Chapter 665 A Special Photo of Getting Rich
Chapter 665 A Special Photo of Getting Rich
During lunch, Johnny Depp ordered a bottle of wine, which angered Jerry so much that he smashed the bottle.
Jerry, after all, is one of the top producers in the industry. His outburst temporarily subdued Depp, and at least during makeup and lunch, the superstar, who has many strange quirks, did not cause any more trouble.
Megan Ellison went out for a walk at noon hoping to run into Martin and have some fun, but she didn't find him.
She returned to the studio in the afternoon and observed the filming process.
After watching only two films, the female producer felt an urge to kill someone with a gun.
It still originates from Depp.
On set, even though he wasn't fully sober, Depp's performance was still excellent, and the character he played was an eccentric, which complemented his own personality.
But when the performance starts to involve speaking, it's all over.
Depp only managed to say "I, Tanto" before he got stuck.
Verbinski called a stop, letting Depp adjust his position slightly before filming again.
Depp's performance reached the dialogue segment again, and he got stuck once more.
Verbinski understood immediately, and his pent-up anger from the morning erupted: "Damn it, did you even memorize your lines?! I called you and told you which page we were filming today, and that I needed you to memorize your lines!"
Depp let out a burp, nonchalantly: "I remembered, but then I forgot."
Verbinskien jumped up from his director's chair: "Don't you have even the slightest bit of professional ethics as an actor?"
Depp retorted, "I am the best actor!"
Verbinski picked up a script and threw it onto the set: "You have ten minutes to memorize your lines!"
Depp didn't pick up the script at all. He went back to the lounge, sat down in a chair, and crossed his legs.
The assistant quickly brought over the script, turned to the page for today's shoot, and handed it to Depp.
Depp tried to concentrate on memorizing his lines, but his alcohol-fueled brain was completely useless; each English letter looked like dog shit to him.
When the ten minutes were up, Verbinski promptly called for all departments to prepare.
Depp came back on set, but after filming began, he stammered before he could even finish half a line.
Megan watched this scene as if she were seeing countless dollars burning.
She finally couldn't resist and wanted to take the stage herself.
Jerry Bruckheimer, who rushed over, stopped her and said, "Leave it to me."
Megan, seething with anger, said in a low voice, "Even the laziest employee at Annapurna Films is a hundred times more dedicated than him!"
Jerry said, "It's an old problem for Depp; he needs to be pampered..."
“I can coax him,” Megan said sternly, “but he needs to demonstrate his worth.”
In recent years, Captain Jack Sparrow has become incredibly popular, and it's hard to find a more charismatic film character worldwide. Jerry believes Depp has this value: "Don't forget, he's Johnny Depp, the man who can drive movie fans all over the world crazy!"
The stronger the business atmosphere, the more people believe that successful people will continue to succeed, and Jack Bruckheimer is no exception.
Megan nodded: "Okay, I'll leave it to you."
Jerry entered the set and went to mediate between the arguing Verbinski and Johnny Depp. He first persuaded Verbinski to return to the director's seat, and then patiently talked to Depp.
Jerry managed to coax and pressure Depp into calming down a bit.
However, Depp's memory had deteriorated significantly due to long-term exposure to alcohol and drugs, and he was almost always hungover when he woke up, making it extremely difficult for him to memorize long lines of dialogue.
Jerry quickly came up with a solution: slightly alter the character's appearance, letting Depp's hair hang down to cover his ears, and then having Depp wear an in-line wireless headset, with someone else acting as his human teleprompter.
In the following days, Megan continued to visit the Disney studio to observe filming.
Not only "The Lone Ranger", but also another production team, "The Seventh Son".
Jerry Bruckheimer may have warned Depp, because Depp stopped showing up on set so late.
However, being late is the norm; a Depp who is never late is not a good captain.
As for Depp reeking of alcohol, even God couldn't fix it.
Megan held back, after all, Depp is one of the most commercially influential people in Hollywood.
But she also took some action to protect her investment.
That evening, the "Lone Ranger" crew was filming overtime, and Megan arranged to meet Depp's girlfriend, Amber Heard.
In a coffee shop outside the film set.
Megan glanced at the flamboyantly dressed, beautiful woman opposite her and said, "Is Depp really infatuated with you?"
Amber laughed: "It's alright, he proposed to me, but I turned him down."
Megan saw through these little tricks and said, "Very good. There's one thing I need you to do: keep an eye on Depp during the filming of 'The Lone Ranger,' make sure he drinks less, does less drugs, and doesn't get late..."
When it came to the last point, she knew it was unrealistic: "Try not to be late, and make sure the filming goes smoothly, understand?"
Amber nodded: "I understand. I will try my best to keep him in check, but he's used to being lazy. I can only say I'll do my best; it's impossible to completely eliminate it."
Megan's expression was serious: "Do your best."
Amber looked at Megan.
Megan pulled out a check and pushed it to Amber: "If you do a good job, I'll give you a reward."
