Chapter 278 Real Person Poster

Chapter 278 Real Person Poster

As dawn broke outside the window, Martin opened his eyes. Things were scattered all over the floor of the room, and the sound of running water came from the bathroom; someone was taking a shower.

He never expected the progress to be so astonishing.

I originally thought it would take several more rounds of back and forth.

As a result, Aniston couldn't wait to take him upstairs.

But then I thought, isn't it true that women of Aniston's age are practical?

Martin propped himself up and sat up. He had mostly been lying down last night, but now he felt full of energy.

Just as I was about to enter the restroom, the door opened.

Aniston has stepped out, and last night she proved that actresses in their thirties can be cute, mature, and alluring.

At this moment, she adopted the demeanor of a mature woman disciplining a younger man, sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, and asked Martin, "There's a question you haven't answered."

Martin looked innocent: "No, right? You know everything about me."

Aniston crossed her legs, shifting their position as if by instinct: "Tell me honestly, have you ever done anything wrong in front of Rachel's poster?"

Martin looked hesitant to speak: "Well... it's hard to say."

"Tell me quickly!" Aniston, like a wolf in sheep's clothing, wasn't about to let the little puppy off the hook: "Tell me, and I'll give you a reward."

Martin, a very cooperative person, immediately covered his face and said, "It's too embarrassing to say, how about I demonstrate?"

Aniston tilted her head: "Sure, a demonstration would be more intuitive."

Martin, however, looked quite troubled, giving Aniston a meaningful glance: "There's no Rachel poster here, I can't get the feel for it, I can't demonstrate!"

Aniston cupped the face of America's sweetheart in her hands and asked, "Rachel's poster is here. How's this one? Does it give you any feeling?"

No matter how exquisite a paper poster is, how can it compare to the usability of a real poster?

This is the story of an atypical "male fan" and his goddess.

Just as the two were extremely busy, Martin's phone, which he had left in the suite's living room, lit up again, displaying Julie's number.

After a while, the call ended automatically because no one answered.

The screen showed as many as 10 missed calls!

In another room on the same floor, Julie was on the verge of tears. She put away her phone and cursed, "Fuck! Martin, you bastard, why didn't you answer the damn phone?!"

Being so close, yet only able to think, unable to see, unable to hear, was almost unbearable for her.

Julie sighed and started imagining again: Martin and Aniston, that adulterous couple, didn't leave their room all night. What were they doing?

Meanwhile, in a mansion in Beverly Hills.

With dark circles under his eyes, Brad Pitt opened a bottle of whiskey and poured it directly into his mouth.

They only stopped temporarily when they started hiccuping from the alcohol.

Alcohol can make people forget many troubles.

He sat on the sofa, turned on the TV, and the entertainment channel was broadcasting the news.

"Last night, Brad Pitt had another manic episode, kicking someone's car and then smashing his own phone!"

Accompanied by a voice-over, the news broadcast a video of the parking lot from last night, which clearly showed paparazzi secretly filming it.

"Since his breakup with Angelina Jolie, this Hollywood star has become an alcoholic and has suffered numerous emotional breakdowns. Many in the industry speculate that he may be experiencing psychological and mental health issues, possibly suffering from bipolar disorder..."

Pete took another big gulp of his drink, then gave the TV the middle finger: "Fuck!"

The doorbell rang at the mansion's front door. Pete stood up, swaggered over, pressed the intercom, and his manager came over.

He opened the door, waited a short while, and then the manager entered the living room.

"Why are you here so early? Is something the matter?" Pete asked.

The manager glanced at the time, grabbed two glasses, took the drinks from Pete, filled each glass only a quarter full, and said, "The lawyer couldn't get through to you on the phone, so he came to me."

Pete asked, "What happened now?"

The manager handed Pete the newspaper he had brought and pointed to the picture on it: "The car you kicked last night isn't ours. The owner called the police, and it might involve compensation."

"Fuck!" Pete felt incredibly unlucky; nothing he did went right. "You just want compensation, right? Give it to him!"

The manager nodded and reminded him, "Don't appear in front of the media lately. Those paparazzi and entertainment reporters won't let you off the hook. Your condition..."

Pitt was heartbroken by Jolie and Aniston, and waved his hand: "I don't want to deal with the outside world these days. Let me know if you have any news. As before, focus on Aniston."

"Okay." The manager then took his leave.

Pete calmed himself for a moment, then picked up his drink again and made a call to the housekeeping company: "Where's my housekeeper? Get her here right away!"

A wounded heart needs comforting.

…………

Around noon, Aniston slumped on the sofa, half asleep.

Martin came out of the bathroom, quickly dressed, and gently patted her cheek: "Honey, I ordered lunch and put it on the table."

