibernating.)

(。-ω-)zzz

Here are two photos of the original Pansy~

I discovered an incredibly funny little-known fact: the actress who played Pansy Parkinson (in the original version) was named Ginavie Gaunt.
