Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 53 Jerry's Plan

Chapter 53 Jerry's Plan

At 2 a.m.,

Jerry's door was slowly pushed open, and a tall figure hunched over, tiptoeing in like a thief.

It was his adoptive father, Has, in this life.

"Could it be that I'm overthinking it?"

Haas looked at Jerry, who was sprawled out on the bed with half the blankets off, and muttered something to himself.

Haas picked up the blanket and covered Jerry with it, then tiptoed out of the room again, closing the door behind him.

Shortly after Haas left, Jerry, who was lying on the bed, slowly opened his eyes.

"It seems we need to find a way to completely dispel Haas's suspicions!"

It turned out that while on the sofa, Jerry hadn't turned off the "energizing" function, so his five senses were in a very sharp state, and he easily noticed Haas's unusual behavior.

So, just to be on the safe side, he didn't go out tonight to earn little red stars as usual.

Sure enough, Haas came to check on the rooms that night.

This means that Haas has once again become suspicious of his identity.

Actually, it wasn't that he didn't trust Haas. As could be seen from the last school bus hijacking incident, Haas valued his and Elsa's safety more than justice or his duty as a police officer.

Even if Haas knew he was a wizard, he probably wouldn't tell anyone else or take him to the police station to register.

However, Haas is just an ordinary person after all, and for an ordinary person, the less they know, the safest they are.

Once Haas knows that Jerry is a wizard, even if he doesn't say it, there's no guarantee that others won't be able to get that information from him.

If they weren't Jerry's enemies, that would be fine, but if they were sworn enemies of Jerry, then Hass and Elsa would both be in danger.

Therefore, for now, it's best to dispel Haas's doubts and not tell him.

But how can Haas's doubts be completely dispelled?

He hasn't learned the Oblivion Spell yet.

After thinking it over carefully, he gradually formed some plans in his mind!

The next day, at the dining table in the living room.

"Dad, why do you have two dark circles under your eyes?"

Elsa, eating a golden-brown pan-fried dumpling with ice crystals, innocently pointed at Has's eyes and asked.

Has took a sip of porridge and stammered that a colleague had called to report on the case last night, so he went to bed late.

Jerry, standing to the side, chuckled to himself.

Don't be fooled by the fact that he comes home at 3 a.m. every night and gets up at 7 a.m., only sleeping four or five hours a night.

However, because of his "enhanced mental alertness," he always enters deep sleep after falling asleep, and his sleep efficiency is unmatched by ordinary people.

Moreover, children naturally have better mental strength.

Has is almost forty years old. In middle age, if he stays up until two or three in the morning, it's no wonder he can't have any energy in the morning.

"Dad, now that you and Ms. Belle are together, why don't you invite Ms. Belle over for dinner tonight?"

Haas paused for a moment, then immediately said with relief:

"Okay, son, it's Friday today, I'll leave work early. How about I make a reservation and take you and Belle out to eat together?"

Now that the two children know about his relationship with Belle and accept Belle, it is indeed time for Belle to come and get to know the two children in a different capacity.

However, upon hearing this, Jerry quickly shook his head and advised:

"No need. Eating out is such a waste. I once read a quote in a book: 'The highest level of hospitality is a family dinner.'"

Ms. Belle is about to become one of the most important members of our family, so of course, eating at home creates a much better atmosphere!

"But?"

Has hesitated for a moment. He couldn't cook, so Jerry would have to work hard for the family dinner.

"Dad, do you think my cooking isn't as good as what you get in restaurants?"

Seeing Haas hesitate, Jerry pretended to be angry.

Has quickly waved his hand:

"How could that be? What restaurant can compare to my son's cooking? Okay, I'll let Belle know in a bit. Thank you for your hard work!"

"It's not hard work. Just remember to call home when you get off work tonight so I can start preparing the ingredients. That way, by the time you and Teacher Belle get home, it will be almost ready!"

Just kidding, if we go out to eat, the plan will be ruined.

Time: 5:30 PM.

"Ring ring!"

The landline phone in the living room suddenly rang.

"Jerry, Dad's calling for you!"

Jerry, who was preparing ingredients in the kitchen, heard his sister Elsa calling him and quickly came to the living room.

"Dad, you're off work. Okay, I got it. I'll start preparing now!"

After hanging up the phone, Jerry chuckled and walked up to Elsa.

"Elsa, would you like some magical ice cream that can replenish your magic?"

"I want to eat it, I want to eat it, but didn't you and Dad say I can't eat it right now?"

Elsa, who was "flying" on her magic broom under the air conditioner, heard Jerry's words and her eyes lit up, but then she asked in confusion.

Because of losing her baby teeth, Jerry and Haas have been restricting her sweets intake lately, especially before meals. She's not allowed to eat snacks before meals, a rule Jerry set a long time ago.

"Ahem, isn't it because your brother cares about you and sees you haven't eaten in so long? One word: are you going to eat or not?"

Jerry coughed awkwardly.

"eat!"

The naive Elsa still trusted Jerry.

After all, Jerry secretly made her coffee yesterday behind his dad's back.

"Okay, but you can't tell Daddy that I went out to buy you ice cream, otherwise you won't get any more!"

Seeing that the only loophole had been plugged, Jerry took his guitar case from the room and hurriedly left.

Time: 6:30 PM.

Has, who had already picked up Belle, was in a good mood as he drove his police car through the city streets.

Just then, a news report suddenly came on the car radio:

"Hello everyone, I'm your favorite reporter Lucy. It's 6:30 now. We've received reports from citizens that the wizard has reappeared since the last fire incident."

He was riding a flying broomstick when he rescued an elderly man who had unfortunately fallen into the river. Let's cheer for him!

Upon hearing the news, Has was struck by a thought and stepped on the gas.

"Oh, honey, why are you driving so fast?"

Sitting in the passenger seat, Belle was startled by the sudden surge of acceleration.

"It's getting late, and I'm worried that the food might be ready by the time we get there, which would be bad!"

Haas offered a casual explanation.

Belle nodded, her face filled with emotion:

"I never imagined Jerry would be so well-behaved at school, and also take care of all the housework at home! He's only eleven!"

After expressing his feelings, he complained to Haas:

"You should have told me sooner, so I could have gone earlier and helped out!"

"Jerry wouldn't allow it. He said he'd personally cook a whole table of Chinese food as a gift to celebrate your arrival. Besides, you don't know how to cook Chinese food!"

Haas explained.

"Yeah, I feel like I'm probably not even as good a cook as Jerry. Do you think I can be a good mom?"

Belle suddenly felt a little melancholy.
