Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 221 Legilimency
Chapter 221 Soul Extraction and Mind Manipulation (Fifth Update)
The Sorting Ceremony followed the same procedure as last year, the only difference being that the young wizards for the Sorting Ceremony were a different batch.
Ron's sister was naturally assigned to Gryffindor and sat next to her idol Harry, while Slytherin welcomed a new batch of young wizards.
At the opening banquet, Dumbledore gave Lupin a grand introduction, but because of Lupin's attire, he did not receive much applause.
When our Slytherin Headmaster Snape saw Lupin, his eyes practically blazed with fury. Clearly, he hadn't expected Dumbledore to invite Lupin to the school as the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.
Jerry could only apologize; he hadn't expected that after getting rid of Lockhart, that good-for-nothing, he would be greeted by Lupin.
However, Lupin at least has real talent and skills, which is much better than Lockhart.
As for Lupin possibly transforming into a werewolf on the night of the full moon, ha, with Lupin turning into that skinny werewolf, Jerry thinks that with his current superhuman physical abilities, he could take him down with his bare hands without even using magic.
After the opening banquet, Jerry and the young Slytherin wizards returned to their Slytherin dormitories together.
After a brief chat, the exhausted Malfoy trio fell fast asleep on the bed.
Half an hour later, Jerry slowly opened his eyes, took Voldemort's diary, cast a Disillusionment spell on himself, and quietly left the dormitory.
Carefully descending the luxurious marble staircase on the first floor to the second floor, he soon found the long-abandoned girls' restroom.
"They'll all be petrified!"
Finding Myrtle squatting in the toilet, Jerry, who was invisible, cast a full-body binding spell on her when she was off guard, freezing her in place.
Myrtle was a student who was killed by Voldemort when he first opened the Chamber of Secrets decades ago. She later became a ghost and lived in the girls' restroom on the second floor.
Ghosts can also be affected by magic. Nick, who was almost headless, was petrified after being seen by the basilisk, but he had already died once and would not die a second time.
After closing the bathroom door again, Jerry took his diary to the sink in the washroom, opened it, and wrote with a quill pen:
"I've come to the sink in the girls' restroom on the second floor as you requested. Where is what you're looking for?"
Jerry had promised Voldemort that if he taught him how to hide his presence, he would come to the girls' restroom on the second floor as soon as school started. He was a man of his word.
"You found a faucet in the pool with a small snake pattern engraved on it!"
A line of writing appeared on the diary.
"Found it!"
Jerry circled around and soon found the faucet Voldemort had mentioned.
"Place the diary near that faucet."
Upon seeing the new handwriting, Jerry cooperatively held the diary close to the faucet with his left hand, but at the same time, he secretly took out a small ball with his right hand.
"Hiss~"
Suddenly, a hissing sound, like that of a snake, came from the diary.
Suddenly, the faucet emitted a dazzling white light and began to spin rapidly. Then, the pool also began to move. As the pool slowly disappeared from sight, a thick water pipe tunnel, large enough for a person to crawl into, was revealed.
"Go inside, what I need is in there!"
"You only said you were coming to the girls' restroom on the second floor to get something, you didn't say you were going into this dark passageway."
This time, Jerry didn't listen to Voldemort and stopped in his tracks.
"So what are your conditions?"
Voldemort was clever; he knew that since Jerry hadn't turned away, it meant they could negotiate.
Jerry smiled and wrote:
"I've heard of a very special kind of magic that can read people's minds and study their brains. If you're willing to teach me, I'll go down and get your things right away!"
The spell Legilimency is basically impossible to buy in the market, not even on the black market, at least not on the French black market. He had gone there several times before but hadn't found it.
Even Snape probably wouldn't teach him such dangerous magic, so he could only turn to Voldemort.
It's important to know that Voldemort was a master at manipulating people's minds, and a master of Legilimency, even comparable to Dumbledore.
"You're talking about Legilimency. If you go down and retrieve what I need, I can teach you!"
Voldemort replied without hesitation.
In his view, Jerry was destined to be eaten by the basilisk once he went down there, so he certainly wouldn't refuse the request Jerry was making.
"But what if what you want isn't available downstairs? Don't blame me then!"
Jerry still didn't move.
"As long as you're willing to go down there, whether or not you find what I want inside, I'll teach you the Art of Manipulation when you come back up!"
Satisfied with Voldemort's assurance, Jerry took the diary and walked into the passageway.
The entire passageway, or rather the entire massive water pipe, slopes downwards.
So you don't need to walk; you can just squat down and slide down like you're on a slide, which is very effortless.
The main water pipe is very long, and there are many branch pipes that extend in all directions, but none of them are as thick as the main pipe, and it is unknown where they lead.
After sliding for several hundred meters, Jerry estimated that he had reached a place deeper than the bottom of Black Lake before sliding out of the tunnel and arriving at flat ground.
"Fluorescent lights!"
A bright light emanated from the tip of the wand, dispelling the darkness and allowing Jerry to see clearly what was before him.
This is a very wide stone tunnel, and its height is estimated to be about four or five meters.
"Hurry up, just keep walking along the tunnel until you reach the end!"
Seeing the fear that seemed to creep onto Jerry's face, Voldemort's urging words reappeared in the diary.
Jerry nodded, feigning fear, and then cautiously walked forward with his wand in hand.
After winding and turning for a while, we finally reached the end of the tunnel.
However, what appeared before him was a solid wall with two intertwined snakes carved on it, their eyes inlaid with large, glittering emeralds.
"Yes, right here. Move the diary closer to the wall, let me open it!"
Jerry could clearly sense the excitement in Voldemort's handwriting.
However, at this moment, he controlled his body and trembled, then turned back and wrote in his notebook:
"I'm not learning that Legilimency technique anymore. This place is too eerie. I have a very bad feeling. I'm leaving!"
"This is a treasure trove at Hogwarts. My great wizard hid many precious treasures inside. Once you go in, you will become the richest and most powerful wizard, even stronger than Dumbledore!"
Ignoring the writing in the diary, Jerry walked back with his head down. When he reached the pipe, he used a levitation spell to bring himself back to the sink in the second-floor washroom.
