Chapter 244 Defense Department Professor?

Chapter 244 Defense Department Professor?

"Gino Luther?"

The wood in the fireplace burned brightly, dispelling the darkness and cold.

Inside the headmaster's office, Snape, his icy face furrowed, muttered the name repeatedly as if it possessed some kind of magic.

"I've never heard of this person before. Who is he?"

Snape couldn't help but be curious.

There are only so many big names in the magical world, but he had never heard of this name before.

Snape shook his head:

"To be honest, Dumbledore, the person Lockhart recommended is probably just a fame-seeker."

"I have no idea."

Dumbledore shook his head, his expression profound: "I was just thinking about another thing that's been happening in the wizarding world lately."

"You mean?" Snape narrowed his eyes slightly.

"Were all the wizards in Knockturn Alley slaughtered?"

He looked at the old headmaster: "Who do you think did it? Who has the power to kill hundreds of wizards in an instant?"

Dumbledore looked into the other man's eyes and felt the hand on his wrist, and gave a wry smile: "Well, even that person couldn't kill all the dark wizards in an instant."

Dumbledore lowered his eyes again, staring at the name on the envelope: "Gino Luthor".

"This person who suddenly appeared."

Dumbledore sighed, gazing absently at the Black Lake outside the window, lost in thought: "What secrets might he hold now?"

.....

A week passed in the blink of an eye.

"Buzz~"

A pair of crisp black leather trousers stepped onto the metal plate at the train exit, aboard the Hogwarts Express.

Wearing sunglasses, the tall boy looked up at the scene before him.

A vast castle stood silently in the deep darkness of the night.

"Hogwarts".

Feeling the night breeze blowing across Black Lake and carrying a moist air, Gino squinted slightly, marveling at the freshness of the air.

"I am coming!"

The boy smiled and walked briskly toward the castle.

.....

"Da da da~"

Inside the rusty iron gate, Snape stared expressionlessly at the boy walking towards them from a distance.

Her long golden hair fluttered in the wind, and she wore a sharp black suit.

He took off his sunglasses, revealing a pair of deep blue eyes.

"Hello there."

Gino smiled and spoke, as gentle and kind as a boy next door.

"hehe."

He merely smiled coldly at the beaming young Snape.

"Gino Luther, is that right?" Snape stared at the boy.

It was only their first meeting, but the other person gave him a sunny and cheerful feeling, which made Snape, who had lived in a dark world for many years, feel very uncomfortable.

"Come with me."

Without a word of welcome, the haughty old bat turned and left, leading Gino directly towards the castle. As he spoke, he said to Gino, "There's less than a week until the students start school. I hope you can prepare your lesson plans during this week and inform the students in advance about the books they need to bring."

"Ah, no need for that. Books are just inanimate objects. I'll make them understand the true mysteries of magic." Gino replied to Snape with a smile, but was met with a cold laugh from the old bat.

He said, "Anyone can talk big, but how many can actually make it happen?"

The two did not exchange any more words, but silently walked into the castle and arrived at the principal's office.

"Sizzle Honey Candy," Snape uttered the shameful command with a blank expression.

When the stone door opened, a kind old man sat in a chair. The moment he saw Gino, he stood up with a smile: "Welcome, welcome, Mr. Gino."

"Headmaster Dumbledore, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Gino also smiled.

The two shook hands warmly, like longtime friends, and might even have embraced if Snape hadn't been there.

They sat down with their hands apart.

Six pairs of eyes intertwined.

Finally, Dumbledore spoke first: "Mr. Gino, may I ask what you did before, which school you graduated from, and what your main profession was?"

As if he had anticipated Dumbledore's question, Gino simply smiled and calmly replied, "I have not received any systematic magical training; I have traveled the world with a wandering magical bard."

"I met Lockhart during another great adventure."

The boy's expression was calm, and he looked just like the real person.

"Really? Then where is your wand, Mr. Gino?"

As if they had planned it beforehand, with one playing the good cop and the other the bad cop, Snape immediately retorted sarcastically, "I haven't seen your wand."

"Ah, I learned the spellcasting method from a magic school in Africa, which usually involves hand gestures." Gino smiled and shrugged, snapping his fingers and a dazzling spark blooming in the air in front of him.

"Not bad casting method!"

Dumbledore offered his comments with a smile, but the seriousness that flashed in his eyes was unmistakable.

"Would you like something to drink?"

"Green tea is fine."

"It seems Mr. Gino has also been to the East?"

After a brief silence, a steaming cup of green tea appeared on the table.

The boy silently raised his teacup, his gaze lingering on the water stains on the table, and sighed, "Yes, I like that place, even though I'll never be able to go back in this lifetime."

"Alright, don't be too sad, Mr. Gino."

Dumbledore smiled; he could see the reluctance in the boy's eyes, as if the boy truly held deep feelings for him.

"Oh, right."

Dumbledore took a sip of tea, letting the steam dampen his glasses, and leaned back on the sofa with a smile: "Mr. Gino, as a bard, you should have heard about all the major events on this continent."

"So what do you think of the name Voldemort?"

"Voldemort? A stupid madman." Gino laughed, crossed his arms, and stared at Dumbledore. "To be honest, I have a friend named the Joker. Bring him along, and he could easily crush Voldemort."

After all, the Joker's ability to treat mental illness can have a synergistic effect greater than the sum of its parts, so there's no doubt that Voldemort might go mad.

"Heh, nonsense." Snape did not agree with the boy's words.

It seems that in the other party's words, Voldemort was just a clown-like puppet.

"Alright, it's getting late, let's go back and get some rest."

Dumbledore glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled at Gino, saying, "The elves of this castle will arrange a teacher's room for you."

"I hope you have a wonderful time at Hogwarts."

Hearing the old man's words, Gino smiled, stood up, and took his leave.

"Of course, I believe I will have a great time."

"Clatter".

The figure left the office, and the door closed.

The smile on Dumbledore's face vanished, replaced by a deep solemnity.

"Snape, did you see that? The way that kid just cast the spell was simply unheard of."
