Chapter 170 Thor Gets Electrocuted
Chapter 170 Thor Gets Electrocuted (First Update)
"Alright, could you please move those devices back now?"
Collison gave orders to the agents behind him.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents exchanged glances and reluctantly prepared to resume their work as porters.
At this moment, Jerry took out his magic wand:
"Forget it, I'll do it. It's getting late, and you still need to go to the police station to retrieve relevant information!"
Jerry took out his wand and pointed it into the bread cart. A mechanical device, as tall as a person, slowly rose under his magical control and then floated into the house.
"Thank you for your help. We'll go to the police station first, and then come back to pick you up once we find some clues!"
Coulson checked the time; it was almost three o'clock. Without further delay, he led the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and drove towards the town's police station.
Actually, the town is not big, and the police station is not far from here.
"I know you! You're that magical witch from the news! I thought it was just magic, but I never imagined you actually could do it!"
At that moment, the long-haired girl named Daisy Louise, watching Jerry use magic to safely transport all their equipment into the house, seemed to suddenly realize something and couldn't help but let out a gasp.
The photo of Jerry that is now circulating in the public eye is a half-face photo that was deliberately taken by reporter Lucy in Hell's Kitchen.
So at first, none of Daisy and the other two recognized her until she started casting her magic and, combined with the striking wizard robes she was wearing, they realized who she was.
Professor Eric, who was standing next to her, quickly tugged at Daisy's sleeve, then politely stepped forward to thank Jerry:
"Thank you so much! If you hadn't spoken up for us, all our equipment and research notes would probably be gone. You saved our research results!"
"You are welcome!"
Jerry put away his wand and nodded slightly.
"Um, if Miss Wizard doesn't mind, you can come in and have a seat. I'll make you a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. They probably won't be back for a while!"
At this moment, Jane, having recovered from the magical illusion, pointed to the house behind them and extended an invitation to Jerry.
"Coffee, please!"
Jerry didn't refuse and naturally followed the three into the house.
He still needed to get information about Thor from the three of them, so he wasn't in a hurry to leave.
He deliberately let Coulson and the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents leave first, because he wanted to find and make contact with Thor before Coulson and the others could.
Ultimately, Jerry isn't a member of S.H.I.E.L.D., and might even be an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future, so there are some things he should keep to himself and doesn't need to tell S.H.I.E.L.D.
Now he feels that while improving his strength, he can also build good relationships with the Avengers superheroes, ideally making most of them think that he, Jerry, is more trustworthy than S.H.I.E.L.D.
That way, if he were to turn against S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future, at least these superheroes wouldn't help S.H.I.E.L.D. fight him.
You have to understand that every superhero is a protagonist in their own right. If all these protagonists team up to take down one of them, unless he is abnormally powerful, they might inexplicably fail.
Didn't you see how strong the Purple Potato Spirit was, with a powerful army renowned throughout the universe under his command, yet he was still defeated by these superheroes?
"Oh, I'm sorry, we ran out of coffee this morning. I'll go buy some right away!"
Jane only remembered when she was pouring coffee that the coffee at home seemed to have been drunk up by that paranoid patient named Saul this morning.
"No need for that, just a glass of water will do!"
Jerry raised his hand to stop Jianjian from going to buy coffee.
"Flavoid!"
He pointed his wand at the glass of water Jane handed him, and it instantly turned into a cup of milk tea. Then he spun the cup around, and tiny ice crystals appeared inside the milk tea.
The two simplest spells in the Magician's Handbook are Fire Spell and Ice Spell, both of which are simple spells created by manipulating molecular motion with magical power.
"Don't be so surprised. Magic is actually quite similar to science; it's just that you don't understand it, just like I don't understand your weather-observation equipment!"
Jerry looked at the trio who were staring at him with their mouths agape, and explained with a smile.
"That's amazing, Miss Wizard! Could you please sign your name for me?"
At that moment, Daisy, the youngest of the trio, looked at Jerry with stars in her eyes.
With the wizard's autograph, she can show it off to her classmates when she returns to school.
"That's not a problem at all!"
Seeing that he had already stunned the three of them with magic, Jerry smiled and nodded.
He wasn't showing off intentionally; it's just that he's currently in Hermione's form, a twelve or thirteen-year-old little girl, and it's hard to be convincing in terms of appearance. Only by using magic to intimidate the other party can he better proceed with the next questioning.
"I'd like to ask, since you've been living here, have you ever met a person named Thor?"
As Daisy turned to get her pen and notebook, Jerry casually asked Jane and Professor Eric a question.
"Saul? You mean that paranoid patient!"
Professor Eric looked surprised when he heard Jerry's question.
"Could someone with delusions describe it to me in more detail?"
Upon hearing that there was hope, Jerry immediately pressed for details.
Professor Eric looked at Jane beside him, who hesitated for a moment before explaining the whole story.
"Here's what happened. Last night, we were in our car, fifty miles from the town, using instruments to observe and record the patterns of celestial bodies and weather when suddenly an unusual celestial phenomenon appeared in the sky. That guy named Thor was also nearby."
Then Daisy stunned him with a stun gun, and we…
"Jane, you ran him over with your car first!"
Just then, Daisy returned with a pen and notebook and quickly corrected her.
Jane rolled her eyes helplessly:
"Yes, I hit him with my car first, but I didn't see it happen; it was an unintended accident. After he got up, you were the one who knocked him unconscious with an electric shock!"
"He scared me first. Look at how drunk he was, constantly shouting 'Fara, fara, my hammer, my hammer!' Who wouldn't be scared?"
But to be honest, he has a really good physique!
Daisy placed the pen and notebook in front of Jerry, and couldn't help but show a wistful expression as she recalled the sight of Thor shirtless at their house that morning.
Well, the thunder god in mythology, who controls lightning, was actually stunned by a stun gun? That's really something.
"And then?"
Jerry quickly signed Daisy's autograph and then continued to ask questions.
"We took him to the hospital, but this morning he escaped, assaulted a doctor, and then I accidentally knocked him unconscious!"
Perhaps feeling somewhat apologetic for bumping into people twice, Jane paused for a moment before continuing:
"We took him home, gave him some clothes, and took him out for a meal. He claimed to be Thor from Asgard, saying he was going to find his hammer to return to Asgard, and then he parted ways with us!"
