Chapter 137 Let the Tearing Begin
Chapter 137 Let the Tearing Begin
The football training camp has begun. Martin, with a tactical board in hand and a whistle around his neck, stands in front of the goal, earnestly directing the female players' training.
As he blew his whistle, the rondo began.
Six female players formed a circle, with the tallest Latina player taking the initiative to grab the ball.
Martin shouted, "One-touch passing, no hesitation! That's the foundation of quick passing and movement! Yes! That's it, speed it up!"
Elsa, the tall female player, poked the ball away, and the ball rolled quickly toward Martin.
She had played football with Martin on the beach, and rushed over like the wind, crashing into Martin with a thud.
Martin was hit hard, but he didn't fall down. He caught Elsa and helped her up.
Director Kapis unsurprisingly yelled "Cut!": "Let's do it again."
Martin helped Elsa up and reminded her, "Be careful, don't rush so fast."
Elsa, with her back to the director, winked at him: "How was it? Pretty soft, right? Shall we go for a walk on the beach tonight?"
These young Mexican actors practice English specifically to earn more opportunities.
Martin had no interest in such things and calmly said, "Go get ready, we're about to start filming."
Elsa added, "I know a lot."
Martin, a serious person like him, couldn't understand at all: "Sorry."
Elsa then said, "Give me a chance."
Martin raised his hand and called out, "Makeup artist, I need a touch-up."
Elsa pursed her lips and could only go back to try and get a turn.
Filming resumed, and Martin shouted again, the lap time began once more.
This one passed smoothly.
Martin then stood in front of the penalty area, instructing the female players on shooting practice.
His shots are all of this cool and stylish type, without needing complex character personalities or intense emotional conflicts.
The take with the most NG takes was actually Martin himself demonstrating the shot.
The penalty area line looked close to the goal, but it wasn't easy to kick the ball into the goal with an angle. Martin's first shot was too powerful and went skyward.
The next two kicks landed within the goal area, but rolled towards the goalkeeper.
Carpis didn't want to waste time, so he let Martin shoot with standard form, not caring where the ball went.
Then let the local football coach take the shot, and edit it in as needed later.
During a break from filming, Martin had just arrived under the parasol when Blake sat down right next to him.
"You're not good at sports?" Blake looked at Martin's near-perfect physique. "That shouldn't be the case."
Martin simply stated, "I played football a few times many years ago, but haven't touched it since. It's not a sport I'm good at."
Blake, wanting to know more, asked, "What are you good at?"
Martin said, "Riding, shooting, and hand-to-hand combat."
Blake blinked and asked deliberately, "Are you referring to what I'm thinking?"
Martin tapped the armrest of his chair: "I'm a decent man, don't talk nonsense to me."
Blake stopped talking, sat sideways in his chair, and quietly observed Martin's every move.
Suddenly, she remembered something and reminded Martin: "You met my brother Eric at WMA; he came to visit the set."
Martin didn't understand what she meant by saying all this.
Blake looked around but didn't see his older brother. He pointed to his head and said, "He's a bit slow and sometimes does stupid things."
Martin said, "I'm not going to talk to him."
The makeup artist came over to touch up the makeup, and the photoshoot was about to begin again.
Blake picked up the script and waved it around: "Shall we go to the beach to rehearse after we're done?"
"Okay." Martin got up and walked towards the film set.
The two characters' most important scenes all take place on the beach.
Not far away, Elsa unscrewed a bottle of water and looked towards the rest area.
Blake, with her blonde hair tied in a ponytail, was like a princess on set. She liked to call the director and producer "uncle," and no one wanted to mess with her.
The other three actresses in the same group all had to give way to her.
Elsa spat out a mouthful of water and cursed, "Bitch!" She then looked at Martin, remembering what had just happened, and muttered, "Rotten man!"
She had sacrificed a lot to get into this film crew, and her dream was to get a plane ticket to Los Angeles.
Her acting school teacher once told her not to trust middle-aged and old men, because they would trick her out of what she wanted and then leave.
Young people are more prone to impulsiveness.
The role she chose was just a supporting role in one production, but in another production with a similar budget, she was the absolute lead.
Nearby, one of the female protagonists, April Tublin, heard Elsa's words and, following Elsa's face, saw Martin and Black.
After a moment's thought, Aibo remembered which team Elsa was on, found his best friend Erica, and they went to the locker room together.
Elsa finished filming her scenes for the day and went back to the dressing room to shower and change.
After taking a shower, I could hear two girls talking through a row of closets.
"Blake is getting close to that Martin Davis guy, are they having an affair?"
"Possibly."
"It must be. Someone saw them secretly meeting on the hotel beach yesterday. Later, they went back to Blake's room together and stayed there for a long time before coming out."
"Yes, I heard from the makeup artist that they arranged to meet on that beach again today."
"Blake's brother, what's his name again? Right, Eric, he came to visit the set. It'll be interesting when he finds out."
