Chapter 234 Let's do it together

Most of the people in the meeting room had left.

The three most important actors in the production team were exchanging feelings and clarifying the relationships between their characters, and no one else dared to disturb them.

Martin watched Nicholson with interest, unable to tell whether it was his true nature or an act.

With over forty years of acting experience, he is hailed as one of Hollywood's most outstanding actors, and perhaps acting has long been integrated into every aspect of his life.

Leonardo pointed at Nicholson: "You and Marlon Brando are known as the most fun-loving people on Sunset Boulevard."

Nicholson smiled and said to the two, "I want to see what new tricks the younger generation can come up with."

Leonardo said, "Martin, it's up to you."

Martin shrugged: "No problem."

Leonardo glanced at his watch: "I'm leaving now."

Martin also left the meeting room.

Nicholson ignored the things lying on the ground and came out as well.

Martin Menezes, standing next to him, slightly shook his head.

Martin is considering issues, especially the relationship between Jack Nicholson and Scorsese.

He slowed his pace, waiting for Nicholson to catch up, and asked directly, "Old Jack, that mat, are you targeting me?"

Nicholson stopped, then suddenly grinned and admitted, "That's right, I was targeting you."

Since this kind of person has admitted it to your face, he will definitely continue talking. Martin is waiting for him.

Sure enough, Nicholson continued, "I originally wanted to play a prank on you today. An old friend asked me to help you out. I've had a relationship with her for twenty years. Even if I don't care about her face, I have to care about her body, because I still want to mess with her."

He chuckled again: "I'm old enough to not care about anyone. She asked me to sleep with you, and I did. As for who's behind her, I don't care. I'm about to meet my maker. Even if Bill Gates comes, I'll still spit in his face! Now everyone knows I slept with you, and she has no face to refuse me."

Martin asked, "Who is she?"

Nicholson shrugged: "I've heard you're really good at getting people. I want to keep getting her. If you get her, how am I supposed to get her later?"

He's a man who speaks without restraint: "I've been with her for almost twenty years, and we haven't gotten tired of each other yet. Do you know why?"

To be honest, Martin was genuinely curious.

Menne, standing nearby, thought, "If someone can work with Nicholson for twenty years, they must be in their forties or fifties. He's the real expert in this area!"

I couldn't help but ask, "Why?"

Nicholson, with an expert's expression, said, "You young people are too focused on faces, chests, and legs. I've learned from over forty years that as long as these are passable, that's fine."

He pointed to Menez's two legs: "That's the key! Do you know how difficult it is to find someone who can both absorb and enhance? You'll understand once you've experienced more of this."

Suddenly, Martin saw Matt Damon emerge from the restroom a few dozen meters behind Nicholson.

Just as Damon was about to turn around, Martin quickly reached out and grabbed Nicholson's shoulder and neck, preventing him from turning back, and said with great enthusiasm, "Hearing you say that makes me itchy, how about we do it together sometime?"

Nicholson looked surprised, a wicked smile spreading across his face: "You have this hobby?"

Martin didn't even look at Damon's side: "When you're messing with someone, you have to go all in to make them unable to take care of themselves."

Meanwhile, Damon came out of the restroom and immediately saw Martin and Nicholson with their arms around each other. He then heard the two discussing how to mess with someone.

Who are you targeting?

In this situation, it's hard not to think of the fart that just happened on the cushion.

Matt Damon and Nicholson have no connection. He and Ben Affleck belong to Weinstein's faction in Hollywood. Nicholson is an old guy with seniority, acts on a whim, and has a lot of connections. He doesn't give Harvey any face at all.

One of these two stole his second male lead role, and the other embarrassed him in public.

They've gotten together?

Matt Damon didn't go over; he quickly turned into the elevator and went downstairs.

As they walked down the corridor near the conference room, Nicholson noticed that Martin's arm around his neck and shoulders was very tight, and a bad feeling suddenly crept into his mind: "Hey, you little rascal, you don't like men, do you? I may be a womanizer, but I never date men."

Martin didn't let go of him: "Don't worry, I only like women."

Nicholson pulled his hand away from Martin's: "You're not normal." He thought for a moment: "You're plotting against me! Why did you suddenly put your arm around my shoulder?"

Martin was frank: "To deepen our relationship so we can mess with people together."

Nicholson looked around, finding nothing amiss, and said, "She's my darling, I won't share her with you." The old man turned to leave, adding, "When you and Leonardo get together in New York for a party, don't forget to call me! I might just leak it to the media!"

After everyone left, Martin and Menez also went downstairs.

Bruce met up in the lobby on the first floor, and Martin said, "Once you're on set, keep an eye on Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson."

Bruce nodded.

The three walked outside, and Menez quickly recounted what had happened.

