Chapter 328 Jerry, the Magical Genius

Chapter 328 Jerry, the Magical Genius (First Update)

The headmaster's office, on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle.

"Mr. Carmen, could you tell me what exactly happened?"

Dumbledore looked at Jerry with a mixture of kindness, curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a hint of something profound on his face.

In Jerry's opinion, it's just that his expression is rather complicated.

Meanwhile, the four Headmasters standing nearby—Snape, McGonagall, Flitwick, and Sprout—all showed expressions of curiosity.

Jerry smiled slightly, maintaining the unique elegance of a Slytherin, and slowly and deliberately delivered his prepared speech.

"It all started when I returned to the castle from Hogsmeade. As I walked to the entrance of the Great Hall, a sudden inspiration struck me. I had a new idea about the theory of air magic that I had been researching recently, so I quickly went back to my dormitory and wrote it down."

When I came to my senses, I found that the Halloween dinner had already started, so I rushed to the Great Hall, where I ran into Sirius Black in his transformed black dog form.

"How do you know that black dog was Sirius Black in disguise?"

Professor Flitwick, who was standing nearby, asked in surprise.

There are only seven wizards legally recorded as capable of Animagus transformation, and Sirius Black is not among them.

Jerry paused for a moment, then glanced at Professor McGonagall with respect before continuing his unhurried reply:

"I have to thank Professor McGonagall for this. In class, Professor McGonagall taught us about Animagus transformations, and I was very interested in this kind of transformation magic, so I spent some time studying it in depth."

When I saw the black dog in the auditorium, I found its eyes, movements and expressions to be very human-like. In addition, no students in our college keep dogs, and given the recent Sirius Black incident, I had some guesses.

Surprisingly, when I tried using the Restoration Charm on the black dog, it actually reverted to human form and became Sirius Black!

"Yes, I remember that after class, Mr. Carmen specifically asked me about the Animagus transformation technique. I even recommended a few books to him. I didn't expect him to learn the Restoration Charm so quickly."

Professor McGonagall nodded in satisfaction, clearly appreciating Jerry's learning attitude and ability.

"Excellent! Intelligent, brave, and eager to learn, you even single-handedly subdued Sirius Black. Truly worthy of being a Slytherin student! 100 points!"

Snape managed a rare happy smile and gave Jerry a high score without hesitation.

The deans of the other three colleges did not object to this.

Because they also felt that Jerry's performance today deserved that Slytherin score of 100.

"Carmen, your performance today was outstanding. May I ask, when I saw you grow wings and fly just now, is it because you have some special bloodline?"

After Dumbledore affirmed Snape's decision, he looked at Jerry again.

The four deans also pricked up their ears at the same time.

Jerry scratched his head, feigning embarrassment:

"That's not bloodline, it's magic. As I just mentioned, I've been studying air magic lately, such as the Levitation Charm, Hovering Charm, Broomstick Flight Charm, and the advanced flight spells that Professor Snape taught me, as well as other air-related spells I've seen in the magic books in the library, and so on."

I've always felt that air magic is a very interesting kind of magic, and perhaps there are even more and better developments and uses to come.

During my summer vacation, I went to Greece. With some inspiration and the knowledge of air magic I had learned before, I finally developed a new way of flying.

This is a new kind of magic that combines air magic with transforming wings to fly. This new flight magic is not only faster, but also more stable.

Furthermore, I have created some new attack and defense spells related to air magic myself…”

After rambling on for a while, he took a thick diary from his satchel, placed it on Dumbledore's desk, and continued:

"This is my record of researching air magic and the new flight technique. I plan to write it into a book called 'The Theory of Air Magic and Flight'!"

Dumbledore and the four heads of the House of Lords were all stunned by Jerry's series of professional and detailed answers.

They originally thought Jerry's wings were related to his bloodline. It's not too rare for wizards to have magical animal bloodlines, such as trolls, giants, Veela, and werewolves.

Perhaps Jerry has some kind of magical bird bloodline, which is why he can grow and fold wings.

But unexpectedly, it turned out to be a new kind of magic.

Wizards who can create new magic are all very good wizards. Wizards who can create new magic while still in school are exceptionally gifted, like Voldemort and Snape.

To be able to perfect a niche magic system and develop a new flight technique while still in school is beyond what can be described as genius.

He's simply a magical genius!

Picking up Jerry's notebook, Dumbledore began to flip through it quickly. Soon, he confirmed that what Jerry had just said was not boasting, but the truth.

Some of the imaginative magical theories in the notebook were things he, the most learned and wise wizard of this century, had never seen before. Moreover, he also saw a lot of familiar magical knowledge in the theory about the new flight technique.

Perhaps, this third-year student before him might really become a wizard who could usher in a new era, just like him, Grindelwald, and Voldemort.

"Mr. Carmen, you are truly a remarkable genius!"

After hearing Dumbledore's words after closing Jerry's notebook, the deans began to talk about Jerry's usual performance in class, saying that Jerry often had some questions and remarks that impressed them.

Of these, Snape spoke the most.

Because in addition to attending classes, he often gave Jerry extra tutoring, so he naturally understood Jerry's usual performance better.

After some discussion, they realized that Jerry's current performance wasn't so unacceptable upon closer examination.

Even the smallest things in his daily life have already demonstrated Jerry's talent and extraordinary abilities.

"Sizzle!"

Just then, a flame rose from the fireplace in the principal's office, and a short, stocky old man wearing a dark green coat and a pinstripe robe walked out of the fireplace.

Following them emerged a middle-aged witch with blond hair and exquisite makeup, and a tall wizard carrying a camera.

"Oh, Headmaster Dumbledore, thank you so much for helping me catch Sirius! I've been driven crazy by him lately!"
