Chapter 329 Bizarre Interviews

Chapter 329 A Bizarre Interview (Second Update)

After the short, stocky old man emerged from the fireplace, he dusted himself off and immediately went up to hug Dumbledore with a broad smile.

Dumbledore seemed to have anticipated the old man's arrival and showed no surprise. Instead, he smiled and pointed to Jerry standing beside the desk, explaining:

"You should thank our Mr. Jerry Carmen. It was he who discovered Sirius's existence and single-handedly subdued him, allowing us to hand him over to the Aurors patrolling nearby!"

"Jerry Carmen?"

The old man looked at Jerry with some surprise, then seemed to suddenly realize something and immediately laughed:

"Oh, I know, Mr. Carmen is our England Quidditch team's genius Seeker. I didn't know he was so good at Quidditch, and his magical abilities are so strong too!"

"Actually, it was mainly because of you, Minister, who arranged for the Dementors and Aurors to patrol, leaving Sirius with nowhere to escape. That's how I managed to catch him by sheer luck. You deserve much credit, Minister!"

Jerry knew that the elderly man in front of him, who was around sixty or seventy years old, was Cornelius Fudge, the current Minister of Magic of the United Kingdom, so he deliberately flattered him a couple of times when he replied.

Upon hearing this, Fudge's eyes lit up, and he looked at Jerry again with admiration.

"Mr. Carmen will surely be a pillar of our wizarding world in the future!"

Allowing Sirius Black, a dangerous Death Eater, to infiltrate the school under the protection of Dementors and Aurors is clearly a serious dereliction of duty on the part of the Ministry of Magic.

But in Jerry's mouth, it became a merit of the Ministry of Magic. How could Fudge not admire this very eloquent young wizard?

"Why is the minister coming over so late?"

At this point, Dumbledore got down to business.

Fudge didn't keep anyone in suspense and quickly stated his purpose:

"Headmaster Dumbledore, as you know, because of Sirius's problem, the entire wizarding world has been in turmoil lately, and I have been questioned by the International Confederation of Wizards."

Now that Sirius has been captured, we definitely need to do some propaganda to stabilize public sentiment, so I brought Rita Skeeter, a reporter from the Daily Prophet.

Fudge's intention was to ensure that all wizards would learn about Sirius's arrest through the newspapers the next morning, in order to calm the situation.

"Indeed, the wizarding world needs peace. So, please have Ms. Skeeter interview Mr. Carmen. Mr. Carmen knows best the details of Sirius Black's discovery and capture!"

Dumbledore nodded, then smiled and waved to Jerry.

"Mr. Carmen, I'm afraid I'll have to take up some of your rest time tonight."

"It's my pleasure!"

Jerry stepped forward and stood opposite the female reporter Rita. He narrowed his eyes and gave her a half-smile, as if he was preparing something.

The news of Sirius Black's capture was already a major bombshell, but now it turns out that the person who discovered and captured Sirius Black was not a professor or headmaster of Hogwarts, but a third-year student.

This is definitely another super eye-catching bombshell.

In addition, this third-year student is no ordinary student; he is a talented Seeker for the English Quidditch team and a star Quidditch player who has led the team to victory many times.

She could already imagine how well the newspaper would sell tomorrow morning.

Perhaps she could also fabricate some false and exaggerated content to attract more attention, such as adding some details about the third-year wizard's complicated love life at school.

That way, it should sell out by tomorrow morning!

"Mr. Carmen, please come this way. I'd like to conduct a private interview with you!"

Rita enthusiastically pulled Jerry toward a corner of the principal's office, with the photographer following closely behind with his camera.

The interview definitely couldn't be conducted in front of the Hogwarts headmaster and ministers, otherwise some sensitive questions would be difficult to ask and write about.

Jerry obediently followed Rita to the corner.

"Mr. Carmen, could you describe how you discovered and subdued Sirius Black?"

Rita took out a notebook and a long, bright green quill pen from her crocodile-skin handbag and began her interview with Jerry.

"Of course, no problem!"

Jerry repeated everything he had just said to Dumbledore and the others.

"What? Your guardian deity is a giant? You've even created new flying magic? You're planning to write a magic book about air magic and flight?"

Through her interview with Jerry, Rita quickly understood what a true genius was.

However, despite this, the interview notes she took in her notebook still included a lot of personal information that she felt was more explosive and eye-catching.

For example, when reporting that Jerry's guardian spirit is a giant, a paragraph was added that Jerry summoned the giant guardian spirit because he fell in love with a giant girl while traveling in Greece.

When writing about Jerry's creation of the flying technique, it was not mentioned that Jerry received guidance from the school professors and actively studied various magic books before finally improving and creating the new flying technique and various air magic.

It's because when Jerry was an orphan, he had a blood-cursed orc playmate. That girl couldn't escape the fate of being a blood-cursed orc and turned into a pegasus and flew away. So, Jerry created a new flying technique with white wings to remember her.

And his planned magic book, "On Air Magic and Flight," was also written to commemorate the blood-cursed orc girl who had been transformed into a pegasus.

As for how Jerry discovered Sirius, it was because when Hogwarts was holding a Halloween party, Jerry and his girlfriend were on a date in the woods outside the castle when they bumped into Sirius, who wanted to enter the castle to kill Harry Potter for revenge.

His girlfriend was kidnapped by Sirius Black. To rescue her, Mr. Jerry Carmen used his newly created flight spell and the Patronus Charm he had just learned during the summer vacation. In a fierce magical duel, he defeated the terrifying Death Eater Sirius Black and successfully rescued his girlfriend.

Finally, as the interview was drawing to a close, Rita had already come up with a title for tomorrow's headline: Sirius Black Arrested, Jerry Carmen: Prodigal or Genius?

"Alright, that concludes today's interview. Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Carmen!"

In the corner, Rita excitedly closed her notebook, intending to end the interview and hurry back to draft the news she had already prepared.

Jerry, however, flicked his finger and instantly used telekinesis to pull the notebook from Rita's hand into his own, then quickly scanned its contents:

"Ms. Skeeter, are you writing news or making up a story?"

After reading Rita's news notes, Jerry felt like the veins on his forehead were about to burst.
