Chapter 23 Fugaku, I Choose You!

Fugaku immediately raised his head and turned his gaze to Orochimaru, his expression suddenly becoming serious. He said in a deep voice, "Orochimaru, intelligence has just come in that Kirigakure seems to be planning another surprise attack on our camp."

"What?" Orochimaru frowned, his face darkening. "They really are persistent. It's only been a few days since their last sneak attack, and they're back so soon?"

Fugaku nodded, pointed to a location on the map, and said in a serious tone, "According to our scouts, the Hidden Mist ninjas plan to launch a surprise attack on our forward positions in a few days."

His brow furrowed as he scanned the map: "Since the Hidden Mist Village plans a sneak attack, why don't we turn the tables and set up an ambush near our position to wipe them out in one fell swoop?"

Orochimaru's eyes flashed with approval upon hearing this, and he nodded, saying, "A good idea. We can send out a small team of elite ninjas, disguised as ordinary guards, to wait for the Hidden Mist Village to take the bait, and then wipe them out in one fell swoop."

Fugaku turned to Orochimaru and said firmly, "Do as you say. I will personally go to the front lines to command this operation, and you will stay at the camp to oversee it."
