Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 108 Lifesaving Grace

Chapter 108 A Lifesaving Grace (First Update)

"Forget it, let's finish up this first before we eat!"

Using a levitation spell, Jerry gently lowered the tray into the box space, then summoned Quirrell's advanced antidote with a summoning spell, and placed it with a "clatter" in front of Tony and Nick.

"Alright, can you take the potion first? Don't you know that staying up late is bad for a child's health?"

"What kind of magic potion?"

Tony looked on in surprise.

"This is the antidote that might cure your palladium poisoning, kindly provided by this young witch!"

Nick explained.

"Mainly, I felt that Mr. Stark was a very good person, and it's such a pity he died like this!"

Jerry nodded at the opportune moment.

"Um, thank you... Miss Wizard, but your potion probably won't work on me. I've tried every combination of elements, and there's no element on Earth that can replace palladium to cure my poison!"

Tony is a confident man, though he is also somewhat arrogant.

He felt that he couldn't solve the palladium poisoning problem with his own abilities, so how could a child possibly save him?

Although she does have some seemingly impressive superpowers.

However, before Jerry could speak, Nick glared at him and said with a hint of sarcasm:

"I can tell you, you haven't tried everything!"

"Since you're going to die anyway, how will you know if you don't try?"

Moreover, this antidote potion was made using many precious herbs and took a long time to refine, so I'm quite confident in its effectiveness!

Jerry pushed the high-level antidote potion on the table toward Tony again.

Tony picked up the potion, looked at the mysterious amber-colored liquid inside, and recalled the magic that could change matter. He hesitated for a moment, but finally uncorked it and swallowed the potion in one gulp.

As soon as the potion entered his mouth, a burst of heat rose instantly from his abdomen and then spread throughout his internal organs, limbs, and bones.

The palladium green traces that had been gradually eroding his body disappeared completely in that instant.

"Oh!"

Suddenly, Tony felt a sharp pain in his neck. It turned out that Black Widow had used a blood-drawing machine to test for palladium poisoning and pricked him in the neck.

"Palladium content is 0, detoxification is complete!"

"It's cured already?"

Tony took the testing device from Black Widow's hand with some disbelief, physically removed the armor from his hand, and slapped his index finger again.

Seeing the same test result as before, Tony couldn't help but show a complicated expression.

He originally thought he was going to die, like a cancer patient, so he donated all his collection.

He started to give up on himself and deliberately flirted with his new secretary (Black Widow) to anger Pepper Potts, hoping she would give up on her love to avoid future heartbreak.

In the end, he even gave away one of his Iron Man suits, which he had never compromised on, to his friend Rhodes.

Looking back now, it was too hasty!

However, who wants to die when they can live? Overall, he was still very happy.

The treatment he had struggled so hard to find was easily solved by a child, which made him feel slightly frustrated.

But he was filled with gratitude for Jerry who saved his life.

You see, he has already given the entire Stark Corporation to Pepper Potts. If he really dies, and Pepper marries someone else, his lover and the huge Stark Corporation will both belong to that man.

"Wizard, um, Miss Wizard, thank you so much for saving me. If you ever need my help in the future, please feel free to contact me anytime. However, I have some urgent business to attend to and need to leave temporarily!"

Now that I don't have to die, I certainly can't give that little chili pepper to someone else.

So Tony felt he should fly back to Pepper immediately, explain things, and win back her love.

"Wait, you can't leave yet. Although your poison has been neutralized, if you don't find something to replace palladium, you'll continue to be poisoned as long as you use the Iron Man suit. I doubt the witch lady has many of those potions!"

Iron Man was about to get up when Nick Fury pushed him back down.

Jerry also raised his hand at the opportune moment:

"Indeed, the materials for refining that high-grade antidote are hard to find. I only have one bottle right now, and it will take a very long time to refine!"

He still had a few bottles of high-grade antidote potions in his storage space, but he couldn't just give them all to Tony; he wasn't a money-giving boy.

Besides, giving a bottle of magic potion is a life-saving favor; giving a second or third bottle is just icing on the cake, and its value is much less than the first bottle.

How could he possibly do such a losing business?

Furthermore, since Iron Man was unharmed in Avengers 1, it means he must have found a solution in the end.

In other words, even without his potion, Tony wouldn't have actually been poisoned to death; he's just taking advantage of the situation.

If he really kept providing the potion, causing Tony to stop researching the fundamental solution, then Iron Man would have disappeared.

Without Iron Man, when Thanos's army arrives, wouldn't we be missing another key general?

Tony was taken aback by what he heard. After calming down and thinking for a moment, he finally sat down again.

If he activates the Iron Man suit now, the small arc reactor in his chest will inevitably inject palladium into his body again, and he will enter the countdown to death once more.

The feeling of a life countdown is awful; you only get to experience it once.

"Your father, Mr. Howard, left you some things before he died, which I think should help you find new elements to replace the old ones."

So I think you'd better be honest and go back to your mansion to take a closer look!

As Nick finished speaking, the dozen or so agents who had been there quickly surrounded Tony.

"All right!"

Tony can't use his Iron Man suit now, so he's no match for these dozen or so elite agents. And what Nick Fury said does make sense.

If he still wants to be Iron Man and roam around in his Iron Man suit, then he must find other elements that can replace palladium.

It seems we'll have to wait a while before trying to explain things to Little Chili.

"Okay, can we go back now?"

Jerry stood up and urged him on.

There was nothing he could do; if his Nimbus 2000 hadn't been slower than a supersonic aircraft, he would have flown back on his own.

The Nimbus 2000's top speed is close to 200 kilometers per hour. It would take more than ten hours to fly from Los Angeles back to New York. If Haas and Elsa find out he's missing by then, it will be a little troublesome.

It seems I should find a way to learn Apparition as soon as possible, or learn how to make Portkeys and build the Floo Network.

Otherwise, even if he later bought the fastest fire bolts, the flying broom would still be slower than airplanes and Tony's Iron Man suit.

If he remembered correctly, the speed of the fire bolt was only about 250 kilometers per hour.
