Mizukage's Pokémon Ninja Scroll

Chapter 591 Two out of five

Within the white mist created by the collision of Water Release and Fire Release.

Upon hearing Hozuki Shingetsu's roar, Nagato and Kakuzu's expressions changed drastically, and they hurriedly fled into the distance in a panic.

However, there was already a certain distance between the two who were exchanging ninjutsu, and Hozuki Shingetsu only gave a slight reminder before immediately launching an attack on Kakuzu.

The surging scroll of the exploding blade instantly blocked Kakuzu's retreat, followed by a deluge of explosive tags that swept towards him like snowflakes.

next moment.

With a loud "boom," the explosion of countless explosive tags combined caused the earth to tremble violently.

However, this is just the beginning.

As the first wave of detonating tags exploded, it was as if a fuse had been lit, and a continuous series of explosions resounded through the sky.

"Boom boom boom boom boom—"

Scorching flames shot into the sky.

One terrifying explosion after another created endless, surging waves within the roaring sea of fire.

Nagato quickly dodged away from his spot, and looking at the flames and billowing smoke in front of him, a bead of cold sweat involuntarily slid down his forehead.

If he hadn't run fast enough, he would have been lucky.

Even if the Shinra Tensei is launched in time, it is estimated that it will inevitably be affected to some extent.

Izaburo, who was watching from a distance, first looked at the blunt sword Kabuto in his hand, and then at the still roaring flames in front of him.

His Adam's apple bobbed, and he swallowed hard in shock.

However, just when everyone thought the endless explosions would continue.

The deafening explosion lasted only a few seconds before abruptly stopping.

If the firelight hadn't suddenly disappeared, these people would have thought they were hallucinating due to tinnitus.

Hozuki Shingetsu trembled slightly, looking a little embarrassed.

The giant scroll that had unfolded above the exploding blade instantly retracted.

However, the once neatly arranged scroll of detonating talismans was now shattered and torn to pieces.

Even during recycling, some charred residue can still be seen drifting in the wind.

"Ah—my droplets!"

Looking at the nearly crippled Bakuto Higanbana, Hozuki Shingetsu's eyes were filled with despair.

The forbidden technique "Mutual Explosion Tags," developed by the Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, was something that Hozuki Shingetsu, who neither knew the Flying Thunder God Technique nor possessed an Edo Tensei body, would naturally not use in his own body to perform such a suicidal move.

Even the Hozuki clan, who possess the ability to transform into water, would inevitably be blasted to ashes in that endless explosion.

When Jianchuan Ju taught him this forbidden technique, he had been studying it and combining it with the Exploding Blade Spray technique.

However, even the specially made scroll used by the Exploding Blade Spray could not withstand the continuous impact of the explosions.

Once the scroll was destroyed by its own explosion, the endless stream of "mutually multiplying detonating tags" naturally came to an end.

Fortunately, compared to the important blade, repairing the explosive talisman scroll was not a difficult task.

Seeing this, Nagato shook his head helplessly.

Such impulsive behavior is probably something only a free-spirited young person like Shingetsu Hozuki would do in real combat.

As the thick smoke gradually dissipated, all that remained of the site of the previous explosion was a huge crater.

"Has it been completely destroyed by the explosion?"

Looking at the empty, giant pit, Hozuki Shingetsu murmured to himself with a relaxed expression.

The scale of the explosion just now, even if the enemy was completely obliterated, doesn't seem too surprising.

It was precisely because he knew beforehand that Kakuzu could separate his heart to fight that Hozuki Shingetsu was willing to risk damaging his ninja sword to quickly defeat him before he could use the "Earth Grudge Fear" technique.

However, just as Hozuki Shingetsu was wondering whether he should get closer to take a closer look...

An arm connected by countless black blood vessels suddenly emerged from the ground behind him and pierced straight into Hozuki Shingetsu's body.

Fortunately, out of ninja vigilance, Hozuki Shingetsu maintained his water transformation technique even though he believed the enemy was dead.

However, before Hozuki Shingetsu could even dodge and pull the arm out of his body, a large number of crackling blue arcs of electricity suddenly surged from that winding, eerie arm.

A powerful high-voltage current rapidly spread throughout Hozuki Shingetsu's body, causing the explosive blade he was holding to fall to the ground.

"You brat!

Before Kakuzu, who had just emerged from underground, could utter a complete sentence, Nagato's fierce shout came from afar.

"Wind Release: Wind Slicing Technique!"

The sharp blade of air slashed through rapidly, severing the twisted black blood vessel with unparalleled precision.

The electric current that was constantly flowing into Hozuki Shingetsu's body also stopped immediately.

There was not a single wasted word.

Hozuki Shingetsu ignored even the flying blade fragments that fell to the ground, and flashed away from his original spot, once again putting distance between himself and Kakuzu.

Only then did Hozuki Shingetsu have time to look back.

At this moment, Kakuzu's once clean and tidy black robe with purple pupils had been completely blown to smithereens.

His body was covered in charred black sores, and the skin that was originally just stitched together was now barely visible.

More importantly, at this moment, two Earth Grudge Demon clones that were twitching incessantly were slowly collapsing and dissipating beside Kakuzu.

"Two hearts? That doesn't seem so bad."

Hearing Hozuki Shingetsu's slightly exaggerated teasing voice, Kakuzu's eyes were filled with resentment.

The sudden explosion attack was caused by hearing the name of the ninjutsu, which prompted him to hastily separate his two strongest defensive cores, 'Earth' and 'Water,' leaving the rest to use a defensive ninjutsu as cover.

The main body then burrowed underground and made its way away.

Having lived through the Warring States period, he had vaguely heard of the power of the forbidden technique "Mutual Explosion Talisman".

However, not long after his main body escaped with the other two hearts, the seemingly endless explosion abruptly stopped.

If he had known that his opponent was only at this level, even if he had fought back with all his might, his injuries might not have been more severe than they are now!

"That brat is going too far!!"

In the current confrontation, Kakuzu naturally could not bring himself to say that he had given up his two hearts simply because he was frightened by the name of a technique, thus losing his momentum for no reason.

Now all we can do is swallow our pride and bear it.

He watched as the two figures began to move again, subtly trying to surround him.

This time, Kakuzu dared not hesitate any longer and quickly separated the other two hearts from his body.

The second round of battles seems imminent.

But just then...

On the other side of the battlefield in the distance, a loud roar, no less intense than the previous explosion, came from the battlefield.

Kakuzu's heart skipped a beat, but he quickly regained his composure.
