Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 79 Quidditch Match
Chapter 79 Quidditch Match
Saturday morning,
Wearing a green and white Slytherin scarf, Jerry strode into the Great Hall as usual.
As soon as he entered, his eyes lit up as the rich aroma of grilled sausages filled his nostrils.
Of all the breakfasts at Hogwarts, his favorite was this sizzling, fragrant sausage, mainly because it was packed with meat.
He uses the "energizing" function extensively every day, which consumes not only the Little Red Star but also the body's energy.
So if possible, he wants to eat meat at every meal, and have sugary snacks and drinks at every meal to replenish the energy he consumes every day.
If other young wizards had observed Jerry eating closely, they would have noticed that although he tried his best to maintain an elegant posture while eating.
However, he probably eats several times more food at each meal than a normal adult.
Even though Gore and Crabbe are both incredibly big eaters, they actually consume far less than half the amount of food Jerry eats.
This leads to a situation where, unless something specific happens, Jerry is always the last one to leave the table.
"Jerry, will you be watching the Quidditch match at noon?"
Just as Jerry sat down and before he could even pick up a large sausage, Daphne across from him suddenly asked him something with a hint of anticipation.
"Of course, today's match is Slytherin versus Gryffindor!"
Jerry smiled and gave an affirmative answer.
Given his personality, he would rather spend half a day studying the three Unforgivable Curses than watching a bunch of little wizards playing ball on broomsticks.
He has had the three Unforgivable Curses for a week now, and he still hasn't been able to release them successfully.
However, there was no way around it; he was Slytherin's Seeker, and Slytherin was one of the teams playing today, so he had to participate.
Moreover, just two days after he joined the Slytherin team, Snape had already given him the latest Nimbus 2000 that he had promised.
Besides, without Snape's private guidance and help in resolving many of his doubts during this period, his magical progress would definitely not have been so rapid.
"Here you go, this is a little flag that symbolizes Slytherin. We can wave it together and cheer for Slytherin in a little while!"
Upon hearing that Jerry was going to watch the competition, Daphne immediately took out a small green flag that she had prepared beforehand and handed it to Jerry with a bright look in her eyes.
In fact, normally, when a team from our own college participates in a competition, almost no junior wizard would miss it.
However, Daphne still asked Jerry beforehand.
It mainly comes down to Jerry's usual behavior; it's entirely possible he would do something like that.
In the eyes of all the young Slytherin wizards, Jerry was exceptionally talented, excelling in almost every subject and treating everyone with utmost politeness—truly perfect.
The only drawback was that Jerry rarely, or rather never, participated in any of the private group activities held by the young Slytherin wizards.
Aside from sleeping during class, if you see Jerry, he's definitely reading a book.
The only difference is the location; sometimes it's in the library, sometimes in the common lounge, and sometimes on the grass by the Black Lake at sunset.
In short, Jerry doesn't seem to have any other hobbies besides studying.
But it is precisely because of this that many Slytherins, including Malfoy who was somewhat annoyed with Jerry, admired him greatly.
This leads Daphne to believe that Jerry might, but not necessarily, go to watch the Slytherin Quidditch match.
"Okay, thank you, Daphne!"
Jerry paused for a moment, then naturally took the small green flag.
He'll be going straight into the game soon, so he won't need the little flag. However, he promised Marcus to keep his role as Seeker a secret, so he couldn't really explain it away.
At 11 a.m., almost all the professors and young wizards arrived at the Quidditch pitch.
In the stands of the four directions of the stadium, young wizards from the four houses stood with their flags clearly marked, each wearing a scarf belonging to their house.
Gryffindor is red and yellow, with red representing fire and symbolizing courage.
Slytherin's attire is green and white, with green representing water and symbolizing lineage.
Hufflepuff is yellow and black, with yellow representing earth and symbolizing kindness.
Ravenclaw's colors are blue and white; blue represents air and symbolizes wisdom.
To prevent the young wizards from not being able to see the competition scene clearly, some of the stands were lifted into the air using a powerful levitation spell, but many young wizards still brought binoculars.
In the middle of the stands, there were some wooden towers that were taller than the regular stands. These towers housed the school's professors, commentators, and a group of non-school wizards who had come from Hogsmeade specifically to watch the game.
"What are you looking for?"
In the Slytherin stands, Pansy watched Daphne looking around, as if searching for someone.
"Jerry, he said he was coming to watch the game this morning at breakfast, but I haven't seen him yet!"
Daphne couldn't help but frown.
She also wanted to cheer for the Slytherin team with Jerry!
Pansy covered her mouth and chuckled:
"Jerry? You know he's probably lost track of time while reading. Did you forget about the Halloween party last time?"
Don't worry, Quidditch matches usually last two or three hours, he'll definitely be here before the match ends!
"All right!"
Upon hearing this, Daphne could only nod and turn her gaze to the center of the match.
at the same time,
In the Slytherin team's locker room, Jerry, now dressed in his green Quidditch robes, stood calmly in front of the exit.
"Jerry, don't be nervous. As long as you can perform at the same level as last time—no, as long as you can perform at even one-tenth of the level you did last time—we'll win for sure!"
Captain Marcus, standing to the side, nervously encouraged Jerry.
Although Jerry's performance last time shocked Marcus, he knew that there was a difference between private training and real matches on the field.
After all, in a real competition, with so many people watching, if your mental fortitude isn't up to par, it's easy for your performance to drop drastically, or even for you to be so nervous that you can't compete.
Jerry was only a freshman, and even though he was exceptionally talented, Marcus was still a little worried because he had never experienced a competition.
In particular, Jerry has never participated in their training.
"Captain, you look even more nervous than I am. Don't worry, I won't let you down!"
Jerry looked up and gave Marcus a reassuring look.
He didn't have time to waste two or three hours here; finishing early and going back to study magic was the most important thing.
