Chapter 560 Death Eaters Attack (First Update)

As midnight fell, all the wizards, having experienced a day of excitement, entered a period of exhaustion.

Many wizards from other countries have already returned to their home countries one after another after the revelry, using the port keys provided by the Ministry of Magic.

Although the social structure of wizards differs from that of ordinary people, it is largely the same.

Adult wizards have adult jobs and need to earn money to support their families, while young wizards have their own tasks and need to prepare for the start of school. Neither of them can stay here and party all the time.

So at this hour, those still staying at the camp for the last night were mostly British wizards, since most of them could Apparate to work the next morning.

Many Aurors and staff members of the Ministry of Magic also had to end their work early because the competition ended and wizards from other countries returned home.

Only a small number of Ministry of Magic personnel remained at the camp overnight to handle some final cleanup work the following day.

The same was true inside the Weasleys' tent; most of the people there had already drifted off to sleep in their luxurious rooms.

Except for Jerry, of course.

Because he knew that tonight would not pass so peacefully.

Although Voldemort had long been sealed away by him, preventing Barty Crouch Jr. from releasing the Dark Mark, Malfoy and his Death Eaters, who were not entirely loyal to Voldemort, still managed to wreak havoc on the camp that night while most of the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic were evacuating.

They weren't trying to prove their loyalty to Voldemort, of course; they just wanted to capture some Muggles to torture, so that all wizards in the wizarding world would understand that although Voldemort was gone, the supporters of purebloods still existed.

This is similar to marches and protests in the Muggle world, only more extreme and cruel.

"As expected, they've arrived!"

Sensing the magical fluctuations outside, Jerry knew that the Death Eaters, led by Malfoy, had begun their operation.

"Get up! Harry, Ron, Jerry! Something's happened outside, wake up!"

Arthur's voice suddenly rang out from outside the room, and Jerry, like everyone else, pushed open the door and went out.

Harry, from the room next door, rubbed his eyes and asked curiously:

"What happened? What's going on?"

"There's no time to explain. Quickly put on your clothes and take your important things."

Arthur said with a somewhat nervous expression.

So everyone hurriedly packed their things and, with Arthur, Charlie, and Bill protecting them, left the magic tent.

Outside the tent, flames and screams could be heard everywhere.

It turned out that not far from their tents, a group of wizards wearing masks and cloaks appeared. Some of them waved their wands and emitted magical flames, setting the magical tents on fire.

The other part consisted of Muggle villagers captured from nearby villages, who were magically suspended in mid-air and their bodies were constantly flipped up and down, causing them to scream in terror, which they found amusing.

Several young women wearing pajamas were even turned upside down, causing their pajamas to hang down and revealing their brightly colored underpants.

"Once a person puts on a mask, their true nature is easily revealed!"

Jerry knew that one of the wizards who was laughing and having fun with the group of upside-down Muggle ladies was Lucius Malfoy, who usually acted very elegantly.

"We need to help the Ministry of Magic maintain order. You all go hide in the woods over there with the others. We'll come find you after we've taken care of things here!"

Weasley, along with Bill and Charlie who had already rolled up their sleeves and grabbed their wands, gave instructions to Jerry and the others.

Those masked guys in front are clearly not easy opponents.

The few Ministry of Magic staff members who remained tried to stop them, but were easily defeated.

This is why everyone is so panicked.

"Listen up, everyone! I am Arthur Weasley from the Ministry of Magic. Mr. Jerry Carmen has opened a portal to Diagon Alley. Please evacuate this way!"

Knowing this was not the time to be surprised, Arthur immediately cast an amplification spell on himself and shouted at the wizards who were running around in panic with their families.

There are very few Ministry of Magic personnel left standing in the camp. Arthur, as a veteran of the Ministry of Magic, a member of the famous Weasley family, and author of the Muggle Protection Act, is a relatively well-known figure.

So when he announced his name, the wizards who were running around instinctively stopped in their tracks.

Then, when they discovered that there really was a huge portal in that direction, revealing the familiar Diagon Alley on the other side, and hearing the name of today's champion, Jerry Carmen, and thinking about the new magic that had been making headlines recently.

They instantly understood what was going on and immediately ran towards the huge teleportation portal.

In fact, when those masked men appeared, a small number of wizards had already used Apparition to escape from this place.

Those who haven't escaped yet are partly because they didn't do well in school and didn't learn Apparition, and partly because they have families to support and can't Apparition alone.

After all, learning to Apparate and learning to Apparate while also Apparating others are not on the same level of difficulty.

This is where Jerry's teleportation advantage comes in; he can use a single teleportation portal to send all the wizards here to safety.

This is something that no spell in the wizarding world can achieve in the present day.