Aniston was extremely satisfied with the puppy in every way, and looked up to ask, "Aren't you going to eat with me?"

Martin said softly, "Ali Emmanuel invited me to lunch at noon, and I can't break my promise."

Aniston knew who Ali was, so she didn't press Martin and said, "Go ahead, I'll rest for a bit and then go home."

Martin kissed her forehead and then left the suite.

Before they even reached the elevator, the door to a suite next door suddenly opened, and Julie stood in the doorway.

She gave Martin a strange smile and asked, "Why didn't you answer my calls?"

Martin made up an excuse: "My phone was on silent, I didn't hear it."

Julie gestured towards the door with her eyes: "Would you like to come in and sit down?"

Martin spoke with unusual firmness: "I have urgent business to attend to, so I won't go in. We can talk another time."

Julie nodded, but wasn't about to let Martin off the hook: "I'll wait for you to come home in the Coty neighborhood."

"Whatever." Martin was a man of principle.

Julie went back to her room and closed the door.

Martin took the elevator downstairs, met up with Bruce, and then headed to Century City to meet Ali Emmanuel.

Bruce got into the car and handed Martin a newspaper: "Pete isn't in a good position."

Martin saw it: "Was it filmed last night? Did you do it?"

Bruce shrugged: "I was worried that our journalist friends wouldn't have money to pay rent or buy food, so I called them. Sacrificing one person like Pete can make many people live a better life, so it's worth it."

He added, "Jordy also specifically reminded the car owner that he could get a large sum of compensation from Pete."

Martin exclaimed, "Old Brooks, those entertainment reporters should give you a big plaque with 'Friend of Journalists' inscribed on it!"

Bruce thought of the golden avocado Sophia had given Martin: "It has to be pure gold; I won't accept ordinary ones!" He then asked, "The gift you asked me to deliver, did you keep it?"

Martin said, "It's up to Aniston."

Bruce asked, "Is it okay?"

"Aniston is a true billionaire," Martin thought to himself. "Even if you give her the most expensive gift, she might not care. It's better to give her something meaningful."

He emphasized, "That was prey that I hunted myself."

Bruce gave the middle finger to the passenger, and countless crocodiles and bison in Australia cried foul.

…………

The floor where the luxury suites are located at the Marmont Hotel.

After finishing her lunch alone and tidying up briefly, Aniston discovered a gift Martin had left for her on the coffee table in the living room.

Upon opening the mahogany box, there were two gifts in total, neither of which were particularly valuable.

One is a fang pendant.

The other piece is a cow horn carving that is over 20 centimeters long.

The sculpture is modeled after Martin himself, depicting a clown with a large head and hands clasped together. Every detail, from the face to the hair to the clothes, is exquisitely sculpted, with an uneven, textured surface.

Aniston grabbed the clown sculpture's leg and picked it up, but something felt off.

There was a note underneath the gift box.

"Last night I suddenly thought of a gift that has special sentimental value for you. The raw materials for these two items all come from saltwater crocodiles and bison that I hunted myself when I was working in Australia. They are not very valuable, but they are very special to me. I hope you like them."

Aniston is not short of money, nor is she short of any expensive things.

This seemingly simple gift made her feel that the young man was exceptionally thoughtful, without any of the unpleasant smells of money.

Aniston took out her phone and sent Martin a text message: "I really love your gift."

After sending the text message, she couldn't help but wonder if she should send Martin a return gift.

Seeing the unusual gift Martin gave her, Aniston felt that her own gift to Martin should not be tainted with too much money.

Martin probably wouldn't like that.

Thinking about these trivial matters, Aniston picked up her bag and left the room.

…………

On that very day, after meeting with Ali Emmanuel, Martin renegotiated his brokerage contract with WMA, reducing his commission from 10% to 8%.

This is the first time such a person has been included among WMA's clients born in the 80s.

Even Natalie Portman, who starred in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, did not enjoy such treatment as being directly under Ali's jurisdiction.

The signing went very smoothly, and afterwards Martin followed Thomas to his office.

Thomas asked directly, "Some tabloids are talking about your rumored affair with Aniston today, what's going on?"

Martin said, "I was with Aniston last night, the tabloids don't need to listen to them."

Thomas readily agreed: "How should we make an issue of this?"

"It's not the right time yet, no need to respond," Martin said, half-jokingly. "I'm just adding an extra layer of insurance for the film. Success is hard-won, so we need to use all the favorable factors."

Actually, he's no different from Pitt; he also used women to climb the social ladder.

Thomas realized that Martin wasn't just chasing girls; he was also creating publicity for "Limitless."

After all, movies are a product that relies heavily on advertising and marketing.

A film that is both of guaranteed quality and generates marketing buzz is unlikely to perform poorly.