Bruce said, "I think we should focus more on Matt Damon." He looked at Menez and said, "There aren't many people who would do something like this to someone like Nicholson. You should ask Allen about it."

Menne, who had a date with Allen that evening, readily agreed, "Leave it to me!"

After leaving Warner Bros., Menez needed to find a place to rest and recharge before the next big battle that night.

Martin had a date and headed to a high-end restaurant near South Bourgeois Street, where he met Blake Lively.

"Sorry, the script meeting just ended." He sat down in the booth.

Blake clearly waited a while, but showed no impatience whatsoever: "It's okay, work is important."

Martin took the menu from the waiter and handed it to her: "Order whatever you want, don't be shy."

Blake spoke with a warm tone: "I saw in the World News that you signed a writing contract with them and earned a lot of money. I won't skimp on that for you."

Martin lacked the writing skills, so the draft for fulfilling the agreement had to be completed by Thomas.

Bruce volunteered, but Martin didn't dare use him. Firstly, Bruce's skills were worse than his own, and secondly, Bruce's topic was "A Guide to Finding the Perfect Big Butt".

Using Martin Davis's name to write his rotten stuff? What a joke!

After ordering, Blake asked curiously, "Can we talk about those two spies?" Her eyes were sparkling, like a little fan meeting her idol: "Eric is jealous of you? With his brains, let alone discovering spies, he'd be stupid enough to be mistaken for a spy if he ran into the FBI."

Martin was exasperated; the matter of espionage was off-limits, so he simply said, "I have a confidentiality agreement with the FBI."

As a devoted admirer, Blake couldn't let her crush feel awkward, so she quickly changed the subject: "You moved, when are you going to invite me over to visit?"

Martin said, "We can do it today. After we finish eating, we'll go to Sherman Oaks."

After the food was served, Blake finished eating as quickly as possible, and the lunch took only half an hour.

After paying the bill, Martin took Blake from the mall's underground parking lot into the Cadillac Escalade.

When Blake saw Bruce driving, he immediately greeted him: "Hey, Bruce, long time no see."

Bruce smiled at her.

A dozen minutes later, the Cadillac arrived in the Coty community and drove straight into Martin's new home.

Blake got out of the car, first looking around the yard, lawn, and pool, then took a deep breath, took Martin's arm, and his sycophantic side kicked in: "Your scent is everywhere here, it smells so good."

Martin invited her to the main house: "This way."

Blake followed Martin on a tour of the house, saying as they walked, "I'm going to move out when I turn 18." She sighed, "It's a shame I can't afford such a beautiful house."

Martin, a kind man, couldn't bear to let the girl sleep on the streets, so he immediately said, "I have a spare room here that you can rent."

Blake was happy, but muttered to himself, "I have no money, how am I going to pay the rent?"

Martin had very high standards and principles: "Let's talk about this after your 18th birthday." He specifically asked, "When are you having your birthday party?"

Blake said, "August 25th."

Knowing that Martin was about to go to New York to film a movie and might stay there for a long time, the female fan naturally thought of her idol: "This movie is very important to you. If you don't have time to come back, I'll throw a party at home and then go to New York to visit you on set."

Martin, with his thick skin, said, "We'll see how things go."

Blake, however, was determined: "It's a deal. I'll come to New York to find you, and you have to throw me a special birthday party."

Martin replied, "Of course, it will be something you'll never forget."

Blake couldn't help but feel excited, wondering what kind of special gift Martin would give, and what kind of special event he would plan.

Martin took Blake on a tour of the building, upstairs and downstairs.

In the underground storage room, a souvenir set was also specially given to Blake.

It includes a crocodile tusk pendant, a bull horn clown carving, and a jade bracelet.

Blake liked it very much.

She would be happy even if her crush gave her a blank piece of paper.

Around 2 p.m., Blake's father called, and she had to say goodbye and leave.

After dropping Blake off at Burbank, Martin, sitting in the passenger seat, looked at the numerous shops lining both sides of the road and asked, "Old Blake, what's a good 18th birthday present for a girl?"

Bruce replied without hesitation: "Fang pendants and bull horn carvings, and add a piece of jade for important figures."

"I've already sent one set." Martin suddenly became an animal rights activist: "I'm worried about the extinction of saltwater crocodiles and bison in Australia, so it's better to send some industrial products."

Bruce said, "Diamonds, luxury goods, watches, those things are always a safe bet." Then he added, "Why are you suddenly acting like a human?"

Martin emphasized, "I've always been a good person. I was just poor before. What good is luxury when you're poor?"

Old Bu agrees with this. For example, he and the Kardashian sisters used to be white and gold, but they only started giving each other gifts in the last six months after they started making money.

Martin didn't stay in Los Angeles for more than a few days. In mid-July, he went to New York with the film crew.
