Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 211 Idol Collapse

Chapter 211 Idol's Downfall (Fifth Update)

The next day, at nine o'clock in the morning.

Jerry finished his meditation practice and returned to his room from the box.

"Sure enough, no matter where you are, reporters are the fastest at handling these kinds of incidents, even faster than the police!"

Hearing the commotion outside, Jerry knew that last night's actions had achieved their intended effect.

Sure enough, as soon as he pushed open the door, he saw that several Daily Prophet reporters had blocked the door to Lockhart's room, which was a few rooms away from his.

"Mr. Lockhart, please open the door and explain whether your claim of using the Oblivion Charm to steal other people's experiences to write a book is fabricated or true. Also, did you write the book 'The Real Lockhart' yourself?"

"I told you, I don't understand what you're saying. Everything in my book is based on my personal experiences. There's no such thing as 'The Real Lockhart.' I only have one autobiography, 'Me, the Magician'!"

The door was not open, but Lockhart's furious voice could be heard from inside.

Just then, two young wizards dressed in suits arrived at Lockhart's door:

"Mr. Lockhart, we are Aurors from the Ministry of Magic's Operations Team. We would like to request that you come with us to the Ministry of Magic for questioning!"

"See, I told you you couldn't make it to today's book signing!"

Seeing this, Jerry smiled, walked past the Aurors and reporters blocking Lockhart's door, and headed down to the first floor of the Leaky Cauldron.

He planned to try the breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron.

Having been at the Leaky Cauldron for so long, he had never tasted any of its food.

"No wonder business has been so bad!"

After taking a bite of steak, Jerry couldn't help but frown.

Although he likes well-done steak, that doesn't mean the steak can be cooked until it's tough and chewy. Well-done doesn't necessarily mean overcooked; there's a difference.

Diagon Alley is London’s only magical street and the largest gathering place for British wizards.

The Leaky Cauldron is the only bar in Diagon Alley and the only place where you can have a proper meal.

The fact that a place like this only does so-so business every day shows that the owner, Tom, is indeed not very good at managing things; I guess the only thing that's good is the drinks.

However, adhering to the principle of not wasting food, Jerry still finished the entire steak.

Although the steak was tough and hard to chew, his teeth were not comparable to those of most people; after all, he could eat the rock crust bread that Hagrid made.

"Jerry, Jerry!"

Jerry had just finished breakfast and got up from his seat when he heard a familiar voice coming from the bar entrance.

Turning his head, he saw Hermione, the one he had promised to come today to buy second-grade textbooks.

Hermione waved her little hand at Jerry and excitedly ran over to hug him.

"Long time no see, Jerry!"

"Long time no see, Hermione! Oh, you look taller!"

Jerry patted Hermione on the back, released her, and said with some surprise.

In the two and a half months of summer vacation, Hermione seemed to have grown a full half head taller. Sure enough, girls develop earlier than boys.

赫敏是1979年9月19出生,哈利是1980年7月31日,按年龄的话,其实赫敏比哈利大了接近一岁。

If Hermione had been born twenty-odd days earlier, she would have received her acceptance letter the year before, not last year.

So, shortly after the start of the school year, when Harry and the others were still twelve, Hermione should have been thirteen, which is the age when girls develop and grow the fastest.

"When it comes to height, you've changed much more than me!"

Hermione compared herself to Jerry and realized that she wasn't even as close to his eyes as he was.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

Just then, Hermione heard a cough behind her; it was her father, Mr. Granger.

Upon seeing this, Jerry quickly and gracefully bowed to the Grangers.

"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Granger!"

"Good morning, Jerry. Between boys and girls, it still has to be... ouch!"

Mr. Granger was only halfway through his sentence when Mrs. Granger pinched him on the lower back:

"Jerry, don't listen to your uncle's nonsense. Hermione said you take good care of him at school and are the best student there. You should get along well with Hermione in the future!"

Seeing Mrs. Granger's kind smile, Jerry paused for a moment, but still nodded subconsciously.

"Of course, Hermione and I are very good friends!"

In the world of Harry Potter, Hermione is undoubtedly the person with whom you have the best relationship.

From their first meeting at Diagon Alley on the first day of school, to later on the train and in the Hogwarts library, Jerry interacted most with Hermione.

Although at this point, given his magical knowledge and foundation, Hermione's help to him is already minimal.

However, he certainly wouldn't stand idly by if Hermione were in any danger.

"We should go to Gringotts to exchange our Galleons!"

Hermione blushed slightly and pulled Jerry toward the magic wall in the backyard of the Leaky Cauldron.

"Are Harry and the others coming to Diagon Alley today?"

As Hermione used her wand to open the passageway leading to Diagon Alley, Jerry asked Hermione a question.

"Come here, Ron's reply to me said they'll be coming to Diagon Alley today to buy Floo Powder. However, I suggest he get a different owl; I feel like his old owl is going to die if it has to deliver another message!"

Hermione also took the opportunity to make a jabble about Ron's owl, Errol, while answering.

As soon as Hermione stepped onto the streets of Diagon Alley, she immediately sensed that something was wrong.

Unlike usual, when everyone was buying what they needed in front of various shops, many wizards gathered in twos and threes, flipping through a book that looked very simple while discussing among themselves.

"What happened to them?"

Hermione looked puzzled.

"Who knows? But I think it might be related to that wizard named Gilderoy Lockhart!"

Jerry shrugged.

"Giddro Lockhart! That famous writer, what happened to him?"

Hermione's eyes lit up immediately. For someone who loved reading so much, Lockhart, such a great writer, was her idol.

"He's in some kind of trouble!"

So Jerry recounted the questions he heard from the reporters after he left home that morning, and the scene where he saw the Aurors appear and take Lockhart away.

Hermione's first reaction after hearing this was disbelief. It wasn't that she didn't believe what Jerry said; she just didn't believe Lockhart was the kind of person the reporter described.

She couldn't believe that the idol she worshipped was a fraud, a despicable person who only knew how to use the Oblivion Spell to steal other people's experiences.

"Hermione, don't overthink it. Let's wait for news from the Ministry of Magic. It's impossible to say anything until we have a clear answer!"

Jerry noticed that Hermione seemed to have suddenly become quite downcast, so he offered some words of comfort.

It's normal for idols to fall from grace. At first, it's hard to accept, but once you truly understand, you'll accept it. It's not a big deal.
