Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 500: The Four Giants Gather

Chapter 500 The Four Giants Gather

About a minute later, Rice gradually recovered, and his breathing returned to normal. He ignored Helga and Rowena, who were still stunned, and stared intently at Godric's face, trying to find a flaw in his expression.

The two were so close that Rice's breath was directly on Gryffindor's face.

It has to be said that Godric truly lives up to his reputation as a dueling master; his control over his muscles is exceptional. He didn't even show any reaction to that astonishing aria.

But Rice doesn't actually need to find evidence; this isn't a Muggle detective story.

He believed that if Gryffindor had resurrected, then he must have resurrected as well. The reason he hadn't woken up yet was simply because he hadn't put enough pressure on himself.

"It seems Gryffindor's soul hasn't returned to his body yet. How about this, at the opening ceremony after summer vacation, let's have all the teachers and students of Hogwarts sing this song together." A faint smile appeared on Rice's lips. "I believe that as long as the hearts of all the teachers and students of Hogwarts are sincere enough, Godric's resurrection is only a matter of time."

Godric: !!!

Rowena and Helga's eyes darted wildly around in their sockets. Although their bodies were unable to move, their brains were working at a speed faster than a fighter jet engine.

After hearing Salazar's words, Rowena finally understood why he did what he did, and at that moment she felt nothing but admiration for Salazar.

Salazar, you're truly amazing! He risked everything to wake Godric. Honestly, even if Rowena had thought of this method beforehand, she wouldn't have had the courage to use it; it's not something just anyone can pull off.

Godric, you can continue to play dead. The price of playing dead is that everyone will sing "Godric, the Man of Men" in unison at the opening ceremony, right in front of you!

Rowena got goosebumps just from imagining himself as a Gryffindor.

Wait a minute, Rowena suddenly realized a very important question: Would Salazar really allow her and Helga to keep this memory?

She considered it from her own perspective and realized that was impossible!

Rowena immediately became anxious: she was determined to preserve this precious memory at all costs!

The wisest witches at Hogwarts began to frantically think of a solution.

Helga, on the other hand, was much more laid-back. She hadn't thought of this aspect at all, so she was now completely immersed in the good show in front of her, watching with great interest and concentration.

"By the way, Hogwarts doesn't seem to have a specific school song? I think this song could actually be the Hogwarts school song—" Rice's voice echoed in the small room, like the whisper of a devil.

Upon hearing this, Gryffindor, who had been feigning death, finally couldn't hold back any longer.

Rowena's judgment was correct. After expelling Loki's soul, Gryffindor's body was automatically absorbed into Godric's soul, which was summoned by the Resurrection Stone, thus merging the soul and body into one.

At this point, Godric has essentially been resurrected.

But he had been repeatedly summoned by several old friends over the past year, so he wasn't entirely ignorant of the outside world. In the instant after his resurrection, he understood his situation: he couldn't use a name like his old friends; he had to live by his own name.

After figuring this out, Godric decisively chose to play dead.

If his three old friends weren't at Hogwarts, he might have reluctantly accepted it. But now that they were all alive and kicking, wouldn't acting like this be tantamount to public execution?

Although Godric was previously known for his strength, that didn't mean he was stupid. He was just too lazy to think things through; when it came to his own interests, he was extremely astute.

So he made the choice that best served his own interests.

As a powerful wizard who possesses a domain, killing him is quite difficult. Conventional methods like beheading or burying him alive have no effect on him, and his old friends are unlikely to grind his body to dust. So, as long as he pretends to be dead, his friends can't do anything to him.

After his friends, having exhausted all other options, bury his body, he can rise from the coffin. At that time, he will be free to roam the world, like a fish leaping in the vast sea or a bird soaring in the boundless sky.

He could easily find himself a new identity like Helga or Rowena and return to Hogwarts as a teacher, or become a student like Salazar—this path is a bit difficult, but it's achievable if he can find a way.

Godric's plans have now been completely thwarted by Salazar.

If he doesn't wake up, Salazar will take him to the Great Hall and make the entire Hogwarts community sing that song in front of him! He might even make it the school song!!!

The impact of this was absolutely catastrophic.

After waking up, the worst that could happen is death, and Godric isn't really afraid of that. But this song will be passed down from generation to generation!

It's terrifying that this song will never disappear as long as Hogwarts exists in this world.

So when Salazar proposed making "The Godric Song" the school song, Gryffindor promptly backed down.

His eyelids twitched, and then his eyes slowly opened.

The moment Godric opened his eyes was like a bolt of lightning streaking across the night sky.

The sleeping lion has now awakened.

Upon opening his eyes, Godric looked at Salazar Slytherin standing in front of him with an extremely complex expression—the face was incredibly young, exactly the same as when they first met in his memory.

At that moment, Gryffindor had no other thoughts but to punch that hateful face.

"Godric, you're finally awake! That's wonderful! Hogwarts can't do without you!" Rice exclaimed with extraordinary joy, as if the fact that Gryffindor had woken up was a complete surprise to him.

Hearing Salazar's voice, Godric felt his anger rising. Thinking about what he would have to face, he could no longer suppress his excitement. He rolled over and pounced on Rice.

If I could beat that viper Salazar up today, I wouldn't have lost out so much.

Rice had been prepared since he started teasing Godric, and with Godric's body covered in wounds, he easily dodged Godric's attack and created some distance between them.

Gryffindor missed his target, but he didn't give up. Instead, he continued forward, determined to catch Salazar.

