Chapter 243 Becoming a Teacher

In Flip-Down Alley.

London, known as the "Rainy City," was naturally drizzling.

"Pat-pat-pat".

Rainwater splashed into the cracks in the road surface, creating ripples.

A group of men and women dressed in black suits with millstones at their waists surrounded the alleyway.

The badges they wore on their chests identified them.

Ministry of Magic, Aurors.

"Kingsley, things are really bad."

A pale-faced Auror from the Ministry of Magic walked up to the black man with dark skin but a tall, upright figure.

Although the Aurors were used to all sorts of things, the news that an entire street of dark wizards had been slaughtered was enough to set the entire wizarding world on fire.

It's worth noting that the Ministry of Magic has considered taking strong action against Knockturn Alley on several occasions.

However, each operation only yielded small fry, while the powerful dark wizards often escaped easily.

But now everything is different; there are a whole bunch of wanted wizards who have died in Knockturn Alley.

"What exactly are these...?"

Kingsley stared at the corpses that the Aurors had brought there using the levitation spell.

Without exception, their faces were deathly pale and their pupils were dilated.

An experienced Auror could tell at a glance that these people had all died from the Awada Killing Curse.

"Have you tried extracting the spells from these people's wands?"

"We tried, but they seemed to die in an instant, without even a chance to react with magic."

Kingsley sighed deeply, tapping lightly on the seam of his trousers with both hands, his expression unreadable.

A terrifyingly powerful figure suddenly appeared in the magical world.

Perhaps Dumbledore should be informed of this.

.....

at the same time.

Gino, the culprit who had the Ministry of Magic in a flustered and anxious state, and who had brutally beaten Death, was walking in a small tavern.

The second floor was a hotel for people to stay in, and Gino quickly found one to stand in front of.

"Da da da~"

The boy gently knocked on the door.

The knocking was light and steady, sounding like the homeowner rustling as they dressed.

Who is it?

A lazy male voice came from inside the room.

As the oak door was pushed open.

A blond man with slicked-back hair rubbed his sleepy eyes.

He was draped in a magnificent silk robe, and gestured with his hand, saying, "I know, I know, you're another one of my biggest fans, aren't you?"

"Alright." The man looked helplessly at the boy who was several times more handsome than himself. "Where's the pen? Give it to me, and I'll sign it for you."

"An autograph?" Gino looked at the man who flashed a bright white smile, a hint of a grin on his face. "No, no, no, I don't need your autograph."

"I need to."

The boy snapped his fingers: "Write me a letter."

"Yes, yes, Master." The blond man turned back to the table with a blank expression, spread out the paper, and began to write a letter.

The man's handwriting was elegant and light, and he quickly wrote a long passage according to the young man's wishes.

After finishing the letter, the man rolled it up and walked toward the owl standing on the table.

"Go and mail this letter to Hogwarts Castle."

....

Hogwarts.

Founded by the four giants, it is an educational institution with a long history and far-reaching influence in the magical world, nurturing generation after generation of pillars of the magical world. It is known as the cradle of magic and is also crowned with the title of the crown of the magical world by the world.

This is the corridor inside the ancient castle.

Rows of magical images were placed all around.

In the vast corridor, a cold wind swept by, and a man dressed in a black robe with greasy black hair walked hurriedly. The young wizards he encountered all shrank their heads, afraid of being noticed by him and having several points deducted.

Walk past the tin armor, ignoring the mischievous Pikachu hiding behind the gallery.

Severus Snape, waving his black robes, moved silently like a large, agile bat, drifting into a corner of the castle.

"A pile of cockroaches."

He gave the password to the ugly stone guardian statues in front of the gate.

The loyal stone statue was quickly moved away.

A passageway was revealed.

In a brightly lit house at the other end of the passage, an obese old man with a white beard whose chin almost dragged on the ground was fast asleep with his eyes closed on a chair.

The occasional snoring at that time proved that he was sleeping very soundly.

"Don't sleep."

Snape practically burst into the bedroom, creating a whistling whirlwind, and coldly stared at Dumbledore, the greatest white wizard of his time, who was also regarded as the hope and pillar of the wizarding world, lying in a chair.

It seems that the cold wind on my body interrupted my sleep.

Dumbledore slowly opened his eyes, his deep blue eyes beneath his thick, round-bottomed spectacles gleaming with profound wisdom and erudition.

But this light is fleeting, and may even make people think they are seeing things.

"oh."

The old man wiped his glasses, looked at the mountain of documents on the table, and then shifted his gaze to Snape, whose face was ashen.

"What do you need me for, Snape?"

Seeing Dumbledore's reaction, Snape smiled dismissively.

"Don't play dumb with me, Dumbledore."

"I'm asking you."

He leaned forward, his hands pressing down on the table, staring at Dumbledore with a menacing gaze: "Why did you choose that fraud Lockhart to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?"

"You're not jealous because you don't know that guy is a complete liar, and there are many questionable parts in the legends he writes. His character seems unworthy of those legendary deeds."

Snape came to see Dumbledore for a simple reason: Dumbledore, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor for this semester, had actually brought Lockhart, that popular celebrity, along.

"Snape." Looking at the aggressive Potions Professor, the old man rubbed his forehead helplessly.

"Defense Against the Dark Arts professors are not easy to find."

"I think I have plenty of time," Snape sneered. If there was anyone at Hogwarts who most wanted to teach this course, Snape would definitely be on the list.

"us…"

Just as Fuliduo was about to say something, an owl fluttering outside the window interrupted their thoughts.

"Oh, a letter so late, who wrote it?"

Dumbledore quickly stood up and changed the subject, a cunning glint in the old man's eyes.

He opened the window, took down the owl, and retrieved the letter from the owl's leg, unfolding it.

Then, Dumbledore's expression became even stranger.

"What letter?"

Snape narrowed his eyes slightly. Although the old bat was standing there, the slight tiptoeing of his feet betrayed his gossipy nature.

"Alas, there's been some trouble with the Defense Against Magic professor." Dumbledore placed the letter on the table: "Professor Lockhart says he's not up to the task."

"Ha," Snape scoffed. "Indeed, this fool has some self-awareness."

"However, Professor Lott recommended another candidate to me."

"Who?" Snape frowned.

"Gino Luther".