"That tall, blond man? He looks so reassuring, just my type."
"Stop flirting. Eric wouldn't even look at you. His father's a producer, he's influential in Hollywood..."
Elsa finished dressing and quietly left the dressing room.
Two girls peeked out from behind the closet and watched Elsa walk away.
Erica asked, "Will she go?"
April said, "It doesn't matter if we go or not, we'll just say a few words. It's fine if you don't go, but it would be best if you could. That bitch Blake, flaunting her power in front of me, I won't let her get away with it!"
She raised her voice: "I'm clearly the main character, but she demanded more screen time and stole the spotlight. What do she take us for? A bunch of leaves fawning over her?"
The behavior of those with connections trying to steal the spotlight is utterly despicable.
Erica said, "There's nothing I can do about it; she comes from a wealthy family."
Aibo scoffed: "I'm more famous and more experienced than her. I started acting when I was ten."
"I have something to do, I'll be going now." Erica left the locker room, her pace gradually slowing down.
Let's wait and see. What good will she get if this gets out of hand?
Erica is just an ordinary girl who dropped out of high school. She doesn't have big ambitions and envies the followers of celebrities the most.
Who is more likely to become famous, April or Black?
…………
After the film crew finished work, and with the hotel nearby, most people chose to walk back to the hotel.
Elsa, carrying her bag, walked and looked around, asking her fellow Mexican companions a few questions, and finally found her target near the hotel's basketball court.
Eric checked the time and prepared to return to the hotel.
He noticed a hot Latina girl standing by the roadside, staring at him intently, clearly attracted to him.
Eric tossed his blond hair in a flamboyant manner, and the Latina girl across from him strode over.
Latin women are known for their fiery passion, and Eric is confident in his own appearance, so he thinks it's perfectly normal.
"Hello, my name is..." Elsa had initially intended to use a pseudonym when she approached Eric, but then an idea struck her—wasn't this the perfect target? She spoke with fiery enthusiasm: "My name is Elsa Losat, handsome! What's your name? Can I have your contact information?"
Eric was particularly pleased that the girl had taken the initiative to ask for his contact information. He took out his phone and said, "My name is Eric Lively. Tell me your phone number."
Elsa gave him her phone number first, then deliberately asked, "Leverley?" She then looked Eric up and down carefully: "You look a bit like Blake."
Eric asked with a smile, "You know my sister, Blake Lively?"
"I know her." Elsa nodded, then hesitated, "I've heard things about her..."
Even Eric, who might be slow to realize, could tell that the other person was hiding something: "What is it? I'm Blake's brother, I have the right to know."
Elsa was still hesitant, and only after Eric urged her did she say, "There's a jerk on the crew who's a real liar. He asked her to go to the beach yesterday, and I heard he even went into Blake's room... I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything by it, I'm just worried that Blake is young and easily fooled."
Eric, a dutiful older brother, looked rather displeased: "Who dares to be so bold?"
Elsa said, "I think his name is Martin Davis."
"Thank you, you're a good person." Eric waved his phone. "I'll call you later."
"I'll wait." Elsa was delighted; the other party clearly valued the information she provided.
Eric returned to the hotel and inquired around. He learned that Martin was very conspicuous on set, and someone had seen him go to the hotel beach.
After finding out the details, Eric hurriedly left the hotel through the back door and went to the beach. He looked around and spotted a familiar figure near a group of rocks.
The two had met more than once at WMA and knew each other.
Eric quickened his pace and walked toward Martin.
Martin sat alone on a rock, script in hand, waiting for Blake to come over.
Bruce felt that he was sitting in a relatively far place, and that the actors' rehearsals were boring and not as interesting as the beautiful women on the beach.
Martin also saw Eric and, seeing him hurrying over, stood up to greet him: "Eric..."
Eric suddenly sped up, yelling, "Martin Davis!"
He charged forward, fists waving, like a golden bull.
Martin loosened his grip, and the script fell to the ground.
Eric looks tough, but he's nowhere near as good as Old Brooks, who he often trains and plays with.
Martin dodged to the side, grabbed Eric's wrist with his right hand, and demanded, "What's wrong with you?!"
"I'm going to beat your head open!" Eric tried to break free.
Using his strength, Martin hooked and tripped Eric with his foot while simultaneously pushing with his right hand, sending Eric sprawling onto the beach.
Bruce saw the commotion and immediately ran over.
Eric got up, crouched low, and charged at the ball like a defensive striker in football.
Martin easily dodged and kicked Eric in the butt, sending him sprawling face-first into the dirt.
He was about to get up when his arm was grabbed and forcibly twisted behind his back, while a heavy knee pressed down on his back at the same time.
Eric roared, "Martin Davis, you bastard, let me go! I'm going to smash your head in!"
Martin wasn't about to let him go. He pinned Eric to the damp sand, trying to calm him down: "What's wrong with you? What's wrong with you?"
Eric felt as if a mountain was pressing down on him, and he couldn't struggle at all.