At the same time, a ball of flame erupted around him, enveloping him and making him look like a giant fireball.

Rice raised his eyebrows: Why are you getting serious?

He recalled the scenes when Rowena and Helga were resurrected; they seemed to have done the same, both using their domains. Why did everyone have to torment themselves after regaining their senses?

Rice hurriedly ran deeper into the dungeon.

He had no desire to fight a Gryffindor who was in a fit of rage.

If you're going to fight, you need to find a more open space. Don't fight in that little hut; it really could cause a collapse.

Seeing Godric and Salazar run out of the room one after the other, Rowena's eyes lit up, and she began to channel her magic at full power, trying to break the petrification spell that Salazar had cast on her.

A few minutes later, Rowena successfully broke the petrification curse and regained her freedom.

Helga, who was standing nearby, was overjoyed to see her friend break free of his restraints.

She assumed that since Rowena had escaped, she would surely help her break the spell. However, to her surprise, the moment Rowena regained her freedom, she dashed out of the dungeon like a gust of wind and ran towards the outside.

Helga: ?

She felt that her friendship with Rowena had come to an end.

Shortly after Rowena ran away, Helga suddenly realized something. She finally understood why Salazar had used the petrification spell on them: he didn't want them to have the opportunity to record what had just happened using magical artifacts.

Then it became clear to her that Salazar would erase their memories of the song.

How could this be?! Helga felt that the laughter of the rest of her life depended on that song, and there was absolutely no way Salazar could erase it.

Thinking of this, she quickly began to dispel the petrification curse on her body.

Soon, she regained her freedom, just like Rowena.

The first thing Helga did after regaining her freedom was to extract the memories from her mind and put them into a small crystal bottle.

She threw the crystal bottle to the ground, and it disappeared into the earth.

Helga, skilled at manipulating soil, used it to transport the crystal bottle all the way to her private classroom, ensuring its safe passage.

Shortly after she backed up her memories, Rowena returned.

Their eyes met, and they exchanged a knowing glance.

It's as if one is saying, "I've taken care of my business. Have you taken care of yours yet?"

One of them seemed to be answering, "Of course it's done, no problem at all."

Having taken care of the most important matter, the two waited quietly in the small room for Salazar and Godric to return.

A few minutes later, Rice and Godric returned to the small room one after the other, their expressions calm and peaceful, as if nothing had just happened.

After the two entered the house, the atmosphere in the cabin became subtle.

Salazar, Helga, and Reina only then realized that this was the first time in a thousand years that the four of them had reunited.

It had been nearly ten centuries since Salazar Slytherin had left in a huff a thousand years ago. Now, upon their reunion, only Helga and Godric remained largely unchanged, while Rowena and Salazar seemed almost reborn.

In an instant, the hut seemed to become extraordinary, as if it had acquired a historical significance, much like the stable in Bethlehem.

The four of them fell silent, unsure of what to say.

After what seemed like an eternity, Rice finally broke the silence.

"Welcome back, Godric."

Gryffindor raised an eyebrow.

"I should be saying that to you, Salazar. I remember someone saying something like that back then—"

"Please call me Rais," Rais said expressionlessly. "Rais Lint. Salazar is dead. I am a new person now, so it is Rais Lint who has returned to Hogwarts, not Salazar Slytherin."

Gryffindor responded with a loud sniff.

This guy is still as good at making trouble as ever.

However, Godric didn't dwell on the issue for long. He looked down at his tattered body and couldn't help but complain.

"What exactly did you do to my body? This was obviously Rowena's doing, Salazar, you're behind this, and Helga, look—there's still a pebble stuck in the wound."

He ran his hands over his body, trying to determine the source of each wound.

Rice, Helga, and Rowena stood in the corner of the room, as if they had suddenly become mute.

Although the purpose was to capture Loki, it is also true that Godric's body was badly damaged.

After a while, Godric finally finished taking stock of the wounds on his upper body, and then he noticed the problem with his arm.

"Royna, did you do this?!"

"I can explain."

"Loki has taken over your body—"

Gryffindor: ...

He tried to convince himself, and then he quickly felt relieved.

The old friends did nothing wrong; he would have done the same thing in their place. The only thing to blame is my own carelessness back then, which allowed Loki to exploit the situation.

"Do you have any special medicine or anything? To be honest, it really hurts." Godric extended his hand to his three old friends.

The three quickly dispelled the power of their own domains from him, and Rice even took out several magical potions to accelerate the healing of his wounds.

Godric took the potions and applied them to the wounds with practiced ease, and the injuries visibly improved.

After treating the ordinary wounds, Godric turned his attention to the large cut on his elbow.

"Did Loki sew this himself? His skills are really rough," Godric couldn't help but complain, stretching his arm out to Rowena.

Rowena raised her hand and kindly helped Godric cut his arm back off.

With the help of the wind, the cut was very smooth, and Rowena had also put thought into it, as she followed the original cut, so there was very little secondary damage.

"Thanks." Godric pursed his lips, then carefully reattached his arm.

This time, his work was far more refined than what Loki had done.

After his arm was reattached, Godric moved it around and found it moved quite smoothly. With that, Godric had finally recovered from all his old injuries.

Feeling completely relaxed, Godric stretched, his joints cracking and popping.

"Come on, let me see Hogwarts a thousand years from now?" Godric said to Rice and the other two after finishing his stretching exercises.

He was quite looking forward to seeing what Hogwarts would look like a thousand years from now. He had only caught a glimpse of it before and hadn't had a chance to look closely, but now he had the opportunity to explore it properly.
