Full-Time Magister: You're selling soul beasts in Shanghai?

Chapter 12 Challenge Week, Fierce Fist Around the Corner!

"Thirty million?!"

The auctioneer looked somewhat astonished; he had never imagined that the spirit seed could fetch such a price, especially in one go!

The brown-haired youth who had previously bid against Xu Beichen also showed a surprised expression. Just who was this person?

Could it be the second son of the Zhao family?

"Any higher bids?" the auctioneer asked, bewildered.

The entire room was completely silent; no one dared to raise the price. Spending 30 million to buy a spirit seed was simply insane!

Thirty million is already beyond the limits of a spirit seed; even the richest person can't afford to spend that much!

Of course, there is another important reason: none of them dare to offend this young man. He took out 200 million yuan in one go, so the power behind him must be enormous!

Congratulations again to this gentleman for winning the bid.

"Next item."

Xu Beichen did not participate in the subsequent auction items.

After the auction ended, Xu Beichen first paid the money, and then left Zhao's Auction House with the armor, magic tools and the Great Spirit Seed.

Upon returning home, Xu Beichen immediately absorbed the Great Spirit Seed, Wildfire.

After absorbing the spiritual seed, Xu Beichen resumed his cultivation; next week would be the challenge week.

The top 100 on the Fire Ranking will receive rewards, and the top 50 students will even have the opportunity to enter the Three-Step Tower for cultivation!

Xu Beichen plans to challenge the fiftieth on the Fire Ranking first. The top twenty students basically have natural talents, special magical tools and other trump cards, and the Chaos system may not be able to withstand them.

A few days later, Challenge Week officially kicked off.

When Xu Beichen entered the competition arena, the surrounding audience seats were already packed with people, including many students from other departments.

The news that Xu Beichen, a student with special talents, was challenging the fiftieth place on the Hot List had already spread throughout the entire Mingzhu Academy's network.

Although they didn't know how Xu Beichen got in, Xu Beichen was ranked last on the Fire Ranking, yet he dared to directly challenge the top fifty on the Fire Ranking.

That's utterly arrogant!

"You're unlucky to have fallen into my hands, a guy who got in through connections!"

From the referee's seat, Wei Rong glanced at Xu Beichen on the field and muttered something under his breath.

He was deeply impressed by Xu Beichen. He missed a single class for two whole months, and complaining to Dean Xiao was of no use.

They say they're students with special talents, but what talent could be more important than magic?

That's one thing, but this guy is so arrogant and ignorant, he dares to challenge the fiftieth place and try to soar to the top. He's extremely arrogant!

In the audience, a burly male student muttered, "It's the boss!"

"Dongfang Ling, do you know this person?" a female student next to him asked.

"I guess we know each other. I initially thought it would be a one-sided victory, but now it's hard to say."

Dongfang Ling immediately perked up; he had always wanted to know the boss's strength.

The boss was much younger than him, but since he was able to enter the main campus, he must be at least a mid-level mage!

"I will take charge of today's challenge."

Wei Rong fixed his gaze on Xu Beichen below and said, "Kid, you still have a chance to regret it now. Write a self-criticism honestly, and I can let you off this time for Dean Xiao's sake."

Xu Beichen frowned. Was there something wrong with this bald guy? Had he offended him?

"Let's begin," Xu Beichen said calmly.

"Very well, I'd like to see how long you can last. Xu Beichen, ranked 723, will face off against Xu Yan, ranked 50."

"Xu Beichen, I know you want a chance to become famous. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you later."

Xu Yan revealed a confident and sunny smile, completely disregarding Xu Beichen as his opponent.

He's ranked fiftieth. Even if he can't compare to those prodigies in the top twenty, he can't possibly lose to a student with special talents.

"You'd better go all out, or you'll regret it," Xu Beichen said calmly.

"Hehe~"

Xu Yan didn't take those words to heart at all.

"The challenge begins!" Wei Rong shouted.

A cheer immediately erupted around the arena. They were the crowd who loved watching the excitement the most, especially since this match was unprecedented.

They wanted to see Xu Beichen get utterly thrashed, but they also wanted to see Xu Yan, who was ranked 50th, suffer an upset.

Xu Beichen drew the star map very quickly. Xu Yan had only casually drawn half of it when he had already finished.

"How is that possible!"

Xu Yan exclaimed in surprise, "Is this speed of depiction really that of a newly enrolled student with a special talent?"

Blood-red flames burned around Xu Beichen, making him look like a fire demon that had emerged from hell.

The scorching flames spread from him across the entire arena, almost touching everyone's face.

"What a powerful spirit seed."

Wei Rong was secretly startled. He had thought Xu Beichen was a good-for-nothing, but he hadn't expected him to have some tricks up his sleeve.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

But that's far from enough!

"Wild Flame - Fierce Fist - Heaven-Shattering!"

Xu Beichen threw a punch at Xu Yan opposite him. Flames shot out from the fist and transformed into a huge fist as it flew, rushing straight towards Xu Yan.

Some less experienced mid-level mages would not have been able to react to this move at all, but Xu Yan was ranked fiftieth on the Fire Ranking. He was stunned for a moment and then reacted, and hurriedly activated the magic tool.

With the enhancement of the magic-enhancing artifact, Xu Yan's speed increased several times over, and he darted to the side before the fire fist could pounce.

"Thank goodness, I almost tripped!"

Xu Yan breathed a sigh of relief as he felt the scorching fist glide past his side.

If he were to fall into the hands of a student with special talents, he would lose all face.

Thankfully, I dodged it.

Just as he thought this, he suddenly felt a scorching aura getting closer and closer, and his expression changed drastically!

Damn, that powerful punch can curve!

"bump!!!"

An explosion rang out, and flames roared across the area.

"Hey, I didn't see that, did I? Xu Yan clearly dodged the Fierce Fist, so how did it still hit him?!"

"I saw that the fierce fist seemed to turn, as if it was being sucked away."

"You saw it too, I thought I was seeing things, the Fierce Fist actually changed direction, could it be his innate talent?"

The trainees in the audience erupted in cheers; they had never heard of anything like what they were witnessing before!

"Innate talent? Doesn't seem like it."

Wei Rong frowned. Clearly, Xu Beichen's performance had completely exceeded his expectations. No wonder Dean Xiao approved him as a special talent student.

"Very well, you've successfully angered me!"

A dark figure emerged from the flames. Although its armor and magical gear were burned black, they remained undamaged.

"You were able to react to that."

Xu Beichen was stunned. The fiftieth place on the Fire Ranking was not as simple as he had thought!

In that brief moment, Xu Yan directly gathered a thundercloud above Xu Beichen's head, and the booming thunder made everyone's scalp tingle.
