Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 416 This guy is even more sinister than Voldemort; he's the new Dark Lord!

"You mean..." Lucius was a little unsure of what he had heard.

"Yes, that person had an overwhelming advantage in the fight against the Dark Lord. Before I set off, I personally witnessed the Dark Lord being pierced through the chest by the blood spear he conjured."

Lucius nearly lost his composure. Suppressing a smile with all his might, Lucius asked in a strange tone, "So... that person is dead?"

Yaxley sighed. "They escaped. They escaped using Apparition."

Lucius felt a pang of regret. He should have urged Minister Burns to install anti-Apparition charms on the field. At that moment, Lucius had no idea that he himself had used Apparition to escape with his family.

Yaxley clearly hadn't thought that far ahead. After delivering the message, he prepared to return to the stadium to continue his work.

However, before he left, Lucius called him back, because old Malfoy suddenly remembered a detail that Yaxley had mentioned.

"You said that mysterious powerful figure killed more than a dozen people as soon as he appeared? How did he do that? Did he cause a huge explosion?" Lucius asked, frowning.

"Oh! Is that so—" Yaxley perked up immediately. He told Lucius that he hadn't seen what the man did either, but those Death Eaters were killed in an instant, their blood drained to be used as weapons against the Dark Lord.

"Tell me, where did those Death Eaters come from?"

Lucius: ...

"Those people are definitely not Death Eaters. I wonder where the Dark Lord got his reinforcements from," Lucius said helplessly.

How could Lucius Malfoy not know the state of the Death Eaters? Not to mention where to find a dozen Death Eaters loyal to Voldemort, how could he not hear a word that a dozen people had banded together to join Voldemort?

According to Ilucius, those dozen or so people were not Death Eaters at all, but most likely dark wizards recruited from other places after the Dark Lord was resurrected.

After explaining something to Yaxley, Lucius fell silent and fell into deep thought.

At first, Lucius was quite happy to hear that someone had brought Voldemort to the brink of death and forced him to escape. But after hearing the details of the battle, Lucius's happiness suddenly vanished: How could this person who suddenly appeared be even more sinister than Voldemort?!

A single spell draws all the blood from a dozen people and then uses that blood as a weapon—is this something a proper wizard would do?!

This guy seems even more dangerous than the Dark Lord!

Seeing that Lucius was no longer speaking, Yaxley Apparated away from the woods. He still had work to do and couldn't disappear for too long.

"Dad?" Draco Malfoy asked tentatively, bringing Lucius back to reality.

"Let's go back to camp first." After concluding that the area was now safe, Lucius decided to stay there for the night.

It wasn't that Lucius liked camping, but rather that he wanted to meet with his cronies to discuss important matters.

Voldemort has returned, but after being brutally beaten, he fled in a sorry state. How should everyone face their former master? And what about that newly appeared powerful figure? They also need to have a good discussion about him.

The Lucius family left. Daphne and her group then revealed themselves.

"See, I told you Rice would win," Daphne said to Aries with an air of certainty.

Aries blinked, feeling a sense of awe at the incredible beauty of Rice described by Daphne, while secretly marveling at how right he had made this move.

"Let's go back to camp." After learning of Rice's great victory, everyone was in high spirits. Daphne took the lead and led the group towards the camp.

……

Rice stood on the stadium roof, quietly watching the Aurors standing in the distance.

Voldemort has already escaped, and his henchmen have all vanished. As for the Sects member with the domain, Rhys just noticed that he seems to have been captured by Daphne and the others.

Aries was really unlucky, not only being hunted down by Daphne and Astoria, but also encountering Hermione and Cedric. Aries could hold his own against Daphne, but against Hermione, defeat was inevitable.

Rice cleared his throat and used magic to make a deep and reassuring baritone voice resonate throughout the stadium.

The danger has passed, it's safe here, Voldemort will not return.

The spectators still lingering in the stadium were initially stunned. Some were startled by the name "Voldemort," but once they realized what was happening, they immediately cheered.

The Aurors looked at each other, then their gazes settled on a middle-aged man.

"That voice really sounds like Kingsley's..." the Aurors thought in unison.

Kingsley covered his forehead in exasperation: What are you looking at me for? I've been right here the whole time.

After calming the audience with his magical voice, Rice turned to the Aurors.

Although the person in front of them had driven away the mysterious man, the Aurors were still on high alert—they still vividly remembered the scene where this guy had killed more than a dozen wizards in a single encounter and used their blood as weapons.

Rice suddenly had an inspiration, thinking that this seemed like a very rare opportunity to clear Slytherin's name.

In his view, his appearance was a game-changer, like a hero in a storybook. So, wouldn't declaring at this moment that Voldemort wasn't a true Slytherin be a powerful exoneration? Perhaps Slytherin House could one day become the top choice for countless young wizards, just like Gryffindor?

"Voldemort is not the real Slytherin," Rice said in a strong voice. "He is a false, absurd, and distorted alterer of the true Slytherin. The real Slytherin are knights among wizards, noble and dignified beings."

Rice felt that chivalry was a perfect fit for Slytherin, so he didn't hesitate to borrow this Muggle concept.

The Aurors exchanged glances, their brows furrowing even more: It still sounds like they're sticking with the pure-blood theory? All that talk about nobility and knighthood...

And this guy seems to be vying with Voldemort for legitimacy? Fighting over who is the true heir to Slytherin?

Kingsley asked in a deep voice, "So, according to you, you're the real Slytherin?"

Rice was taken aback. Although the Aurors' reaction was a bit unexpected, Kingsley's question was brilliant! He was, of course, a true Slytherin, and no one knew Slytherin better than him.

Rice nodded naturally.

It's confirmed! It's confirmed! It's a case of dark wizards fighting amongst themselves for the right to inherit Slytherin's mantle!

The Aurors fell silent, standing still like the automatons on the canopy.

In theory, the Aurors should have rushed forward to capture the newly crowned Dark Lord, but his actions just now were so memorable that the Aurors unanimously chose to remain unchanged in the face of any eventuality.

No one wanted to provoke this powerful dark wizard.

Seeing that the Aurors were deep in thought, clearly reflecting on their previous prejudice against Slytherin, Rhys nodded in satisfaction and vanished from the canopy.
