Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 218 Helena: Your student doesn't seem very bright.

But if I rashly send Barrow in, will it annoy the Ravenclaws? I don't want to make things worse...

Strange thoughts kept churning in Rice's mind, making him shake his head in frustration, trying to banish these chaotic thoughts from his head.

That's outrageous! What kind of wizard would try to matchmake a ghost?!

Noticing the change in her uncle Salazar's expression, Helena took the initiative to probe into Rice's thoughts.

Rice: "Ah, well... um, it's like this, I—"

His tongue seemed to be tied in knots; this was a completely new territory for him, and he felt that nothing he said sounded quite right.

Helena immediately understood what Rice meant, and she couldn't help but laugh: Indeed, from Uncle Salazar's perspective, this was a very difficult thing to talk about.

"If Barrow keeps pestering you about my whereabouts, just tell him the truth." Helena's lips curled up slightly. "I feel he doesn't have the guts to come in here. If he did, then I think he could stay here."

Rice nodded; he also felt that Barrow lacked the courage to confront Ravenclaw and Helena. Although Helena's death wasn't directly related to him, the deep-seated resentment in his heart wasn't so easily resolved.

The two stood at the entrance to the seal, chatting idly before parting. Meanwhile, Rowena played with her new toy a short distance away, showing no intention of saying goodbye to her old friend.

"Is that girl you locked outside the secret door, who doesn't seem very bright, your newly chosen student?"

Rice raised an eyebrow: Why would Daphne leave you with this impression?

"Daphne is still very talented." Regardless, Rice would still protect the child's dignity in public, so he also spoke up for Daphne: "She is a descendant of Adrian."

"I see, I should have realized that sooner." Helena exclaimed in realization, "That silver hair is indeed a very noticeable feature, so it's not surprising."

She glanced at Rice, her eyes full of smiles.

Helena's gaze almost broke Rice's defenses: Helena, you might as well make your point clearer!

"A thousand years have passed, yet your taste in selecting students remains unchanged."

Rice: !

"You can't just say things like that. Daphne has a younger sister named Astoria, who is also a child with exceptional talent."

Helene maintained that faint smile, and in appearance, she did resemble the Ravenclaw stone sculpture in the Ravenclaw common room.

"Stop talking about me. Your mother also took on a disciple, a very talented little witch named Hermione Granger." Rice, who had been hurt by Helena's words several times, decided to retaliate.

These words dealt a heavy blow to Helena, who immediately pressed Hermione for details about her school life. She recognized the name but hadn't paid much attention to it.

For Helena, the young wizards were like mushrooms sprouting from a tree stump, one after another. If she paid attention to each one and remembered their names, her brain would eventually burst. Being able to vaguely remember their names and have some impression of them was already quite good.

However, after being mentioned by Rice, Helena immediately added Hermione to her "special attention" list.

These are the students chosen by their mothers!

Subconsciously, Helena directly linked Hermione to herself and couldn't help but compare the two.

Seeing Helena's anxiety, Rice became less anxious.

He called out to Rowena in the distance, "Hey, is there anything I can take up with Granger?"

Ravenclaw actually responded. She stopped what she was doing, ceasing her fiddling with the lump of mud, and instead took out a leather bundle.

"I do have something I need you to take up with me. I was planning to teach her potion-making in a while, but it's not impossible to start a little earlier... The package contains some potion ingredients and a few not-too-difficult potion recipes. Salazar, please pass them on to Granger—and if possible, provide her with some guidance. You're a master in potions." After briefly explaining the contents of the package and her request, Rowena drifted away again to study the soil.

Rice examined the contents of the package and found that they were dungeon specialties that could be used to complete some ancient potion recipes.

After her mother took action, Helena's eyes never left the potion ingredients.

"Uncle Salazar," Helena's eyes darted around, a new idea forming in her mind, "I feel that Daphne is quite different. You mentioned that she once stood up for you and taught a lesson to an arrogant little wizard?"

Rice nodded; he had mentioned Daphne's prank on Malfoy.

"This is so different. I still remember when Adrian..." Helena stopped mid-sentence and instead said that she also had a little gift to give to this cute junior.

The address she provided was a secret room where, according to her, she had left some valuables that were inconvenient to carry with her before leaving school.

Listening to the location of the room, Rice narrowed his eyes: This place seems a little familiar!

If he remembered correctly, Godric's private classroom should be in that area.

The four founders all knew the approximate location of each other's private classrooms, but out of tacit understanding, they would not actively seek out or enter other people's classrooms.

Some people might even leave spells for old friends inside. For example, Rice left a spell in his secret room that would be triggered if another founder tried to enter.

However, his spells are more of a prank and have little to no lethality—but they are extremely insulting, enough to make any intruder unable to lift their head in front of him.

Rice made his decision by forwarding the address to Daphne and asking her to scout it out.

Seeing Helena's sincerity, Rice also told Helena all the information he knew about Hermione.

This information wasn't actually hard to find; Helena could have gathered it herself by asking around among the students after leaving the seal. But she was in a hurry to get it right now.

"He's an excellent child." Helena carefully compared herself to Hermione, and then was surprised to find that what Granger had done, she seemed to have done as well.

I was also number one in my class when I was in school.

While the library hours were somewhat limited, that was due to the limitations of the era. Hogwarts' collection wasn't as extensive back then, and students had other work to do. However, Helena felt her passion for reading was no less than Miss Granger's.

Her expression became quite complicated.
