Chapter 307 He'll be beaten to death.
Chapter 307 He'll be beaten to death.
At the edge of the pine forest, another firecracker flew out, exploding into a cloud of red mist.
Leonardo peered through the trees and spotted two familiar figures. "Jack and Meryl ran away!" he exclaimed.
Martin zipped up his backpack, which was full of firecrackers, and said, "Let's go!"
Leonardo quickly packed his homemade mortar into his bag and followed Martin out of the woods.
Saoirse Ronan reacted quickly and immediately caught up with the two men.
Martin jumped onto the electric scooter, and Leonardo followed.
"Wait for me!" Saoirse rushed over.
After she got into the car, the Martin drove forward.
Leonardo warned Saoirse, "Don't tell anyone about what happened today!"
Martin gestured with his hands: "The consequences will be severe."
Recalling the awful things those two idiots had done, Saoirse was a little worried and nodded repeatedly: "I swear to God, I will never tell anyone."
Leonardo winked at Martin; in reality, they didn't care whether others knew or not.
But along the way, no one really noticed them.
Martin added, "Your name is Saoirse Ronan, and you're filming Atonement. I'll remember you."
Saoirse asked with a pained expression, "Can you please forget about me?"
Martin pointed to the digital camera hanging around her neck: "What are you doing in the pine forest?"
Saoirse didn't want to talk about it because it involved her privacy.
Leonardo pulled a firecracker from his pocket and looked Saoirse up and down, as if trying to figure out where to put it.
Saoirse quickly said, "I just thought it was interesting to watch those people messing around in the woods. I've been coming over to peek lately when I have nothing else to do. Today I didn't have much to do, so I brought a camera..."
Martin held out his hand: "Camera."
Saoirse hesitated before handing it to Martin: "Yours has been deleted."
Martin carefully examined the photos, which were indeed all taken today, and said, "You'll get beaten to death if you keep doing this."
Saoirse, being an actress herself, understood what Martin meant: "You won't tell anyone else, right?"
Leonardo teased her, "That depends on what you do."
Saoirse instinctively shrank back, wanting to jump out of the car, but then worried about the camera and regretted being a voyeur...
Seeing that Leonardo had played the bad guy, Martin decided to play the good guy: "Leo means you have to give us something in return." Having experienced the kindness of older sisters before, he naturally switched to the role of the kind older brother: "How about this, you treat Leo and me to a nice meal, and we'll pretend we don't know anything about this."
Saoirse quickly reached into her pocket.
Martin added, "It's okay to peep, it's okay to play around, but don't take pictures randomly, or you'll get beaten to death."
"This guy's much better than Leonardo!" Saoirse nodded, pulled out less than five pounds of change from her pocket, and said, "How about I treat you to ice cream?"
Leonardo said, "Okay."
Martin's companions all agreed, so he didn't say anything more. He drove a short distance and parked the car in front of an ice cream shop on the outskirts of the commercial town.
Leonardo closed the two bags and followed Martin and Saoirse into the store.
The three of them each ordered a regular ice cream. Saoirse paid and sat down at a table by the glass wall, eating at a leisurely pace.
Leonardo reminded Martin, "Look outside."
Martin had already seen a few people returning from the north, most of them looking rather disheveled.
Saoirse scooped up a spoonful of ice cream, ate it in one big bite, and said, "I saw these people today, in the woods, following Nicholson and Streep."
Leonardo DiCaprio said, "How old are you to be spying? Are you planning to become a voyeur?"
Saoirse was a little afraid of Leonardo and didn't dare to reply.
"Old Jack's here." Just as Martin reminded them, an electric scooter roared past the ice cream shop, carrying Nicholson and Streep.
Apart from some dirt and dust on their clothes, the two of them seemed normal.
Leonardo said, "Jack will definitely thank us for this special gift."
"He didn't thank us properly; next time we'll give him an even more expensive gift." Martin felt his ice cream was especially delicious today: "I think Jack will definitely like our gift."
Leonardo pointed in the direction the scooter disappeared: "I saw it, he was very happy."
The three of them ate very slowly, especially as they watched the people from the north passing by in a disheveled state, making the ice cream taste even more delicious.
After a while, the last electric scooter came from the north. Not only was it moving very slowly, but it also wobbled and swerved, as if the driver was drunk.
The electric scooter stopped in front of the nearest ice cream shop, and Bell and Blanchett got off the scooter with extreme slowness, as if in slow motion, and limped into the shop.
"Let's find a place to sit down and rest," Bell said. "I called my assistant, she'll be here in a bit..."
He stopped there, because he saw Martin.
Blanchett noticed that besides Martin, Leonardo was also there, and tugged at Bell: "Take a break first."
Bell sat down with great difficulty, his leg, which had cramped up, was in terrible pain.
