Chapter 245 The Dark Magic Professor

The fireplace, with its burning campfire, kept the cabin warm.

The boy leaned back on a sofa with a calm expression, his gaze fixed on the whiskey on the table.

The new semester will begin soon, and Gino is looking forward to it.

London.

Inside a suburban apartment in the western district.

Inside the second-floor window, a black-haired young man wearing glasses was intently staring at a thick photo album on the table.

What's even more amazing is that the photos in the book actually move on their own.

From a photo of a kind couple holding a young child, to a photo of a boy with a youthful face standing side by side with two close friends, playing with each other.

They are all smiling in the photo, and it's clear they have a very good relationship.

Looking at the photos of the three people, the bright green eyes behind the round-framed glasses were filled with nostalgia.

"Chirp chirp chirp!"

Not far away, in a birdcage placed near the desk, a white-feathered owl was struggling to knock against the iron cage with its beak.

"Hathaway, stop fooling around."

Harry Potter frowned and turned to stare at his owl.

"I couldn't let you out, you know that."

Harry reached out and stroked the owl's head, trying to calm the restless owl.

"I cannot use magic outside of school."

"And, Uncle Vernon."

The boy hadn't finished speaking.

"Harry Potter!"

A hoarse, deep voice rang out from downstairs.

"Okay, what did I say again?"

Harry reluctantly closed the book and stood up.

He pushed open the narrow doorway and squeezed through the already small doorway.

My gaze fell on the living room.

A woman in a red dress and apron is smiling broadly as she places a cherry on a large cake.

"Vernon, he's there."

Upon seeing Harry appear, the woman pointed at him.

Harry turned the corner and saw a portly middle-aged man tying a tie for a chubby little man.

"Harry!"

Upon seeing the boy appear, the middle-aged man sneered and stared at Harry with icy eyes: "If you can't control that owl, then get out of this house with it."

"No, maybe if I let it out for an hour or two each day, it will work."

"Shut up!" Harry responded with an even louder roar than before: "I'm the boss in this house!"

"Fine," Harry sighed, and his aunt added, "You're grounded, Harry!"

The days of being confined to the house passed quickly.

When Harry was released from his home, he was led into Diagon Alley by Hagrid, the half-giant.

Diagon Alley remains bustling with people.

But for Harry, he would rather sleep on the streets than go back to his damn aunt and uncle's house.

"Harry!"

Just as the boy was looking around, a joyful female voice rang out from behind him.

A gentle breeze blew by, and a girl with long brown hair suddenly rushed out and appeared beside the two.

The girl, dressed in Hogwarts linen robes, beamed with a warm smile when she saw Harry.

"Hermione!"

The moment Harry saw the girl, a warm smile appeared on his face.

How was your holiday?

"This is terrible." Harry shook his head helplessly. "Forget about me. Hermione, you need to tell me what textbooks we need to buy for the new term!"

Seeing her best friend's anxious expression, Hermione shook her head with a wry smile: "Harry, don't worry, I haven't bought any books either. Come with me, let's go to the bookstore."

The two little ones took Hagrid to various bookstores to choose the textbooks they needed for the new semester.

"Hmm, let me see the list." Hermione looked down at the note in her hand.

"I've bought everything I needed."

"But," the girl hesitated, "why didn't the Defense Against the Dark Arts course require purchasing the textbook?"

"Defense Against the Dark Arts?" Upon hearing Hermione's words, Harry's face flashed with a helpless expression: "Come on, Hermione, all the teachers who have taught this course are incompetent."

"But."

Hearing Harry's words, Hermione hesitated, but considering Professor Quirrell's behavior, the girl ultimately chose to remain silent.

The two quickly bought the books they needed and parted ways at the entrance to Diagon Alley.

"Oh, right, Harry, don't forget when school starts!" Hermione earnestly reminded her forgetful friend, and the two parted ways.

The start of the school year always seems to go by quickly.

As night fell, teachers and students returning to school gathered in twos and threes at the castle auditorium.

The ceiling of the hall shimmered with a dazzling golden starlight.

From under the ceiling

Four long tables were set up in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, and the robes worn by the people wearing them were emblazoned with the crests of their respective houses.

Every long table was full of people.

Everyone enthusiastically shared their holiday experiences with their classmates and friends.

"Buzz buzz buzz~"

The sound of many people speaking at once was like the buzzing of thousands of noisy bees.

At this moment, four long tables are set up.

Dumbledore sat in the center of the classroom, flanked by Professor Snape, whose face was grim, and Professor McGonagall, who was always serious.

However, many young wizards noticed an empty chair next to Headmaster Dumbledore, which piqued the curiosity of many students.

Perhaps that empty seat belongs to the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

"Have you heard?" Ron's twin brother sidled up to Redhead Ron. "The new professor is different this time!"

"Huh?" Ron stared with his dead fish eyes. "Isn't it Professor Lockhart?"

"Oh, my foolish brother, I didn't expect you to know it was Professor Lockhart?" Fred looked at his brother with some surprise, shaking his head. "I heard it from someone else."

"The new professor is very young."

"And people who've heard him say that guy is handsome."

"A new teacher?" Harry sighed, finishing the rest of his bread on the table. "I just hope this teacher has some real skills."

"To be honest, I even doubt that any class of teachers stays for more than a semester."

More and more wizards gathered in the hall.

Until almost everyone had arrived at the auditorium.

"Smack."

A series of crisp footsteps clearly reached everyone's ears.

This feeling is incredibly wonderful.

It should have been swallowed up by the noisy crowd, but surprisingly, it resounded clearly throughout the auditorium.

This caused everyone to involuntarily shut their mouths.

Everyone held their breath in solemn anticipation, everyone eagerly awaiting the outcome.

They looked in the direction of the footsteps.

"Ah, tonight is going to be lively."

The blond boy, dressed in an unremarkable black suit, walked down the hallway.

The magnificent chandelier overhead cast its light, making her golden hair appear as dazzling as a radiant glow.

Gino Luther smiled.

Even under the gaze of countless eyes, she showed no stage fright.

He walked naturally and gracefully to Dumbledore's side and sat down next to the revered headmaster.

The boy leaned lazily back in his chair.

"Welcome, Gino, everyone's been waiting for you."

Dumbledore looked at the boy with a smile.

He stroked his long, silvery-white beard and tapped his wine glass lightly.

Although the hall was already quiet, Dumbledore still stood up and addressed the crowd, "Young wizards."

"Before we begin our meal, please allow me to introduce you to our new teacher."

"Let Professor Gino Luther say a few words for us."

He sat down with a smile, leaving the stage to the young man.

"Whoosh!"

Almost instantly, everyone's eyes fell on the boy.
