Full-Time Magister: You're selling soul beasts in Shanghai?

Chapter 11 Silver Scale Armor, Great Spirit Seed Desolate Flame

"Zhao's Auction House"

After glancing at the impressive plaque, Xu Beichen was about to walk in when a guard stopped him.

"Sir, please show your VIP card," the guard in black said.

"VIP card? What VIP card?"

Xu Beichen was stunned for a moment, completely unexpected that a VIP card was required to enter.

Seeing that this was Xu Beichen's first time there, the guard in black said, "Entering the auction requires prior verification of funds. Once your assets meet the standard, you will receive a VIP card."

"They even require verification of funds."

Xu Beichen frowned. Upon closer inspection, it made sense. If anyone could enter, the auction hall would be overcrowded and could easily cause chaos.

"Where?" Xu Beichen asked.

The guard in black pointed to the side, and Xu Beichen looked in that direction and saw several people queuing outside a room.

Xu Beichen didn't make things difficult for the guard and simply joined the last line.

Since we're already here, we can't turn back halfway.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Xu Beichen finally finished verifying his assets and received a black card.

The VIP card seems to have different levels. Anyway, when the guard in black saw it, he showed an extremely shocked expression, and his attitude was almost obsequious.

Having sold three high-bloodline soul beasts, Xu Beichen's savings exceeded one billion, making him a minor tycoon even in a big city like Shanghai.

Upon entering the auction house, the first thing that catches the eye is a spacious and magnificent hall.

The hall has a very high dome adorned with exquisite murals, and the surrounding walls are inlaid with magnificent wall lamps. Soft light shines on the walls, reflecting golden patterns and adding to the sense of luxury and solemnity.

The lobby is furnished with rows of comfortable chairs made of top-quality velvet, which is soft and delicate to the touch and has a deep and noble color. The chairs are spaced far apart, ensuring that each guest has enough private space.

Directly in front of the hall is a huge auction stage, crafted from a single piece of precious mahogany. The surface is smooth as a mirror and exudes a faint woody fragrance.

Behind the auction stage was a huge electronic display screen, which was currently scrolling through exquisite pictures and detailed descriptions of the items to be auctioned.

"Lightning-type Spirit Seed. Wind-type Spirit Seed"

"Armor Magic Tools, Nebula Magic Tools, Demon-Slaying Tools, Shield Magic Tools"

"As expected of the Zhao Clan Chamber of Commerce, they have several spirit seeds." Xu Beichen clicked his tongue in amazement.

The Zhao Family Chamber of Commerce's main businesses are overseas, but even so, the vast majority of auctions in Shanghai are held by the Zhao family.

After seven or eight minutes, the entire auction room was full of people, and the auctioneer walked onto the auction platform.

"The first item up for auction is the Silver Scale Armor, a masterpiece created by Master Zheng over two weeks. You've probably all heard of Master Zheng's name, but I'd still like to introduce it to you."

"The main material of this Silver Scale Armor is taken from the Silver Python Pseudo-Dragon. This Silver Python Pseudo-Dragon has extremely strong defensive capabilities, even capable of withstanding high-level magic. In addition, Master Zheng has poured a lot of effort into this armor, making it difficult for even commander-level demons to destroy!"

"Starting bid is 80 million, with each bid increment no less than 1 million!"

As soon as the auctioneer's words fell, the entire auction room erupted into fierce competition.

Mages have always had one major weakness: compared to demons, mages are physically very weak. Even a mid-level mage can't withstand a single claw from a servant-level demon.

To compensate for this weakness, armored magical artifacts are needed to enhance defensive capabilities.

While shield magic items are also an option, they are not as convenient as armor magic items. Mages with a little savings will choose to buy an armor magic item.

"This armor is indeed quite good."

Xu Beichen rubbed his chin. Ordinary armor and magical artifacts didn't catch his eye, but this silver scale armor was indeed quite good.

Although Xu Beichen wanted higher-level armor and magical artifacts, it was unrealistic. Top-tier armor and magical artifacts were usually custom-made and rarely auctioned off.

Later, I'll buy a dragon spirit beast and use its scales to make armor and magic tools.

With fierce competition from others, the price of this silver scale armor has reached 120 million!

This price has already exceeded that of the Star River Vein, and several people are even raising the price. Armored magical artifacts have always been a necessity.

"One hundred and forty million!" Xu Beichen suddenly raised his sign and announced a price.

The entire room fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on the young man, their faces showing disbelief.

The previous bid was 120 million, but this young man raised it by 20 million in one go, bringing the price up to 140 million.

"Which family's young master is this?"

This was a question on everyone's mind: this person was far too young, and there must be a powerful force supporting him behind the scenes!

The people who were just competing glanced at Xu Beichen and then gradually returned to their seats.

"One hundred and forty-five million!" Only one brown-haired young man in his early twenties persisted.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Xu Beichen frowned. Could this person be a shill hired by the Zhao family auction house?

When the amount reached 120 million, these people clearly intended to back down, but after he added another 20 million, this person still dared to follow suit.

"One hundred and fifty million." Xu Beichen continued to raise his paddle.

Although he felt like he was being ripped off, Xu Beichen really didn't want to let go of such a good piece of armor.

The brown-haired youth gave Xu Beichen a deep look before sitting back down.

Congratulations to this gentleman on winning the item in this auction.

"Next item."

The following items were mostly shield-type magic tools and magic-slaying tools, which Xu Beichen wasn't particularly interested in. Two spirit seeds did come up, but unfortunately, one was lightning-type and the other was wind-type.

Xu Beichen originally wanted to buy a magic-making tool, but unfortunately the magic-making tools auctioned were all entry-level items.

"The next item up for auction is a top-grade fire-type spirit seed—Desolate Flame. Its base power has been increased by nearly three times. Although it has no additional effects, this three-fold increase already surpasses that of most spirit seeds!"

"The starting bid is 23 million, and each bid must be at least 100,000 higher."

"A threefold increase!"

Xu Beichen's pupils dilated; this was exactly the spiritual seed he needed most.

With the Chaos element in his possession, Xu Beichen is even more well-rounded than some high-level mages, possessing both defensive and support capabilities. What he lacks most is a Destruction element that can take the lead!

There's no need for any additional effects; the three basic Chaos skills are already comparable to three additional effects!

Moreover, the spirit seed is only a transitional stage. Once you reach a higher level, you can absorb the soul seed, and the additional effects will be replaced.

Therefore, he must take down this great spirit seed!

"Thirty million!!" Xu Beichen decisively raised the sign.

"ah??"

The auction room erupted in chaos. Everyone stared at Xu Beichen in astonishment. "Is this how you raise the price?"

This is just a spirit seed!
