Chapter 129 The Radiant Magic Wand

He had a unique tattoo on his right eye, double eyelids with upturned corners, and golden pupils that shimmered with an unusual light. His short, sky-blue hair made him stand out from the crowd.

"Ultear, is this the guest you brought back?" Gerald's voice was slightly lazy. He crossed his legs, propped his head up with his right hand, and looked down at Wes with a scrutinizing posture, as if he wanted to take in everything about him.

Ultear nodded slightly in response: "Yes, Lord Jellal. This is Wes, a very powerful mage."

Gerald's gaze lingered on Wes for a moment before he looked away, maintaining his leisurely demeanor.

Wes remained calm and showed no anger at Gerald's attitude.

In his view, Gerard was merely a pawn manipulated by the will of others, and not worth bothering with.

Urudia seemed to have anticipated Gerald's attitude and persuaded him with just a few words.

"Indeed, the final stage of the R system requires a powerful ally," Gerald admitted. He had already hired the assassination squad "Three Crows" to assist with the plan, and now with Wes's help, the entire operation would undoubtedly proceed more smoothly.

Gerald did not ask Wes how he met Ultear, nor did he question why he was there.

For him, nothing else matters as long as he achieves his goal.

"How pathetic."

After leaving, Wes couldn't help but sigh.

"If the Magic Council knew that their most promising youngest 'Ten Wizards,' Zekelein, had been manipulated and that the R System had been built, they would probably be ashamed beyond measure."

Upon hearing this, Urudia chuckled contemptuously: "Heh heh heh, those old fogies have thick skin, they won't feel ashamed over such a small matter."

After saying that, Ultear led Wes on a tour of the enormous building known as the Tower of Paradise.

As they walked, the secrets of the tower gradually unfolded before Wes' eyes, each floor filled with incredible wonders combining technology and magic.

During the visit, Ultear led Wes to the observation deck of the Tower of Paradise, from where one could see the complex and ingenious fusion of magic circles and high-tech equipment inside the tower.

The R system, short for "Revive System," is a type of magic that uses living people as sacrifices to bring the dead back to life.

This magic, known as the "Resurrection Technique," is strictly prohibited by the Magic Council because it violates human ethics.

Eight years ago, the Dark Magician Order secretly built the R System with huge sums of money and manpower. Originally, there were seven towers, but under the strong suppression of the Magic Council, these towers were destroyed one after another.

However, the council was unaware of the existence of the eighth tower.

"Of course, we did some tricks," Ultear said smugly. "Lord Hades cleverly diverted the Magic Council's attention."

"However, I never expected that so many geniuses would gather in this eighth tower—Jeral, Erza, and even the Oración Seis."

Ultear felt a pang of regret; it would have been so much better if all of these people had joined the Demon Heart.

During the visit, Wes encountered Erza and Gerald's childhood friends.

But these people were very resistant to Weiss's arrival.

"Who exactly is this guy?" whispers came from the crowd.

"Ignore him."

"Why would Gerald invite a stranger in?"

Weiss completely ignored these comments.

He had no interest in establishing any connection with these people; he simply followed Urutia, trying to uncover the secrets of the tower.

During the visit, Wes finally met members of the legendary assassination squad, the Three Crows.

Although the Three Crows live in the dark world, they do not belong to the Balam Alliance, which makes them even more mysterious and unpredictable among the dark forces.

The Three Crows consists of three members, the most notable of whom is the warrior known as the Owl.

"Owl" is an exceptionally tall man with well-defined muscles, and his bare upper body exudes a powerful sense of strength.

He was carrying a jet on his back, and what surprised Wes the most was that "Owl" had an owl's head, which made him stand out from the crowd.

Is it a hood or a real headpiece?

This question lingered in Weiss's mind, and he couldn't help but develop a strong research interest, wanting to find out the truth behind this strange phenomenon.

However, now is not the time.

Bringing his thoughts back, Wes returned to the room prepared for him.

The room is spacious and bright, with enough space to fully meet Wes's living and working needs.

Wes placed his wand and some potentially useful magical materials on the table, along with a design drawing.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

The drawings depict intricate patterns and formulas, representing the design scheme for modifying the magic wand.

"The strength should be increased, otherwise it won't be able to withstand my magic power, and its adaptability to spells..." Wes pondered as he carefully marked and modified the design.

For the next few days, Wes almost secluded himself in the room, focusing intently on modifying the wand until he finally succeeded.

The others seemed to accept Wes's presence and did not disturb him.

One morning, the door, which had been closed for many days, finally opened, and Wes walked out, his wand looking brand new.

The original wand, after being modified, not only became longer, but its surface also flowed with a silver light, as if it were alive.

Wes walked out of the Tower of Paradise and came to the seaside.

He raised his wand and pointed it at the boundless sky.

Guided by the magic wand, the once clear sky suddenly turned gloomy, dark clouds quickly gathered, blocking out the sunlight, and a storm seemed to be approaching.

Then a torrential downpour began, the raindrops hitting the ground with a "pattering" sound.

Wes was very pleased with his new wand.

"Not bad, you'll be able to adapt completely after a few battles."

The other onlookers on the beach all cast surprised glances at them.

They had probably never seen such power before, especially in a place so isolated from the outside world.

Wes quietly put away his wand and returned to the Tower of Paradise.

After witnessing this scene, Simon, Wally, and the others became more wary of Wes, the newcomer.

Although everyone was curious, no one went up to ask Wes what kind of magic he was using.

News of Wes changing the weather with his new wand and causing a torrential downpour quickly spread throughout the Tower of Paradise.
