Chapter 379 Martin's Weakness

Chapter 379 Martin's Weakness

After leaving the studio, Martin, Nicholson, and Leonardo DiCaprio arrived at the hotel where the film crew was staying in two cars.

The latter two entered the lobby first, and after waiting for a short while, Martin came in from outside.

The three of them were just about to go upstairs.

A familiar figure emerged from the hotel's revolving door.

As soon as Bell entered, he saw Martin and the other two.

These days, my already volatile emotions have surged up again.

Martin was very polite, displaying the spirit of a British gentleman, and greeted him like a close friend: "Chris, come over here, let me introduce you to two friends."

Even without Martin's introduction, Bale knew Leonardo and Nicholson.

The latter was the culprit that caused his sponge to tear.

Bell stared at the trio of bastards, his focus fixed on Nicholson, his eyes bloodshot as if they could emit heat rays that would leave the three scumbags with nothing but ashes.

Martin said, "We're all friends, so getting to know each other will help each other in the future."

Nicholson was much more direct than Martin; he laughed at Bell.

The tough guy of the trio was right next to him, and Nicholson, full of courage, raised his hand and made a gesture as if he were launching a rocket launcher from his shoulder.

He moved his lips, making a "pop" sound.

Bell seemed to hear fireworks exploding in his ears, and he seemed to see Cate Blanchett slipping down, and then he felt a sudden, sharp pain in his lower body.

Michael Kane came out of the revolving door and saw everything.

As a fellow British actor, he quickened his pace and patted Bale on the shoulder: "Didn't you say you'd buy me a drink today?"

Bale turned his head and looked at Kane.

Kane noticed that his eyes were bloodshot and his jaw muscles were trembling, like Batman enraged by the Joker. He grabbed his arm and said, "Let's go get a drink."

Bell relaxed and followed Kane toward the elevator.

Kane advised, "Don't bother with those vulgar Americans. They'll only drag down our noble character to their own incredibly low standards and then try to defeat us with those pathetic methods."

Bell nodded slightly: "Those three bastards are all perverts."

Kane patted his arm: "Ignore them."

Bell took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, but the negative things that had accumulated from one incident after another were not so easy to dissipate.

He appeared calm on the surface, but in reality, all his anger and hatred were suppressed inside.

Instead of going upstairs, the two went to the hotel bar for drinks.

Watching Kane and Bell turn into the elevator, Martin pointed at Nicholson and said, "Look at you, you scared him away. I was hoping to have a good talk with him."

Nicholson said, "What are we talking about? Why are we tearing each other apart again?"

Leonardo pushed the two forward, saying, "You two bastards, can't you do something like a human being?"

In the Western restaurant on one side of the lobby, Scott, with his legs spread apart, came out through the connecting side door, saw Martin diagonally opposite, and said to the person behind him, "Martin and Leonardo."

Sophia quickened her pace, overtook Scott, and waved to Martin, saying, "Aren't you going to introduce these two?"

Martin introduced the female warrior to Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicholson.

When Leonardo DiCaprio shakes hands with someone, it feels like his hand is being deliberately squeezed twice. This provocative gesture, performed by a blonde, long-legged supermodel, is enough to make one's heart flutter.

When Sofia did it, Leonardo felt like his hand bones were about to break, and his mouth twitched in pain.

Seeing this, Nicholson simply didn't shake hands with Sofia, but just smiled and nodded.

Sofia extended the invitation, saying, "Martin and I are friends. It's not easy to meet big stars like you here. Shall I buy you a drink?"

Leonardo tucked his right hand behind his back and kept moving it around, feeling a little better.

Nicholson glanced discreetly at Sophia's fleshy face and her physique, which was even more robust than Tyson's, and politely declined, saying, "We have important work to discuss with Martin."

As he spoke, he glanced at Martin.

Nicholson was a man of principle, and Martin, equally straightforward, said, "This is a very important job."

"Then let's wait for another opportunity." Sophia didn't insist, said politely, and took Scott to the hotel bar.

Martin and his two companions entered the VIP elevator lobby and took the private elevator upstairs.

Leonardo asked Martin, "Is she one of your sugar daddies?"

This is no secret, and Martin has no reason to deny it: "She invested in several of the films I starred in."

Nicholson patted Martin on the shoulder sympathetically: "It hasn't been easy."

"You've really had it tough," Leonardo said, recalling the woman's impressive physique. "Sure enough, you weren't lying when you said you were in a difficult situation in Atlanta."

Martin replied, "Do you think she fits my aesthetic?"

Leonardo said, "You can't be sure about these things, your tastes change all the time..."

…………

At the hotel bar, Michael Kane, being of advanced age, had one drink before saying goodbye and returning to his room.