Even worse, Blanchett's fall pulled on his vital area, causing a tearing pain.
Blanchett sat down, and the moment her bottom touched the hard plastic chair, she bounced up, feeling a burning pain.
In the woods, I landed on my bottom first, and the fall was really hard.
Everyone's eyes turned to them, including Martin, Leonardo, and the ice cream shop staff.
"Could you get me a cushion, please?" Blanchett, being a top-notch actress, showed no sign of discomfort and maintained her composure.
The waiter brought over a soft cushion.
Blanchett gave a tip first, then sat on the cushion with the less painful side of her buttocks.
Saoirse lowered her voice to a whisper, her tone subtly ingratiating: "I saw them in the pine forest; they were with Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep..."
Upon hearing this, Martin and Leonardo roughly guessed what might have happened.
Martin gave Leonardo a wink.
The bastards were perfectly in sync, and Leonardo, disregarding the feelings of these British actors, turned to ask, "Chris, are you hurt? Need help?"
Martin observed very carefully and then said, "Kate, you don't seem to be feeling well. If there's anything I can help you with, just say so."
Blanchett didn't have a good impression of Martin and said with a straight face, "No need."
Martin was particularly friendly: "Just let me know if you need anything, Leo and I are right here."
Blanchett nodded slightly, though her face didn't look too good because her buttocks were still sore.
The waiters in the store were whispering among themselves.
"Martin and Leonard are really nice, especially their gentlemanly manners."
"That Blanchett is not only ugly, but he's also such a terrible person."
"The Sun's reporters are right outside the studio; I'll sell them the news after get off work!"
The sound of hurried footsteps at the door interrupted the women's private conversation. The two women ran into the store and came to Blanchett and Bell's side.
The two men exchanged a few words in hushed tones, and their assistants helped their respective owners leave the ice cream shop.
After these people left, Martin and his two companions finished their ice cream and left the store together.
Once on the electric scooter, Leonardo asked, "Little friend, where are you going?"
Saoirse, not wanting to face the somewhat fierce Leonardo, tugged at the sleeve of the amiable Martin: "Could you take me back to the Atonement set?"
Martin knew where the Atonement crew was located, and drove his electric scooter in that direction.
Seeing that Martin was very friendly, Saoirse asked, "Can I take a picture with you later? I especially loved your performance in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."
The electric scooter passed through the service area town and arrived at a medium-sized photography studio.
Saoirse got out of the car, pulled Martin along, and asked Leonardo to take a picture of them together.
Then she waved to Martin: "Goodbye, Martin."
Saoirse ignored Leonardo and ran into the photo studio.
Leonardo got into the driver's seat and said, "I've figured it out. Nicholson should give up his position as the bastard boss. You're a much bigger bastard than him."
Martin got into the car and shrugged: "Stop slandering me. In the ranking of the three bastards, Nicholson is the boss, then you, and lastly me."
Leonardo glanced back at the soundstage where the filming crew of Atonement was located: "Saoirse Ronan, how old is she?"
Martin shook his head. "Sure enough, the most despicable people have the most vile thoughts! Leo, please don't be so shameless, plotting against a young girl!"
Leonardo was so angry he laughed, wishing he could drag this jerk along and bang his head against a tree: "How could I possibly know someone like you!"
Martin said calmly, "Because we are the same kind of people."
Leonardo was speechless.
The two handed their homemade weapons to Bruce to handle, then quickly left the film studio and headed back to their hotel.
Less than an hour later, Nicholson returned as expected.
"Hey Jack, what's wrong?" Leonardo asked automatically. "Why do you look so pale?"
Nicholson took off his sunglasses, threw them on the table, looked at Martin, then at Leonardo, and demanded, "Tell me, what did you two do?"
Leonardo glared habitually: "What did we do? We..."
Nicholson pointed to his eyebrows: "You're acting."
Martin sighed, "Leo, can't you pull yourself together and show some improvement? Can you stop using your three-hit combo? Anyone off the street knows Leonardo DiCaprio's acting involves frowning, glaring, and yelling!"
Nicholson shook his head: "The Oscar voters would have to be blind to vote for you."
"Exactly!" Martin put his arm around Nicholson's shoulder. "He's terrible. When it comes to awards season PR, you should put in a good word for me and ignore Leo."
Leonardo, who was being looked down upon, suddenly realized something was wrong. Martin should have been on his side, so why was he standing with Nicholson?
Could this person be any more shameless?
Leonardo decided he had to find time to have a serious talk with Nicholson and get him to give up his position as leader, since only the worst of the trio should be the leader.
Whether someone is a jerk or not doesn't really matter; the main thing is that it's fun.
After all, at his level, finding enjoyment is the true meaning of life.
Changing women is like this, and so is messing around.
