Chapter 236 Demon Knight

Inside the mysterious house.

Beside the fireplace, where a blazing fire was burning.

Two handsome young men sat on two chairs.

A man with black hair and blue eyes, dressed in a sharp suit.

A blond man with blue eyes, wearing a white shirt.

They gazed at each other, their eyes meeting in the air.

"So, why won't you give me a hug?"

Lucifer still had that roguish smile.

Gino rested his hands on the edge of the chair, his hands hanging naturally at his sides, a gentle smile on his face: "Sorry, I like women."

The atmosphere seemed to freeze for a moment.

The oppressive feeling seemed to have plunged the entire room into a strange atmosphere.

Constantine and Zatanna felt a chill run through their bodies, as if they were being watched by some kind of natural enemy, unable to move an inch.

"Click~"

The house planks were broken, and dust flew everywhere.

The mere clash of their auras was enough to make this seemingly indestructible house tremble.

"What should we do?"

Zatanna trembled uncontrollably. With difficulty, she turned her head to look at Constantine and asked, "What should we do?!"

Facing a terrifying, oppressive atmosphere.

Constantine raised his hand to block the scorching heat emanating from where Gino and Lucifer's eyes met.

He turned his head in exasperation and roared, "How should I know?!"

"Click-clack!"

The floor of the house trembled more and more as the fighting continued.

Just when Constantine and Zatanna mistakenly thought the house might collapse as the two clashed, the heavy, seemingly insurmountable pressure vanished in an instant, melting away like ice and snow.

"Hahaha."

Without warning, Gino and Lucifer burst into laughter at the same time.

The two laughed so hard they were doubled over, as if they were staging a nonsensical, absurd comedy.

Okay, let's put aside the performance; it's just a helpless situation where neither of us can do anything about the other.

"We can talk."

"But before that."

Lucifer flicked his finger, and in the next instant, Constantine's handsome face swelled up as if he had been stung by a bee.

Lucifer rested his chin on his hands, smiling as he stared at Constantine and said, "If you dare to provide my sacrifices with dead rats and cockroaches again, I guarantee that next time it will be your little brother who gets swollen."

"Waaaaah."

Constantine tried to speak with his swollen lips, but the swelling prevented him from making a sound.

"Let's get back to the main topic." Gino waved his hand, looked at Lucifer, and said, "What are your thoughts on this human catastrophe?"

"Me?" Lucifer crossed his legs and tilted his head, saying, "I'll watch from here."

With a casual gesture, he shook his head and said, "I wish all of humanity would die out, so that I could win my bet with God."

"That's not how it works, Lucifer." Gino sat up slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"If all of humanity were to die out, would Lucifer and Hell still have any meaning?"

The boy's words were astonishing from the moment he opened his mouth.

Upon hearing Gino's words, Lucifer's smile froze.

I had originally intended to get off the chair, but I sat back down.

Lucifer tilted his head and stared at Gino: "You're lying to me."

"Ha." Gino chuckled and shook his head. "It's like sheep versus hungry wolves."

"When the sheep are all dead, what awaits the hungry wolf?"

Gino leaned forward, his blue eyes fixed on the other man: "Lucifer, the trouble you've caused in Heaven won't be forgotten."

Even if God were willing to forgive you, the angels would not let you off the hook.

"So," Gino sat up straight again, crossing his arms in a boss-like posture, "can we talk now?"

"All right."

Lucifer sighed: "You've convinced me."

"I know how this happened."

Lucifer leaned back in his chair and began lazily, "The story begins in the distant past, in the time of King Arthur."

"When King Arthur unified Greenland, he encountered obstacles from the magical world."

"There is a wizard who is as famous as Merlin and possesses a magical item called the Dream Stone."

"It can absorb negative human emotions to enhance the user's strength."

"The sorcerer who called himself the chosen one forged that ominous stone with blood and soul."

"Fortunately, Merlin commanded a knight who had made a pact with the demon to defeat the guy and seal him away somewhere in hell."

Lucifer shrugged: "You know, Hell is so big, it's like a garbage dump, and people will always throw some garbage in there from time to time."

"Perhaps some idiot used a sacrificial ritual and misrecited the incantation, thus releasing that wizard."

Gino frowned as he listened to Lucifer's account.

Someone who can be compared to the Archmage Merlin must have unquestionable strength and would be a formidable opponent.

"Alright, I've said everything I needed to say."

Lucifer, exuding aristocratic air, stood up, smiled, and strode out of the hall, walking into the darkness.

Those snake-like eyes stared intently at Gino, a wicked smile curling at the corner of his lips: "The rest is in the hands of our great hero, Mr. Gino."

Gino smiled at Lucifer's teasing and gave him the middle finger in response.

Only when Lucifer walked into the darkness and vanished in an instant did the oppressive atmosphere completely disappear.

"Waaaaah?"

"Stop yelling!" Disappointed by Constantine's noise, Gino gently raised his hand and used his Heavenly Magic to remove Constantine's swollen lips.

"Damn it, Gino, why won't you help me?"

Constantine was somewhat indignant, rubbing his slightly bluish lips.

"Huh?" Gino tilted his head. "You want your mouth to turn back to normal?"

Constantine made a quick decision, raising his hands: "I surrender."

"And another thing," Gino said, rubbing his chin, "do you know the knight Lucifer mentioned, Constantine?"

"I should know him," Constantine sighed. "He's lived since the time of King Arthur and made a pact with the devil."

"These two points alone can eliminate most of the candidates."

Constantine stood up and picked up a dusty book from the bookshelf.

He turned to the second page of the book and handed it to Gino.

The book was printed with a picture of a burly demon wearing armor.

"The Demon Itlion".

"To make a pact with one of King Arthur's twelve knights."

"And I've heard that Itrian and Merlin are half-brothers," Constantine said with a gossipy grin.

"This has nothing to do with us."

Gino looked at Constantine: "Now, tell me where to find that guy."

"I have no idea."

Constantine shook his head with a wry smile: "Itrian is a mad demon, but his contractor, Jason Brad, is a rigid guy."

"He adhered to the ancient code of chivalry."

"I don't smoke, I don't drink, and my only hobby is fighting for justice."

"I don't know where to find him."
