Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 318 Earthquake and Sky Collapse

Chapter 318 Earthquake and Sky Collapse

Unprecedented! Unprecedented!!!

Since the day it was built, Hogwarts has never been invaded by such a large number of dark creatures. Today is unprecedented!

What's even more infuriating is that these dark creatures were actually deployed around the school by the current Ministry of Magic itself.

Rice gripped the armrest of the grandstand seat, the wooden armrest letting out a mournful cry as he squeezed it until it cracked, splinters piercing his palm and staining it red with blood, but Rice was completely unaware.

Rice felt that his reason had been completely devoured by anger. His pupils gradually widened and narrowed, and a dangerous aura was uncontrollably revealed from them.

The students sitting around Rice couldn't help but shiver. Most of them thought it was the weather, but Daphne and Astoria noticed something was wrong. They turned their heads to look at Rice sitting next to them and immediately realized that something was amiss.

Astoria, with her sharp eyes, spotted Rice's hand gripping the armrest of the seat, and her pupils constricted sharply: What on earth happened?

Due to the angle, Daphne didn't see the scene; she only noticed that Rice's expression was very unpleasant.

"Rice, you—"

"Watch your game," Rice commanded in an almost emotionless voice—Daphne's voice pulled him back to his senses slightly, reminding him that he was still in the stands. If he wanted to continue attending Hogwarts, he'd better suppress his anger.

He tried to calm himself down and then told Daphne and Astoria to continue watching the game obediently.

Rice's voice startled Daphne and Astoria, who immediately turned their heads away, burying their confusion and bewilderment deep inside.

They had never seen Rice so angry, and thought something terrible must have happened. At this moment, the greatest help they could give him was to not cause him any more trouble.

After settling the Greengrass sisters in, Rice looked up at the sky, where the rain showed no signs of letting up, and then he laughed: How many years has it been... Who was the last guy who dared to fight him in the rain? Was it Jormungandr?

He flipped his palm over, facing the sky, and began to unleash his magic without reservation.

Ordinary young wizards were unaware of the anomaly, but Daphne and Astoria, who had systematically studied the science of magic flow, noticed it immediately.

Daphne: ?!

Astoria: !!

The magic emanating from Rice was truly astonishing. Sitting beside him, the two of them felt as if they were drifting on a raft on a vast ocean, with a dark and deep abyss beneath the surface. It was as if they would be swallowed by the abyss at any moment.

A cold sweat broke out on both of them, and they quickly withdrew from the magical field of vision, ceasing to observe Rice's magic.

After turning off their magical vision, the feeling of being swallowed up finally disappeared, but Rice, sitting between the two of them, still brought them a strong sense of psychological pressure, as if they were sitting next to a volcano about to erupt.

That fleeting glimpse made Daphne and Astoria acutely aware of the gap between them and Rice. They had thought the difference between them and Rice could at least be measured in numbers—he was simply ten, a hundred, or even a thousand times stronger than them. But this comparison made them realize that it was like comparing a small boat to a vast ocean.

Daphne blinked: Rice is too strong! What did he eat to grow up like that?!

Astoria lowered her head in deep thought: Rice is definitely not an ordinary student, who exactly is he?

Rice knew perfectly well that Daphne and Astoria had noticed the problem, but he didn't care. His immediate priority was to deal with the Dementors.

Soon, the clouds above the Quidditch stadium were filled with Rice's magic, which fell with the rain and quickly spread throughout the stadium, expanding outwards at an astonishing speed.

Now, Rice can simply wave his hand and instantly create an area covering half of Hogwarts.

As Rice noticed the problem and reacted, Helga, sitting in the Hufflepuff stands, also sensed the intruder's presence.

When she discovered the school had been invaded, her anger was no less than that of Rice. However, unlike the "young and impetuous" Salazar, the elderly Salazar was better at controlling her emotions, so she did not show any abnormality. She just stared intently in the direction from which the Dementors were attacking, her eyes flashing with angry fire.

The Hufflepuff House stands began to sway gently, cracks appeared in the ground near the wooden stakes supporting them, and the rhythm of the earth began to extend into the distance.

In just over ten seconds, Rice's magic filled the sky, and Helga's magic dominated the earth, their magic surging at an astonishing speed toward the direction the Dementors had charged in.

The entire school was completely unaware of this, their minds still focused on the game in front of them. They only noticed that the weather had gotten a little colder and the stands were swaying a little more.

There was only one exception.

Albus Dumbledore looked up, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes behind his half-moon spectacles: he had a vague feeling that something was amiss. The surrounding environment seemed to have suddenly become... a little restless?

Dumbledore's disadvantage lay in not having studied the lost art of magical flow. However, after observing the remains of the gods and comprehending the domain, he could instinctively sense changes in the magical energy in his surroundings.

He closed his eyes and began to seriously perceive the changes around him. Then he suddenly opened his eyes: he sensed an evil aura—it was Dementors, and a group of Dementors were approaching the stadium!

Dumbledore stood up abruptly, looked in the direction the Dementors had come from, and gripped the handle of his wand, which was hidden beneath his robes, with his right hand.

At this moment, his face was terribly gloomy.

The Dementors were unaware that they had been spotted beyond their line of sight and were heading towards the source of the alluring aroma.

Suddenly, the raindrops in the sky turned into round hailstones, and from the depths of the earth beneath them came a strange, long sound, as if it came from ancient times.

Although the Dementors didn't know what was happening, their survival instincts made them want to get away from the place, but it was too late. The hail turned into sharp icicles the moment it touched their bodies, pinning them to the spot. The next second, the ground within a radius of hundreds of meters all rose up, as if someone had used a spoon to scoop out a piece of flesh from a cut watermelon!

The next moment, the ground surged up like ocean waves, swallowing hundreds of Dementors whole.
