Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 320 Rice: How about we teach her all of Godric's stuff?

Chapter 320 Rice: How about we teach her all of Godric's stuff?

"Sister, do you have any more white cinnabar?" In the common room, Astoria had already treated Rice's hand wound, and now she needed some white cinnabar to speed up the healing process.

Rice could heal such a minor injury with just a flick of his wand, but considering the conversation that had just taken place on the court, he thought it would be better to let Astoria and the others find something to do.

Daphne frantically pulled out a small bottle of white chlorpheniramine and poured two drops into Rice's hand.

As soon as the white safflower came into contact with the wound, wisps of green smoke immediately appeared. After the green smoke dissipated, the wound was covered with a layer of tender white new skin, as if it had been healing for several days.

While the two were tending to their wounds, Rice was also thinking about what she should say next.

Revealing their identities directly was out of the question, so Rice made her decision: "Let's tell them the truth!"

"Did I scare you guys just now?" Rice glanced at the noisy common room and, seeing that everyone was discussing the game and no one was paying attention to them sitting in the corner, started the conversation.

"Actually, it's alright. Something terrible must have happened, right?" Daphne placed Bai Xian on the table and replied softly, "I'm not too scared. I'm just disappointed that I couldn't help you."

Astoria glanced at her sister: "Aren't you scared at all? Sister, you must have seen how Rice was casting magic, right?"

However, since her sister hadn't brought it up, Astoria wasn't foolish enough to point it out. From her perspective, Rice was definitely not an ordinary student; he must have ulterior motives for attending Hogwarts, but exposing him would do her no good.

She knew Rice definitely wanted them not to reveal his unusual behavior, so they should just go along with it. After all, whatever his true identity was, he was still imparting extremely valuable knowledge to her and her sister.

If they choose to play dumb now, they can both gain invaluable knowledge until the day he decides to confront them. Astoria feels that revealing their unspoken understanding would be detrimental to her in every way—would she really want Professor Dumbledore to arrest Rice?

After he was arrested, who will teach him a lesson?

Astoria always thought that the children in fairy tales who exposed the true nature of monsters were particularly foolish, and she would never do such a thing.

Rice glanced at Daphne and Astoria, who remained obedient, and sighed inwardly.

"Don't worry, I won't harm you."

Who told you to be descendants of the Greengrass family? These two white-haired girls really do evoke memories of myself and that silly guy, and I did indeed treat them as students.

Daphne and Astoria should thank the other Slytherin students, such as Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, and Marcus, for the stark contrast they created, which kept the sisters in Rice's eyes very positive.

Upon hearing Rice's words, Daphne stared wide-eyed, utterly bewildered: Why would Rice spout nonsense? He's always been so kind to me and my sister!

Astoria, however, understood perfectly: Rice was sending them a signal, telling them and her sister that there was no need to worry too much. At least for the time being, he meant no harm.

She couldn't help but sigh inwardly: what exactly was the relationship between herself, her sister, and Rice? Why was he being so kind to them? She couldn't help but feel a sense of treacherousness.

Astoria knew that every gift from fate came with a price tag, so what were the costs for herself and her sister?

What the girl didn't know was that some of the gifts of fate had already been paid for by her elders...

After reassuring the two little girls, Rice began to tell them about the little-known events that had happened outside the stadium during the game.

"Dementors?!" Daphne couldn't help but exclaim after Rice finished speaking, then immediately lowered her voice, afraid of disturbing the other students in the lounge. Fortunately, the lounge was noisy enough that no one heard her.

"That makes perfect sense. So where are these Dementors now?" Astoria thought it wasn't surprising that Dementors would do such a thing, given their habits, but their whereabouts were a matter of great concern.

"It was buried in the ground, and then the ground subsided, becoming part of the Black Lake." Rice omitted the small role he played in it.

Astoria nodded. She wasn't foolish enough to ask how the Dementors were buried, as that would be a complete waste of time.

"Huh? How were those hundred-plus Dementors buried in the ground?" Daphne listened attentively to Rice's story and immediately noticed the incomplete "flaw" in it.

Rice: ...

Astoria: ...

"Just assume the school's defense mechanism was triggered," Rice said in a slightly tired tone, while already considering whether to teach the girl the combat techniques that Godric had researched.

Having said that, Rice felt she had cleared things up with the two little ones, so she got up and went to the bathroom to wash up and prepare for bed.

After Rice left, Daphne and Astoria had no desire to linger in the common room any longer. They had no interest in discussing Quidditch with their classmates; they just wanted to take a hot shower as soon as possible.

The two walked quickly to the girls' restroom, and as soon as they opened the door, a wave of fragrant steam rushed out.

Each house's common room reflects the personal style of its founder. For example, Gryffindor's common room emphasizes "good enough," Hufflepuff's theme is "cozy," Ravenclaw focuses on ease of learning, and Slytherin emphasizes "comfort" and "enjoyment."

While both are shared dormitories, Slytherin has the largest per-person living space among the four houses, with each bed spaced far enough apart from the others to ensure privacy—of course, roommates can still hear students talking in their sleep at night.

Rice had initially considered having single rooms, but his other friends felt it wouldn't be good for the children's development; they believed kids should share rooms with classmates. Rice then abandoned the idea, simply increasing the size of the dormitory room instead.

The accommodations were good, and the shower facilities were excellent—Rice himself thought the Slytherin student bathrooms were definitely the best in the entire school. He could guarantee that every student would have access to a bathtub, although it was a bit small, only a few square meters, but it was still a bathtub! In other houses, this was a privilege reserved for prefects!

Of course, Daphne and Astoria were unaware of this little-known fact. At that moment, the two were standing on the edge of two adjacent bathtubs, discussing something.
