Chapter 694 Thanos's Army Attacks

Chapter 694 Thanos's Army Attacks (First Update)

"Clang clang clang!"

Just as Jerry had Elsa under easy control, there was a knock on the door.

"Jerry, Thanos has sent word that they're expected to arrive in the Void in five minutes!"

Nebula's voice came from the doorway.

"Looks like they're really in a hurry."

Jerry thought for a moment and then replied:

"Got it. Call everyone, I'll be waiting for you downstairs at the hotel."

According to the original plan, Thanos should have obtained the Power Stone and the Reality Stone by this point, but in fact, due to Jerry's interference, he doesn't have a single stone now.

So when he heard that two gems had appeared in the Void, one of which was the Soul Gem, which he had the least clue about, how could he not be anxious?

"Come on, Elsa, are you feeling unwell?"

After answering Nebula's question, Jerry turned back to look at Elsa and found that Elsa looked conflicted.

Elsa quickly waved her hand:

"Haha, it's nothing. Let's hurry downstairs so they don't keep waiting."

After saying that, she led the way to the door of the room, ready to open the door for her dear brother.

After Elsa confirmed that her brother was a wizard, a bold idea suddenly popped into her mind: could the legendary, ancient, great, and omnipotent super wizard Carmen, who had been mentioned by the little green dragon, also be related to her brother?

After all, her brother also had the surname Carmen, and coincidentally, she discovered Carmen Mahjong in the basement of her house, thus becoming a mahjong girl.

Furthermore, the mahjong magic she used had many effects very similar to the magic used by wizards.

She used to think that since it was magic, it was pretty normal, but now all these signs indicate that it doesn't seem so normal after all.

So the reason she looked so conflicted just now was because she was considering whether or not to ask her brother this question.

But then she reconsidered and decided it was better not to ask. Even if she did ask, she didn't know if her brother would admit it, and even if he did, given what had just happened, she felt the consequences would be far from pleasant.

It's better to avoid trouble and continue happily being a magical girl; that's the best course of action.

You can't fall in the same place twice, can you?

Watching Elsa run to open the door, Jerry secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He knew what Elsa was struggling with. If Elsa really asked the question that was on her mind, then he would only be able to bring up all the embarrassing things he had recorded about Elsa from years ago and hurt each other.

"No need for that complicated process, we can just teleport there."

Jerry grabbed Elsa's arm and then used Apparition to instantly appear with her at the hotel entrance downstairs.

Elsa snapped out of her daze and realized why her brother had said they would wait for Nebula and the others to gather at the hotel entrance, instead of having Nebula and the others gather at the hotel entrance and wait for them.

Sure enough, she was still far inferior to her brother in the application of magic.

She can't compete with him in intelligence, nor in strength. It seems that in the future, she can only bully the youngest member, Charlie, at home.

"Is this the power Thanos possessed when he rampaged through the universe?"

Five minutes later, the Void suddenly darkened, and a massive fleet, densely packed and seemingly endless, shrouded the Void like dark clouds.

Iron Man and the others standing at the hotel entrance looked up at Thanos's army in the sky, and almost all of them showed expressions of shock.

They knew Thanos was very powerful; his army roamed the universe with almost no one able to stop him. Even Xandar and the Kree Empire dared not interfere too much with Thanos's actions.

But when they truly witnessed the full power of Thanos's army, they realized what it meant to be so powerful as to be utterly devastating.

The last attack on New York alone involved several Chitauri fleets that they had to fight tooth and nail to destroy, as well as the even more powerful Vanguard Legion and the colossal spaceship Temple, which was almost as big as the Void.

To be honest, judging from the strength Thanos's army has shown, if he were to invade Earth, without Jerry's presence, Tony and the others felt that Earth would have absolutely no chance of winning, even with their powerful Avengers organization.

Indeed, that's true. Jerry felt that if Earth didn't have so many variables, the Chitauri army, the weakest in Thanos's army, could easily destroy it.

In the original storyline, the reason why the Avengers were able to achieve a Pyrrhic victory was largely due to Captain Marvel's superhuman abilities.

If it weren't for Captain Marvel, who could easily destroy those massive cosmic super battleships, Thanos wouldn't even need to come out; he could simply use the fleet's long-range weapons to relentlessly bombard them from outer space and easily achieve victory.

Earth simply doesn't possess any high-tech weapons capable of threatening Thanos's fleet, and there aren't many superheroes in the Avengers who can fight in space.

Therefore, the Skyfather level is a threshold in the Marvel Universe; only by reaching the Skyfather level can one disregard the threat of numbers.

At the single-universe level, they are essentially beings of a different level and cannot be defeated.

Even if you were to gather all the fleets in the universe, you would have virtually no chance of defeating a single universe-level powerhouse.

Thanos had previously hesitated to bring an army capable of easily destroying Earth to collect the Infinity Stones, and even sent Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf to test the waters, because he was too wary of the Ancient One and Odin, who were of the Skyfather level.

However, now that the Ancient One is dead and Odin is not far from death, if Thanos really obtains the Soul Stone and the Power Stone, then his next step will definitely be Asgard and Earth.

But Jerry won't let the war take place on Earth, or let the place where his family and friends like Haas live become a battlefield. He wants to settle everything in the Void, a place mostly populated by black market merchants.

"Jerry, are you sure you can do it?"

Looking at the endless, densely packed Thanos fleet, Tony swallowed hard and asked Jerry with some concern.

They were well aware of Jerry's power, but the power of Thanos and his cosmic fleet was equally despair-inducing.

"What if I say I'm not sure?"

Jerry didn't give an answer immediately, but smiled with interest.

Before Tony could answer, Steve spoke with great conviction.

"Even if we're not confident, we must fight. We absolutely cannot let them enter Earth, otherwise it would be a huge catastrophe for the planet!"

In the Avengers, Tony and Steve are not the strongest. Thor, Wanda, Stephen, Hulk, Elsa, and even Spider-Man when he gets serious, are all potentially stronger than the two of them.

But the two are the undisputed leaders of the Avengers, this superhero organization.

If Tony became a leader because of his intelligence and immense wealth, then Steve became a leader because of his spirit of never yielding or giving up, no matter what difficulties, setbacks, or desperate opponents he faced.
