Chapter 623 Saving Giselle

There was a knock on the study door from the outside. Bruce went to open it, and Elizabeth came in carrying a tray. Martin and the other two were still discussing something, and it sounded like they were planning something.

She didn't ask any further questions, put down her tea, and said, "You two chat, I'll have the kitchen prepare a late-night snack."

Martin nodded: "Liz, go to the wine cellar and get a bottle of good wine."

Martin asked, "What happened?"

Leonardo quickly returned and said, "Giselle did take Nexium's classes and found them very interesting. I warned her, but it's hard to say whether it worked."

He grabbed Martin's arm with one hand and pulled at Nicholson's sleeve with the other: "We're a trio of bastards who specialize in messing around, and we're going to take down those Nexium bastards!"

Martin reminded him, "Aren't we discussing how to deal with Nikesem and Keith Lanier?"

"They actually tried to steal our swallows!" Nicholson exclaimed.

"My Giselle!" Leonardo muttered to himself, then came up with a terrible idea: "Should we find a homeless man or a truck driver and just kill Ranier? That would be the end of it!"

Nicholson immediately rejected the idea: "Absolutely not. The risks are too great. Nicholson is involved with many political figures. If Ranier dies a violent death, some powerful political followers will investigate him relentlessly, and the consequences will be dire."

Leonardo fell silent; when it came to Gisele, he got a little carried away.

Martin then asked Nicholson, "The information you had collected indicates that many political figures have joined Nikesem?"

"That's right, there are several city council members in Los Angeles." Nicholson only gathered the publicly available information: "In Washington, a deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, and others, have close ties with Nexium."

Elizabeth nodded. "That's good. Avoiding danger will allow you to concentrate on dealing with those bastards." She then asked, "Is there anything I can do?"

Martin picked her up and carried her upstairs: "Help me stay calm, lest I get too angry and make the wrong decision."

Elizabeth hugged Martin tightly around the neck: "I'll absorb all your anger!"

The following morning, Martin, Leonardo, and Nicholson met at Davis's studio on time.

As the commander-in-chief of this hunt, Nicholson began to assign tasks.

Yesterday, after Martin explained the general idea, the great detective went back and thought about it for half the night, and then formulated a relevant action plan.

Nicholson first said to Martin, "You need to cut off all normal contact with Marina, so she sees no hope with you, understand?"

One of the Black women, Karen, said, "Mentor, after listening to your new course, I feel like all my psychological barriers have disappeared and all my inner trauma has been healed."

Lanier said with a smile, "This way, you can lead the LAPD to better serve the public in Los Angeles."

After the new round of competitive selection, McLean became the director of the LAPD, while Karen, representing the other faction, became the deputy director.

"I look forward to my mentor's assessment." Karen then took her leave.

Lanier came out of the lectern and entered the spacious and luxurious office. He looked up and saw a newly hung poster on the wall, a promotional poster for the young sculptor Lily Carter.

Thinking about the black pig from earlier, and then looking at Lily's poster, Ranier felt even more eager and fervent.

Among his female slaves, there wasn't a single one of such high-quality, beautiful girls.

Lanier pressed the intercom, summoned Allison Mac, and asked, "How's the Lily Carter matter going?"

Allison said, "We've been keeping an eye on her studio and residence, but we've never actually seen her."

Lanier called Lily himself, but no one answered, and he frowned: "Is she not in Los Angeles?"

Allison said, "They're probably not in Los Angeles, but we haven't found out exactly where they went yet."
