Chapter 177 Captain America Appears

Chapter 177 Captain America Makes His Debut (Second Update)

"Coulson, you're in charge of things here at the base. Observe the situation for now, and make sure to protect Thor. I'm going back to find some help!"

After Jerry left, Fury and Coulson discussed it for a long time and finally made a decision.

Both agreed that, based on Loki's current behavior, he would most likely take action to eliminate Thor, a potential threat, in order to solidify his throne.

After all, Thor is the rightful heir. If he doesn't die, Loki's throne will be hard to secure. The key point is that Thor is just a mortal now.

However, this is absolutely not in the best interests of Earth.

It seems that only by helping Thor, who has come to Earth, regain his divine power and return to Asgard to reclaim his throne can peace between Earth and Asgard be maintained.

So the first priority now is to protect Thor's safety, and then see if we can use scientific methods to help him find a way to lift Thor's hammer as soon as possible.

However, Loki is powerful and is still the king of Asgard. Jerry and his group alone might not be able to handle the attacks Loki might launch next.

Therefore, some strong helpers are needed.

When Coulson heard Nick Fury mention finding help, his eyes lit up immediately:

"Yes, Captain?"

Coulson knew that if S.H.I.E.L.D. had any powerful allies right now, it would probably be Captain America, whom they had brought back from the Arctic some time ago.

However, when he met Captain America that time, Captain America was still frozen in ice.

"Yes, and Iron Man too!"

Nick Fury nodded.

After confirming it, Coulson's face immediately showed an expression of barely concealed excitement:

"That's wonderful!"

Don't let Coulson's age fool you; he's a huge Captain America fan and still keeps a Captain America card collection, a collector's edition no less.

Even the most mature person has a few quirks!

"Would you like a drink?"

Outside the base, Thor was leaning on the iron railing, enjoying the cool breeze, repenting for his past actions in Asgard and Jotunheim, and for causing his father's death because of his impulsiveness and ambition.

Suddenly, a large glass of beer was handed to him.

"Thanks!"

Saul took the beer and downed it all in one gulp without hesitation.

"Clear spring water! Flavius!"

Jerry waved his wand at the empty glass, which was first filled with water, and then completely turned into beer.

"It's hard to believe that you're so skilled in magic at your age. Even in the realm of gods, very few people can wield magic this well!"

Saul gave a thumbs-up and downed his beer in one gulp.

Jerry continued to use magic to replenish his fluids:

"These are just minor tricks; they can't compare to the magic of your divine realm. Actually, I'm quite interested in the magic of your divine realm, but unfortunately, it's too far away, and I haven't had the chance to see it for myself!"

"Distance isn't a problem, there's the Rainbow Bridge, I... sigh."

Thor was about to say he could use the Rainbow Bridge to take Jerry to Asgard, but then he remembered that he had been banished to Midgard forever, and could only sigh in the end.

"If I ever have the chance to return to the Divine Realm, I will definitely bring back some magic books from there to give to you, as a token of my gratitude for these beers!"

"That's a deal!"

Jerry did not tell Thor that Loki might be lying to him, or that his father was not dead, among other things.

At this point, in Thor's eyes, Loki was still his most trusted younger brother, and Thor was also stubborn. Even if he spoke up, without evidence, Thor probably wouldn't believe him.

"Mr. Saul, please stay still!"

Jerry raised his wand and pointed it at Thor.

Thor was completely bewildered, but he still stood there as instructed. He trusted Jerry and knew that Jerry wasn't going to use magic to attack him.

"Stop the curse immediately!"

He chanted the incantation, and a beam of magical light shot out from the wand and entered Thor's body.

Suddenly, Thor's eyes snapped open, a flash of lightning passing through them. Ancient armor began to appear on his body, and Mjolnir in the center of the base began to tremble violently.

However, before Thor's armor could be fully revealed, a powerful force suddenly erupted from his body, and his armor quickly disappeared again. Thor's hammer in the center of the base also returned to calm.

"Looks like it still won't work!"

Jerry narrowed his eyes, knowing that his attempt to break the spell had ultimately failed.

He originally thought that his magic did not belong to this world, and that he might be able to take a chance to break the seal left by Odin, but now it seems that the gap in power levels is too great.

However, it wasn't completely useless; at least it did have some effect just now.

Perhaps, when he upgrades the Curse Stop to the End of All Curses, he might actually be able to break the curse.

"Thank you. Although I haven't fully recovered my divine body, I feel like my physical strength has returned somewhat!"

Saul grinned, and with his hand not holding the cup, he pinched the iron railing beside him, leaving five clear finger marks on the hard metal.

"Sol?"

Not far behind Thor, Jane, who had just witnessed his transformation, walked over with a look of surprise.

Seeing this, Jerry silently turned and left; he didn't want to be a third wheel.

Meanwhile, in Asgard, the realm of the gods, where Odin slumbers.

Odin, who was sleeping in the golden coffin, twitched his lips slightly, then let out a soft sigh of relief.

Late at night, at an underground S.H.I.E.L.D. base in New York.

A blond man with a near-perfect physique is punching a sandbag in a fit of rage.

The room's decor was very strange; it was entirely decorated in the style of the 40s, with many old items that would leave no impression on modern young people.

"what!"

With a roar, the blond man sent the sandbag flying five meters away with his powerful force before it exploded.

He took a slight breath, then picked up a sandbag from the ground next to him, hung it on the rack, and continued to punch it as if venting his anger.

"Squeak!"

At that moment, the wooden door to the room opened, and a one-eyed black man wearing an eye patch slowly walked in.

"Still not asleep so late?"

The blond man glanced at the one-eyed black man, and continued punching as he replied:

"Sir, I've slept for 70 years, I've had enough!"

"Why not go out and explore, see the new era of New York, and experience modern life?"

The one-eyed Black man offered his advice with a smile.

The blond man stopped hitting the sandbag, a hint of confusion in his eyes:

"The New York outside is no longer the one I know, and there are no familiar faces. The war is over."

The one-eyed Black man sighed and handed over the documents in his hand:

"Actually, you've only been awake for a week, and I shouldn't be bothering you, but we really need your help right now. This is a crisis concerning the entire planet!"

According to the original plan, he intended to let the other party adapt for at least six months before giving them the task, but plans can't keep up with changes, so now he has to bring it forward.
