Chapter 59, Section 60: The Plunge (Please continue reading, today is very important)

Sweetwater Estate, located on the outskirts of Park City, is more of a resort than a hotel.

These are all detached villas, similar to those rented in Sanya. If a family comes, they can definitely make it their home.

Eric soaked in the indoor hot spring, completely isolated from the cold outside, the misty atmosphere filled with enjoyment.

Suddenly, his expression tightened, and he frowned, but relaxed after a moment.

A few seconds later, a woman emerged from the hot spring. Colossevini shook his hair and licked the white from the corner of his mouth.

"Did you like my service?"

Eric pinched her chin: "You could be in the top three!"

While Eric lay on the sofa watching TV, Colossevini was cooking in the kitchen. The only thing that annoyed Eric was that the villa didn't have a computer.

However, the news hasn't broken yet, so there's no rush.

I pressed a few buttons on the remote control randomly, and the screen switched to NBC, where the familiar six-person group immediately came into view.

When he encounters troubles or feels bored, Eric always likes to watch "Friends." Every time he sees the six main characters, he can't help but laugh out loud, just like when he sees Stephen Chow.

The TV is showing a rerun of season 4, episode 11, which is also the source of Monica Seven's famous scene.

In the scene, Chandler, lacking confidence in his abilities, is seeking help from Rachel and Monica.

Off-screen, Colossevini walked over with a plate: "Try my pie, my friends all say it's delicious."

"Oh? You're watching Friends. Looks like we've found another shared interest."

He beckoned with his finger, gesturing for Colossevini to sit next to him, and both of them stared at the television screen.

Monica pulled out a drawing board: "Women have seven erogenous zones."

Chandler looked shocked: "Seven?"

Monica handed the drawing board to her future husband, who was shocked again: "This counts?"

"Of course, it's quite important. Sorry, I held it upside down!"

Rachel then revealed her XP: "Actually, it's not bad to hold it upside down."

He noticed that both of their eyes were on him, and then gave an awkward laugh.

"First, you need to get a 1."

"Then 123."

"Next, attack 5."

"Don't miss number 6."

"We need to execute a combination punch: 347, 254, 156, 56, and then 47."

Monica's expression grew increasingly strange as she spoke.

"Final frenzy attack 7".

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

"Seven!"

Outside the television, a plate crashed to the floor, and Colosseum, his eyes rolling back, shouted, "Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven!"

Half an hour later, she collapsed onto the sofa, murmuring wistfully, "You spilled my pie, which was a dish I had carefully prepared."

Eric patted her bottom: "Didn't I already make it up to you? You got to eat something even more nutritious and delicious."

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Eric woke up in bed. Colossevini had already left; she still had to do promotional work for the film, but she would be back after it was over. At least during the ten days of the Sundance Film Festival, she was reluctant to leave.

He took out his phone and dialed Elena's number.

The moment the beeping sound appeared, the other end answered instantly.

"Eric Cooper, my little darling, I was just about to call you. What kind of magic did you use? Hasbro's stock is falling again, now it's down more than 7%, hahahaha."

"Didn't I tell you to pay attention to entertainment news? I did an interview this morning, so it seems my influence has already spread."

"By the way, I don't have a computer here, and it's inconvenient for me to go out. Could you check what the paparazzi are reporting?"

The call ended, and soon a large number of MMS messages were sent over.

The New York Times: "Eric Cooper appears at Sundance Film Festival to respond to Transformers controversy."

Eric nodded. It was a very standard title, not sensationalist. But as he continued reading, his face darkened.

Chicago Sun-Times: "A rich kid's boring game will ruin Transformers."

Los Angeles Times: "A boast of $7 million in box office revenue, a kid who dreams of becoming a great director."

ABC Online: "The future of Transformers is uncertain; fans' expectations will ultimately be disappointed!"

CBS Entertainment News: "A genius director or a spoiled brat? Eric Cooper insists on directing 'Transformers'."

In addition, there are many unknown tabloids that fully utilize their imaginations to report outrageous content.

"The power struggle at MGM: Who really holds the reins?"

"Internal Strife: A Glimpse into MGM's Internal Struggles Through 'Transformers' - Who Will Win?"

"Insiders revealed that MGM is in disarray and signs of division are emerging."

Looking at the nonsensical headlines, Eric was both amused and speechless.

Although the more murky the water, the greater the impact on the market, I'm afraid I'll have to carry this huge burden for a while.

Eric hadn't finished reading when Elena called again.

"Little guy, what did you say? These media outlets are really smearing you!"

Eric sneered, "Satisfied now?"

Elena giggled incessantly: "Are you angry? Then come to New York, I'll make sure you're comfortable."

"Heh. Is that how you serve someone? I almost broke from sitting on you!"

"Hehe. I'm not worried about not having a next time. Of course I'm going to take advantage of you, my handsome little guy. I'll make it up to you next time you come."

"How will you compensate me?"

"Keep it a secret. A woman should always maintain a sense of mystery, understand? Otherwise, you won't be interested."

After hanging up the phone, Eric continued watching TV. HBO was showing Band of Brothers, and David Schumacher on screen was letting out a ferocious roar. It was hard to imagine that this was Ross from Friends.

David's acting skills were undoubtedly the strongest among the six, but unfortunately, after Friends ended, he gradually became invisible in Hollywood.

Several of his films failed to make a significant impact, and his new drama also suffered dismal ratings. This is often the fate of actors in hit dramas.

If a show runs for eight or ten years, the character becomes typecast. When the audience sees you, they think of Ross. Apart from George Clooney, no one has successfully transitioned to a different image.

As Eric watched the TV series, his thoughts drifted to HBO itself.

It's not yet the dominant force that holds half of all subscriptions in the US, and it doesn't have many standout shows, but it's truly willing to spend money, as evidenced by its $1.2 million investment in Band of Brothers.

"As for HBO, maybe selling 'The Walking Dead' to them would be a good idea; AMC definitely can't compete with them in terms of spending money!"

Chandler is really gone. It's hard to imagine old friends ever getting together again. Sigh...
