The Witcher: The Journey to Transcendence from Marvel...
Who is the culprit in Chapter 10?
Who is the culprit in Chapter 10?
"Wes, aren't you going to watch the Quidditch match?"
Hagrid looked at Wes, who was sprawled on the carpet looking completely at ease, and asked curiously.
Since his last visit, Hagrid's cozy and unique treehouse has become the perfect place for Wes to relax.
Sometimes he would read various books intently, or concentrate on making potions. Whenever he felt tired, he would come here to rest.
Perhaps it's because the treehouse displays a dazzling array of rare and precious materials, that simply admiring them is enough to bring immense satisfaction.
However, every time he comes to Weiss, he thoughtfully brings a few bottles of fine wine.
Hagrid casually picked up a bottle of red wine, and with a flick of his finger, the cork flew off with a "whoosh."
Without saying a word, he gulped down the wine, and in just a few sips, the entire bottle of red wine was gone, leaving only specks of wine stains on his thick beard.
Just then, the door made of sturdy wood was suddenly pushed open, and Harry, Ron, and Hermione rushed in, looking flustered and hurried.
"Hagrid, Harry was almost killed today!" Hermione shouted anxiously.
"That's right!" Ron echoed, his voice full of tension.
The three of them couldn't help but shout and yell.
Hagrid stared with his still-dazed little eyes, his face full of confusion: "What? What are you talking about? I don't understand a word you're saying."
He couldn't hold onto a single wine bottle properly.
With a "bang," the bottle crashed to the ground, and the red wine inside spilled out.
While enjoying a massage from Wes, Ya Ya rushed over excitedly upon hearing the noise, happily and greedily licking the red wine that had spilled onto the ground.
Seeing this, Hagrid quickly bent down to pick up the wine bottle, muttering, "Hey, you naughty little thing, this is fine wine, you can't waste it like this."
At this moment, his attention was completely diverted to the red wine and Ya Ya.
"Red wine?" Hermione asked sternly, hands on her hips. "Hagrid, I remember perfectly well, you were supposed to be patrolling near the stadium today. Why are you hiding at home drinking right now!"
"Uh, well..." Hagrid's small eyes darted around quickly, then a sudden idea struck him, and he slapped his forehead. "Wes wanted to see me. We were discussing something important. I didn't skip work without permission."
Only then did the three of them notice Wes lying on the carpet.
"Professor Erwin!!" The three exchanged glances and shouted in unison, never expecting to run into the new professor here.
Wes casually waved at the three of them: "Don't worry about me, just pretend I don't exist."
"By the way, didn't you just say Harry almost got killed? What exactly happened?" Hagrid asked anxiously.
Hermione, barely catching her breath, vividly recounted the dramatic scene that unfolded on the field, and confidently concluded that Snape was the prime suspect.
"Impossible!!" Hagrid exclaimed, waving his hands excitedly. "Professor Snape would never do anything to harm Harry!"
"But he seems to really hate me."
Harry frowned, looking aggrieved, clearly believing Hermione's deduction.
"That's right, I saw Professor Snape chant a spell on Harry's flying broom, and after I burned his robes, the broom immediately returned to normal."
Hermione added eagerly, her expression serious.
"That's right, that must be it." Ron nodded vigorously from the side, his eyes filled with unwavering agreement.
Wes couldn't help but chuckle as he listened to their conversation.
Hermione, like a proud swan, held her head high and said angrily, "Professor Erwin doesn't believe my reasoning. I've read several Sherlock Holmes books carefully, and my deductions can't be wrong."
"Read less of those mystery novels," Wes said, shaking his head helplessly.
Hermione was taken aback; she clearly hadn't expected that Wes had also heard of Sherlock Holmes.
"I come from the Muggle world, so of course I know these things," Wes said, sitting up straight.
Hermione was still unconvinced and plopped down heavily next to Wes.
"Why don't you tell me why it couldn't be Professor Snape?"
Harry, like a wounded fawn, timidly approached Wes, looking at him with pitiful, pleading eyes.
"I might as well do something kind for once." Wes sighed helplessly, then sat up cross-legged.
"First of all, Professor Snape is a Potions Master. Do you know what a Potions Master is?"
The three little ones looked at each other and shook their heads in unison.
"In the entire British magical world today, Professor Snape is the only one who is universally recognized as a Potions Master."
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
Upon hearing Wes's explanation, the three little ones stared wide-eyed in surprise, their mouths involuntarily forming an "O" shape.
"So he's such an amazing person."
Although Harry wasn't quite sure what the Potions Master specifically meant, he knew that there was only one in all of Britain, which was enough to show that Professor Snape was exceptionally capable.
Hermione, however, remained unconvinced and said, "This only shows that Professor Snape has a profound knowledge of potions, but it does not completely rule out his suspicion."
Ron nodded in agreement.
Wes sighed helplessly: "I really don't know why you all have such a big prejudice against Professor Snape."
"Since Professor Snape is a Potions Master, wouldn't concocting a deadly poison be a piece of cake for him? Why would he bother to curse Harry's flying broomstick in public? Wouldn't that have exposed him too easily?"
Hermione was speechless for a moment, because what Wes said was indeed reasonable.
"But Harry's broom did malfunction at the time."
Hermione scratched her head in frustration, feeling that a clue she had painstakingly discovered had been dismissed just like that.
"That means someone else had cursed the broom, and Professor Snape was actually casting a counter-curse; he was secretly protecting Harry."
"Protect me? Professor Snape?" Harry stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
"The killer is right here," Hermione said firmly, but then her eyes widened in confusion. "Who could it be?"
The three little ones all turned their hopeful eyes to Wes.
"How would I know?" Wes shrugged helplessly. "I wasn't there; I didn't witness what happened."
The three arrived full of expectations, but ultimately left disappointed.
"Wes, can you help them?" Hagrid's voice choked with emotion, filled with heartache. "Harry is a poor child."
"Isn't there Dumbledore? He's always been very attentive to Harry."
"That's right, Dumbledore is still here." As a die-hard fan of Dumbledore, Hagrid firmly believed that Dumbledore could solve any problem.
After finishing his sentence, Wes slumped back onto the carpet, relaxing his body, and continued chatting with Hagrid in a casual manner.