"Okay." Amber glanced at the number on the check and happily put it away.
Depp is currently at the peak of his infatuation with her; as long as the money is right, she can make Depp behave like a little puppy.
Megan was the first to leave the coffee shop.
Amber packed her things, then left the coffee shop and went into the Disney Studios, venturing deep into the soundstage area. Perhaps she hadn't eaten well at dinner, as she had just drunk a cup of cold coffee, and her stomach was rumbling loudly.
A strong urge to defecate rushed to my head.
There was a public restroom at the studio, not far ahead, but Amber didn't quicken her pace; instead, she looked around.
It was well past closing time, and apart from a few sound stages, the rest of the studio was pitch black and there was hardly anyone in sight.
The people that eccentrics hire are often not mentally sound either.
Instead of rushing to the public restroom, Amber stopped.
She felt an unusually strong urge: not to go to the toilet, not to go to the toilet, but to relieve herself right there!
Following her impulse, Amber avoided the darkness without streetlights and walked towards the wall where the light could reach.
This novel sensation made her tremble with excitement.
…………
After finishing filming for "The Martian," Martin came out after removing his makeup and met up with Nicholson and Leonardo, who were waiting for him, to go out for a late-night snack.
Nicholson brought his daughter, Lorraine.
With a camera hanging around her neck, she complained, "I wanted to take some inside photos to earn some pocket money, but director Ridley Scott wouldn't allow it."
Martin casually remarked, "When we need to do some publicity, I'll let you know and let you come over and take as many photos as you like."
Leonardo DiCaprio asked Lorraine, "Are you quitting acting? Planning to become a paparazzi?"
"Acting is my profession, being a paparazzi is my hobby." After following the three people out of the studio, Lorraine added, "I have income from a trust fund, so I don't expect to make a living as an actress. My hobby actually gives me some extra pocket money."
Nicholson had a whole bunch of terrible ideas: "Next time you go to Leo's house and take some photos, you can sell one for tens of thousands of dollars."
"Don't listen to your dad." Martin wasn't exactly a normal person either: "It will affect your image in Leo's eyes, how will you marry him in the future?"
Leonardo gripped Martin's arm tightly and demanded, "So you can inherit my fortune after I die?"
Martin shook his head: "How could you think like that? How could you think so badly of your brother? Look at you, at this rate of weight gain, you'll soon be suffering from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar. I'm doing this for your own good, to find someone in advance so they can take care of you when the time comes."
Leonardo gave him the middle finger: "Thanks for your kind offer!"
Bruce drove up in his electric scooter, and the four of them got on.
The electric scooter drove towards the entrance of the film studio.
There was no one around, and no film crews shooting outdoors. Lorraine opened her camera, adjusted the telephoto lens, and kept pressing the shutter to capture the night view of the Disney studio.
Suddenly, Nicholson pointed to the left and said, "What are those white things near the streetlights over there?"
Martin and Leonardo both looked in that direction.
Leonardo's eyesight isn't very good; he could only vaguely see a white blur.
Martin could see clearly that a blonde woman was squatting by the wall, her pants pulled down to her knees, doing something.
Lorraine reacted incredibly quickly, immediately turning the camera lens in that direction and, using the streetlight's illumination, pressing the shutter button repeatedly.
She noticed what the woman was doing and was so surprised that her mouth dropped open, because there was a public restroom nearby.
A scooter sped towards them. Amber was still not finished, so she didn't get up, but simply raised her hand to cover her face.
Once the electric scooter had passed, she gave the middle finger and then continued her unfinished mission.
On the electric scooter, Nicholson asked, "Am I getting old and my eyesight is failing? Is that woman taking a dump?"
Leonardo was certain: "That's right!"
Lorraine exclaimed, "I took a picture!" She jumped to the previous photo: "Look!"
The three of them came over and took a look.
Lorraine has honed her photography skills over the years, and with her good camera and lens equipment, she can take clear photos even at night.
Most importantly, she captured the photo at an exceptionally good time, snapping a clear picture of the woman's face the instant she raised her hand. Below the picture, there was clearly a lump.
"This is Leo's food!" Nicholson said, pointing to the photo.
Leonardo DiCaprio was furious: "You old bastard, don't slander me!"
Nicholson said, "Blonde hair, long legs, and very pretty—isn't that your type?"
Leonardo scratched his head, realizing he had misunderstood Nicholson, but unable to explain, he simply kept quiet.
Martin looked at her again and said, "This woman looks familiar; I think I've seen her before."
Lorraine nodded in agreement: "I've seen it before, but I can't remember it right now."
Martin exclaimed, "That's Amber Heard!"
"Depp's girlfriend?" Nicholson realized. "It's said that Depp proposed to her, but was rejected."
"I've struck it rich! I've struck it rich!" Lorraine exclaimed excitedly, her face beaming with greed. "Nobody can buy this photo from me without tens of thousands of dollars!"