Bell was in a state of turmoil. The monster that had been gradually growing inside him had just been provoked and was now restless. He didn't want to go back, so he simply continued drinking alone.

Before long, he had drunk half a bottle of whiskey.

Bell's phone rang; it was his lawyer calling.

It was still early, and the bar wasn't too chaotic. He answered the phone, and his body trembled.

Hibby returned to Los Angeles and filed for divorce!

Bell had a bad temper and his pride had been hurt by Sibby's meddling, so he didn't bother to say anything more and hung up the phone.

When he looked up, he saw a woman walking towards him with a wide, mocking smile.

"Hi, Chris." Sofia seemed surprised by Bell's condition. "What happened? You look exhausted?"

Bell realized that this person knew Martin and didn't want to talk to him.

Sofia pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down, saying, "Still not feeling well?"

Bell didn't answer, but asked, "Are you a friend of Martin Davis?"

"Friends? Haha..." Sofia was prepared and said with a smile, "I'm his former boss. He was my tool for making money. Before, when he was in Atlanta, he was one of my gigolos."

"A male dancer?" Bell looked slightly surprised.

Sofia shrugged: "Bartender and gigolo, where do you think he learned that striptease routine in 'Zombie Gigolo'?"

Bell wanted to learn more about Martin's past, after all, it wouldn't hurt to know more about one's opponent: "You two seemed to have a special relationship that day."

"Because I want to get to know you," Sofia said confidently. "So, he can only introduce me to you."

This didn't quite align with Bell's understanding. He took a new wine glass and poured Sofia a drink: "Does he respect you? Or is he afraid of you?"

Sofia grinned, her face revealing a deep, fleshy grin: "Of course he's afraid of me! Martin's a big star now, but to me, he's still that stripper."

She picked up her drink, took a big gulp, and deliberately said, "I have a lot of dirt on him, and even now, he wouldn't dare offend me."

Upon hearing about Martin's weakness, Bell suddenly became interested and perked up slightly: "I didn't expect you to have promoted such a big star."

Sofia added, "I never imagined that a man who did so many lousy things would become a big Hollywood star."

The two had a lot in common on this topic and chatted enthusiastically for a while.

Bell went around in circles trying to find out what he thought was Martin's weakness.

Sofia smiled without saying a word, but instead kept urging him to drink.

Bell realized the problem: he was much stranger to Sofia than to Martin, and to get this important information, he would have to get closer to Sofia.

How can I quickly get closer to a woman?

Just as Bell thought about this question, he felt a dull ache down there, losing all interest and feeling utterly bored.

Sofia then steered the conversation back to fitness.

Bell perked up somewhat and started chatting with Sofia, as he was very knowledgeable in this area.

After finishing a bottle of wine, the conversation turned to fitness, and Sophia invited, "I opened a fitness club on Peach Tree Street. Why don't we go over there together, practice in person, and exchange experiences?"

Bell drank a lot of alcohol quickly and felt he couldn't keep going, so he politely declined, saying, "Let's do it another day, I've had too much to drink today."

Faced with such a Hollywood star, Sofia didn't dare to act recklessly in public and said, "Then let's do it another day."

She handed Bell a business card: "It has the address of the gym on it. You can come and find me anytime."

Bell put the money away, paid the bill, and staggered out of the bar, taking the elevator upstairs.

Back in his room, before he had even finished showering, his wife, Hibi, called and told him about the divorce.

The two started arguing.

During the call, Hill used phrases like "disgusting troublemaker," which angered Bell so much that he hung up and smashed his phone again.

…………

During this set visit, Nicholson and Leonardo only stayed in Atlanta for two days.

On the day Michael Kane's character was taken offline, the two also prepared to leave and return to Los Angeles.

Leonardo DiCaprio, being well-informed, learned about the Joker statue merchandise and specifically asked Martin for some original Joker statues to enrich his collection.

He could be considered an art collector, having acquired a large collection in North America and Europe.

Martin also gave Nicholson quite a few things.

Whether Nicholson did it for fun or for enjoyment, he genuinely helped him.

Martin did not see the two men off when they left.

Before leaving, Nicholson made a point of lingering around the studio entrance a few times, attracting a large number of entertainment reporters.

"Jack, have you seen the filming of the movie and Martin's new Joker?" a reporter immediately asked. "What did you think?"

The expected outburst did not occur. Instead, Nicholson defied expectations, stating, "When God favors someone, He not only gives them outstanding looks but also extraordinary talent."

Another reporter asked, "What do you mean?"

Nicholson said, "I'm really looking forward to the Dark Knight version of the Joker. You'll see what kind of character Martin Davis has created when the show airs."

After saying that, he got into his car and left the film studio.

The news quickly reached the studio, and Nolan called the screenwriter over during a break in filming, saying, "Include the draft in the actual behind-the-scenes footage."
