The damp sand clung to his face as Eric struggled desperately, but the person pressing down on him seemed to exert an immense force, making it difficult for him to move even slightly.
Bruce ran over and called out, "Martin!"
Martin looked up and saw Blake, wearing a blue vest and white shorts, running towards him.
But he didn't let go of Eric; who knows if the guy would go crazy if he got up.
Blake ran as fast as he could, shouting, "Stop fighting! Stop fighting!"
Upon seeing Bruce arrive first, Martin released Eric and took a step back.
Old Bu stood guard beside him.
Martin turned his gaze to Blake, his expression slightly scrutinizing.
Eric got up and turned to Martin when Blake rushed over and shoved him away.
"What's wrong with you?" she shouted. "Eric, what do you think you're doing? Why are you attacking Martin?"
Eric pointed to the sand on his face: "Are you kidding me? I'm your brother, and now someone's attacking me."
Hearing these words, Martin suddenly recalled his interview for Lord of War.
Blake shoved Eric again, pulling him away from Martin: "I saw it all, you hit him first."
Eric admitted, "I started it. Why did I hit him? Because I'm your brother, and I wanted to protect you!"
Blake rolled his eyes. With Eric's brain, who's protecting whom?
Bruce tried to interject, but Martin stopped him. The siblings were just arguing; they should just watch the show.
It's a pity I didn't bring any cola or sunflower seeds.
Bruce was quite helpless; Martin's personality was just too awful.
Blake stopped his brother and asked, "Why?"
Eric said, "Everyone on set is saying he forced his way into your room!" He yelled at Martin, "When we get back to Los Angeles, I'll definitely report him..."
Before he could finish speaking, Blake slammed the script in his hand into his face: "Where did you hear that from?"
Martin held up his phone: "I'm recording this. I'll sue you for defamation. I'm not kidding!"
He's not stupid, why would he choose to rehearse on the beach? Why would he randomly barge into someone else's room?
Blake turned back to Martin with an apologetic smile: "We're not going to rehearse today, I'm sorry." She pointed to Eric: "I'll deal with him first, he might have misunderstood."
There were other people on the beach besides them, and some had already started looking over.
Blake didn't want to be the center of attention.
"You go ahead and do your work." Seeing that there was no more drama to watch, Martin picked up his script and told Bruce to leave first.
Blake led Eric down another path.
Eric kept talking: "Don't pull me back, don't stop me, you want to protect that bastard?"
Blake yanked on his T-shirt and pulled him forward, saying, "You're such an idiot, I'm protecting you!"
At this point, she remembered Vogel, who had been bitten by a rattlesnake and might suffer lifelong consequences, and pulled hard on his arm, saying, "You have no idea what kind of person he is!"
Eric kept gesturing, "I've trained with him, I could fight him all day!"
Blake thought to himself, "The last person who boasted about being able to fight is still lying in the hospital."
Once inside the hotel lobby, she pulled Eric to a secluded spot in the lounge area and ordered two cold drinks.
Eric took a tissue and wiped the sand off his face.
Blake demanded, "What happened? Give me an explanation!"
Facing his assertive sister, Eric took a sip of his cold drink before saying, "Everyone on set is saying that you were... well, you know... with Martin..."
"Are you kidding me?" Blake crossed his arms. "I wish I could, but he's more cowardly than a mouse. He wouldn't dare touch me."
Eric was very surprised: "Really not?"
Blake said, "Absolutely not. I was just rehearsing with him on the beach, discussing our roles. Him coming into my room? No way!"
She was much smarter than her brother, and having witnessed a battle of rattlesnakes firsthand, she had somewhat evolved and guessed that this matter was not simple. She asked, "Who told you those things?"
Eric didn't want to talk about it, explaining, "She only told me out of kindness, she didn't mean anything by it."
"Is your head that big?" Blake made a circle smaller than a walnut with his finger, staring intently at Eric. "Who is she? Should I call Dad?"
Upon hearing his father's name, Eric backed down: "A Mexican woman, named Elsa Losat."
Blake took out his phone and dialed Brad's assistant's number, his voice particularly sweet: "Gary, it's me. I need your help with something. Is there a Mexican actress named Elsa Losat in the crew?"
After a brief "Please wait a moment," the person on the other end quickly replied, "Yes, she's playing a small role. Her contact information is..."
Blake wrote it down, said thank you, and hung up the phone: "Go find her and try to get information out of her if there's anyone else. Don't tell me you can't do it. Do you know how to use your charm? Also, don't sleep with her. If you want to stay in Mexico and go to jail, then never mind what I said."
"I'm going back to change my clothes and take a shower." Eric got up and left.
Blake reminded him, "I'll be waiting for you here."
Half an hour later, Eric came out of the elevator and returned to the lounge, saying, "Elsa heard people talking in the locker room. She only heard the words, not the people."
