Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 590 The Immortal Duo VS. The Maintenance Team

After a painful roar, Kakuzu completely ignored the demon beside him.

He charged towards Hozuki Shingetsu like a cannonball, his eyes bloodshot.

Seeing his teammates vanish in an instant, Wangliang helplessly lowered his raised arm.

"Honestly, you were the one who told me to avoid trouble and run away, and now you're the one recklessly charging in."

"Are all kids these days so emotionally unstable?"

Despite complaining about Kakuzu's impulsiveness, Mouryou had no intention of abandoning his teammates and running away.

He bent down and squatted down, pressing his hands to the ground.

The earth trembled violently.

Countless undead puppets burst forth from the ground one by one.

Meanwhile, Hozuki Shingetsu ignored Kakuzu's attack.

Kisame Hoshigaki drew his flounder from behind and immediately gave orders to the group.

"Mr. Payne, go and help the Crescent Moon team up against Kakuzu. Izaburo, take the others and disperse the encirclement to prevent these two from escaping."

"As for this demon, leave it to me!"

After assigning the tasks, Kisame rushed out quickly.

At the same time, the flounder in his hand split into two, each holding a blade, and he wielded two energy swords, shattering all the undead puppets that had just crawled out of the ground in front of him.

Seeing that everyone around him had dispersed, Kisame loosened his grip on the hilt of his sword.

The two flounder scepters instantly plunged into the ground, and then he clasped his hands together and began to rapidly form hand seals.

"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"

A spiral of water was instantly spat out from Kisame Hoshigaki's mouth.

In the blink of an eye, it had transformed into a raging torrent, surging towards the army of undead puppets before it.

The swift current swept up all the undead puppets, including those whose bodies were still half-erected from the ground. The powerful current pulled them out and sent them spinning away into the distance.

Kisame Hoshigaki scooped up the flounder beside him and leaped high into the air, landing directly on the surface of the water.

Riding the surging waves, he slashed at the demon that had also jumped onto the water.

"Clang~"

A large, bluish-gray stone rapidly condensed on the wraith's arm, actually managing to block Kisame Hoshigaki's sharp chakra blade.

Even so, the immense force from above still blasted the demon directly into the water.

"Rock Fist Technique? The intelligence reports didn't mention that this monster from a thousand years ago also possessed ninjutsu?"

Kisame Hoshigaki looked at the demon in the water with a slightly solemn expression.

The fact that the opponent was able to block his blade with the "Rock Fist Technique" clearly shows that his Earth Release skills are beyond mere mastery.

The figure of the demon emerged from the water again, glanced at the undead puppet that had been completely swept away by the "Great Waterfall Technique," and shrugged helplessly.

"You Kirigakure ninjas are really unreasonable, but people always have to progress, right? I'm not some old-fashioned rigid person who doesn't change at all~"

Watching this monster, who wasn't even human, spout such profound truths, Kisame Hoshigaki, who had been somewhat relaxed, became even more wary.

Between a monster driven solely by evil instincts and a powerful being with human thought, the latter is clearly more difficult to deal with.

Kisame Hoshigaki slowly fused the two flounder swords together and put them back behind his back, then formed hand seals again.

More than a dozen water clones emerged from the water beneath their feet, each wielding a large sword and charging towards the demon.

Kisame Hoshigaki himself stood with his hands clasped together.

This posture helps to accelerate the entry into Sage Mode.

However, Kisame Hoshigaki had only just begun to gather natural energy and fuse with Sage Chakra.

The previously nonchalant-looking demon in the distance also became serious.

"Another method of manipulating natural energy. You Hidden Mist ninjas are really troublesome!"

As an ancient monster from a thousand years ago, it is an existence that has survived to this day in an era when even ninjutsu did not exist.

Of course, the demons and monsters are not completely ignorant of natural energy.

Moreover, the young Mizukage's Sage Mode had left a very deep impression on him when the four of them attacked Kirigakure last time.

Although the possessed spirit was not afraid of death, he did not want to be defeated by a "junior" for no reason.

Once the demon got serious, it immediately stretched out its arms, and then countless sharp wooden spikes shot out from its sleeves, heading straight for Kisame Hoshigaki, who was gathering natural energy in the distance.

The demon that wields the White Zetsu body naturally also possesses the ability of Wood Release.

Although it wasn't particularly powerful, for a soul that could freely exploit the energy of his body, the power of Wood Release far exceeded what an ordinary White Zetsu could achieve.

However, Kisame Hoshigaki did not dodge or evade the wooden spikes that were shooting at him.

Two of the dozen or so water clones that had been separated earlier immediately jumped out and wielded their flounder to block all the attacks.

Although both water clones were eventually destroyed, they bought Kisame Hoshigaki a few more seconds.

"Even a water clone with one-tenth of the power has this level of strength? Troublesome!"

Despite his constant complaining, the demon continued to use ninjutsu, attempting to break through the blockade of these water clones.

Kisame Hoshigaki, who was gathering natural energy, vaguely sensed that the demon didn't seem as urgent as he appeared.

It's like they're waiting for something?

"Is he waiting for his teammates to win so he can come and support them?"

"The combination of Pain and the Crescent Moon isn't so easy to deal with, and I only need half a minute to gather enough Sage Chakra to activate it."

Thinking of this, Kisame Hoshigaki grinned and dodged the attack from the demon, hiding behind the remaining water once again.

"Let's see if you're really so confident!"

the other side.

Previously, due to a loss of 20 million yen in cash, he impulsively stepped forward and engaged in a close-quarters fight with Hozuki Shingetsu.

Kakuzu immediately realized that Hozuki Shingetsu was a member of the Hozuki clan who possessed the "Water Transformation Technique." He immediately calmed down and decisively abandoned the less effective taijutsu combat, switching to ninjutsu attacks instead.

Who would have thought that this nobody named "Pain" who suddenly appeared was no less skilled in the Five Elements Escape Techniques than himself?

After several exchanges, he found himself at a disadvantage in the pincer attack of the two.

"Why does someone who's practically brainless have such power?!"

Kakuzu, who had originally focused most of his attention on Hozuki Shingetsu, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, was now forced to gradually find himself in a situation where he had to compete with Nagato in ninjutsu.

"Fire Release: Diligent Head Training!"

"Water Release: Water Pillar!"

After another clash of ninjutsu, Kakuzu intended to take advantage of the rising white mist to quickly create his Earth Grudge Fear clones to avoid being surrounded again.

Instead, a loud shout suddenly rang in my ears.

"Pain! Get out of the way!"

"Multiplicative Explosive Tags!"
