Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 153 Dragon Knights and Dragon Taming Magic
Chapter 153 Dragon Knights and Dragon Taming Magic (First Update)
At midnight, when everyone was asleep, including the murals hanging on the walls, Jerry cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself, evaded the patrolling Filch and Mrs. Norris, and quietly left Hogwarts Castle.
Carefully stealthing through the darkness, Jerry crossed the edge of the Black Lake and passed through the Quidditch pitch, soon arriving at Hagrid's cabin, which was filled with giant pumpkins.
He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious!
After knocking down the hound Toothtooth who was crouching at the door with a wave of his wand, he tiptoed carefully to the large window of the cabin.
Looking through the window into the room, Hagrid's tall body was lying sprawled out on the large bed in the corner, fast asleep.
The deafening snoring made the hams and pheasants hanging from the ceiling of the cabin tremble.
"Hagrid, I'm so sorry!"
After observing for a moment and confirming that Hagrid was indeed fast asleep, Jerry pointed his wand at the dragon egg in the fireplace of the cabin. The dragon egg was immediately enveloped by an invisible force and flew out of the flaming fireplace, heading towards the large window.
He opened the box, threw the dragon egg into its space, took out a pre-written note from inside his wizard robe, and used his mind to control magic to send it to the large table in the center of the cabin before slowly moving away from the cabin.
The note that was left behind was written by Jerry, who was pretending to be Quirrell, a stranger.
To find out how to get the Cerberus, Quirrell disguised himself as a strange wizard and gained Hagrid's trust by losing a card game to Hagrid's dragon egg.
The note mainly says that he regrets losing the dragon egg to Hagrid in a card game, so he secretly took the dragon egg back at night.
The purpose was to prevent Hagrid from making a big fuss over losing the dragon egg.
In fact, according to the movie, Hagrid hatched the dragon egg, but he didn't keep it for long before Dumbledore discovered it and sent it away, because according to the Ministry of Magic's rules, no one is allowed to keep a dragon.
If Hagrid's dragon-keeping is discovered, he might end up being sent to Azkaban for a while.
Of course, it's also false to say that Jerry stole Hagrid's dragon egg for Hagrid's own good; he just wanted to have a capable ally during the final battle of the Avengers.
However, doing so still made Jerry feel somewhat guilty towards Hagrid, since he felt that Hagrid was actually a pretty good person during the time they spent together.
Despite feeling guilty, he still had to steal the dragon egg. Right now, his main priority was to improve his own strength. As long as he didn't cross any lines, he was willing to accept it.
All we can say is that we'll find a way to compensate Hagrid when we have the resources in the future.
To be honest, over the past few days, Jerry has sometimes found himself behaving more and more like a Slytherin.
Perhaps one reason the Sorting Hat sorted him into Slytherin was because it genuinely recognized certain qualities deep within him that resonated with Slytherin.
Back in the common room, Jerry leaped into the box space.
Inside the villa within the box space, Sun Long was carefully placing the dark, charred dragon egg into the roaring fireplace. Seeing Jerry appear, he asked with some confusion:
"What kind of egg is this, that it's going to hatch in flames?"
Before stealing the dragon egg, Jerry entered the box space and told Sun Long that he would send in a large egg in a while, and that after receiving the egg, he should put it directly into the fireplace in the villa and slowly incubate it with the flames.
"Oh, that's a dragon egg, so it needs to hatch in flames. But you don't need to be so careful; it'll probably take another week or two to hatch. It won't be that fast!"
"A dragon egg! Weren't dragons extinct a long time ago?"
Sun Long was taken aback upon hearing this.
In the world of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," creatures like Western fire dragons and Eastern giant dragons went extinct a very, very long time ago, which is why Jerry was so surprised when he said it was a dragon egg.
Since Sun Long was locked in the box space, Jerry has not let him out, so he is unaware that he is no longer in the world of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice".
"The world is full of wonders. This is indeed a dragon egg, and a dragon egg that can hatch into a dragon!"
Jerry didn't offer much explanation, he just shrugged.
There's no need to explain some things too clearly to Sun Long. Once he's completely sifted through Sun Long's magical knowledge, he'll send Sun Long back to "The World of Magician Apprentices".
"If this really is a fire dragon egg that can hatch into a fire dragon, maybe you could even become a dragon knight!"
Sun Long wisely refrained from pressing further, but after confirming that it was a hatchable dragon egg, he made a joke.
"What dragon knight?"
Jerry's heart stirred upon hearing this.
Sun Long asked in surprise:
"You didn't know? Before dragons became extinct in the Middle Ages, some court wizards would use dragon-taming magic to control them, allowing strong knights to ride them in war. These dragon riders were called dragon knights!"
Jerry only stayed in the world of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" for a week, so he had no idea about the detailed history of that world.
Moreover, both the Merlin School's and Morgana School's magic manuals focus on the inheritance of magic. Although they contain some historical developments of magic, they cannot possibly record the entire history of the world.
So Jerry really didn't know anything about dragon riders and dragon taming magic.
"Do you know dragon taming magic?"
"Dragons are extinct, so who would still learn dragon taming magic? Even the magician's handbook has removed this spell."
Sun Long shrugged, but then quickly seemed to remember something and continued:
"However, perhaps you could ask Balthazar; he's lived for over two thousand years and might have learned dragon-taming magic!"
"Barsadze?"
Jerry pondered for a moment, then nodded.
Since there's magic to control fire dragons, he absolutely must learn it. Riding a fire dragon to fight enemies will be far more powerful than riding a flying broomstick.
"Mr. Sun, just keep an eye on the fireplace so the fire doesn't go out. I'm going to cultivate!"
After taking one last look at the dragon egg in the flames, Jerry said goodbye to Sun Long and left the villa to practice meditation in the Merlin magic circle in the yard.
However, when he arrived in the courtyard, another question came to mind.
So the dragon egg really hatched and grew up? With the current size of his box, is it really possible to raise a dragon to adulthood?
The answer is definitely no.
Therefore, he needs to set aside some more time for research on the Seamless Stretch Spell. As long as he masters the Seamless Stretch Spell, the space in this box can gradually be expanded.
Furthermore, he also needs to take some time to stock up on food for the fire dragon as it grows, otherwise it would be ridiculous if the fire dragon starved to death after hatching.