Blake said, "You brainless bitch!"
Eric had a headache: "Why make it so complicated?"
"I'm going to find Martin." Blake left the lounge, took the elevator upstairs, and knocked on the door of Martin's suite.
The door opened, and Bruce saw her, saying inside, "Blake's here."
Martin said, "Please come in."
Blake entered the living room and saw his crush drinking. He felt inexplicably pleased and unconsciously smiled, "Give me a drink."
Martin removed the wine and glass: "Your brother will kill me."
Thinking of his idiotic older brother, Blake explained, "He'll apologize to you tomorrow. He was used this time by a Mexican actress named Elsa..."
She repeated it quickly.
Martin remembers Elsa, the actresses who were tearing each other apart. He enjoyed watching them, and he would even bring his own Coke and sunflower seeds. But being forcibly dragged into it, of course, wouldn't be a good feeling.
Blake knew that the favorability he had painstakingly built up had decreased.
Martin, still making a fuss, said, "I filmed a lot of action scenes on the set of 'The Hills Have Eyes,' and I was hoping to find some peace and quiet here and get some rest, but I didn't expect to run into all this mess again."
Blake understood the implication in Martin's words: "I won't let that bitch get away with this. You just wait and see."
Martin said, "Then I'll wait."
Blake said goodbye and left. Bruce closed the door and came back, saying, "Isn't it more interesting when Hollywood women make a scene?"
Martin thought for a moment: "I guess so?"
Bruce didn't believe it: "A bunch of little girls."
…………
The following morning, after Martin finished filming a few scenes and came back to rest, Blake waved to him.
Bruce whispered, "It's starting? I'm getting excited. Hair-pulling or clothes-ripping?"
Martin said, "It's not as low-level as you, resorting to such lousy methods."
The jeans project was originally a collaborative effort initiated by Blake's father, Ernie Lively, whose personal relationships with producer Brad and director Carpis were very close.
Therefore, Blake chose the simplest and easiest way.
She approached producer Brad and said, "Uncle, a Mexican on the crew is spreading rumors about me and Martin, which is causing me a lot of trouble. If this gets back to Los Angeles, Martin and I will be in big trouble."
There were no Mexican actors in the cast, and Brad said directly, "Tell Gary who it is and get rid of her."
"Thank you, Uncle," Blake said with a smile. "When we get back to Los Angeles, you must come visit my house. I know where Dad keeps his best wine."
Brad chuckled: "It's settled then."
Blake spoke with Brad's assistant, Gary, for a few more minutes.
That morning, right on set, Geli called the Mexican actresses' agent and informed him that the crew was dismissing Elsa.
"I suggest you handle this strictly. She's done a lot of bad things on set." Gail only mentioned the consequences: "My boss is a senior member of the Hollywood Producers Union. If you don't handle this well, no production will work with you in the future."
The agent said, "I will give you a satisfactory answer."
He had Elsa taken away, and as she left the set, he told one of his subordinates, "Send her to Tijuana's red-light district. Get the message out to the crew, and let everyone else know: dreaming of going to America is fine, but don't cause me any trouble!"
At the rest area, Martin and Bruce were just watching the show.
Bruce sighed. "Nothing technically advanced."
Martin replied, "It's simple and convenient."
When the crew wrapped up work in the morning, Erica heard that Elsa had been fired from the crew and secretly went to Black to tell him.
She had prepared herself mentally and said, "When April brought up this topic and kept talking about you, I went along with her and chatted with her for a bit. When I left, I saw Elsa next door, but I never expected it to turn out like this."
Blake nodded slightly, looking gentle and mild: "Since you're willing to tell me, I won't hold it against you for what you said."
Erica brushed it off: "It was all Amber who was talking, I just chimed in. I just heard about Elsa, so I came to find you right away."
Blake suddenly had an idea: "I can accept you as a member of my sorority, but you have to do one thing for me."
"Really?" Erica exclaimed excitedly. "What do you want me to do?"
Blake lowered his voice and said a few words.
At noon, the crew ate lunch together at the restaurant, which was still a buffet.
Martin and Bruce found a quiet spot and leisurely enjoyed their Mexican barbecue.
Blake brought over a tray, sat down next to Martin, and whispered, "The show's about to start. Watch Amber's side."
Martin and Bruce turned to look in that direction.
April was having a meal at the same table as Erica when she turned to look at someone passing by. Erica then picked up a plate and smashed it over April's head.
Vegetable juices, sauces, and salads flowed down April's hair.
April turned her head and looked at Erica in surprise.
"That bitch secretly touched my private parts!" Following the physical attack, there was also psychological abuse. Erica clutched her lower abdomen, "She harassed me..."
The unexpected turn of events left Aibo momentarily stunned.
Erica screamed and burst into tears, pointing at April: "I considered you a friend, but you harassed me!"
The ship of friendship can capsize in an instant.
