Chapter 198 Strange Space
Chapter 198 Strange Space
Wes had no intention of taking this devastating blow.
If he were to take the blow head-on, even with his powerful magic, he would surely be seriously injured.
Moreover, in such an unstable space, any powerful shock could trigger unpredictable consequences.
Weiss's first thought was to use Apparition, but the energy fluctuations generated by Apparition in such an unstable space could very well be the last straw that breaks the camel's back, triggering a series of catastrophic reactions that plunge the entire space into complete chaos and destruction.
Therefore, Wes made a quick decision and used earth magic.
The ground, like a soft liquid, instantly engulfed him, allowing him to dodge Thor's hammer.
Thor flew to Jane Foster's side, his face full of worry, his eyes filled with anxiety and concern.
He called out her name loudly.
"Jane! Jane! Wake up!"
However, Jane was in too much pain to respond.
Her expression was one of extreme pain, and her body trembled slightly.
"Thor, you still greet people so rudely." Wes's voice came from underground, tinged with a hint of helplessness and teasing.
"Couldn't you have observed it more closely?"
Weiss's tone revealed his dissatisfaction with Saul's reckless behavior.
"Wes??" Thor looked confused, his eyes filled with surprise. "You're here too?"
Thor clearly hadn't expected to run into Wes here.
"The person you hit with the hammer was me," Wes said with a hint of complaint in his voice.
"I'm sorry, I was too hasty," Thor quickly apologized, a look of guilt on his face.
Then, he looked at Jane with a pained expression, his eyes filled with pity.
"What's wrong with Jane?" Saul's voice was full of worry and confusion.
"The Reality Stone has chosen her." Wes's voice came from underground, explaining the current situation succinctly.
"The Reality Stone? The Aether!" Thor exclaimed.
He returned to Asgard and consulted many ancient texts, gaining some understanding of the Infinity Stones.
He was well aware of the Reality Stone's immense power and understood that Jane, as an ordinary person, simply could not withstand such violent force.
"Why is this happening? Jane is just an ordinary person and cannot withstand such violent power. The Reality Stone must be removed from Jane's body."
Saul's tone was firm and resolute; he knew he had to take action to protect Jane's life.
Thor tried to touch Jane, his hand gently reaching towards her body, hoping to find a way to remove the Reality Stone from her.
However, the energy within Jane's body was stimulated and became even more violent.
A powerful force erupted from Jane's body, forcing Thor back.
The sudden burst of power was also tormenting Jane, and her pain became even more intense.
Her body trembled violently, and she groaned in pain.
Even this space itself has become unstable.
The spacetime rift began to expand continuously, and the surrounding atmosphere became even more eerie and dangerous.
The entire space could collapse at any moment.
Thor looked at the scene before him, his heart filled with anxiety and helplessness.
He knew he had to find a solution as soon as possible, otherwise Jane and the entire space would be in great danger.
That's when Wes made his move.
Wes kept chanting incantations, his voice deep and rhythmic, and as he chanted, the Mind Stone on his scepter began to shimmer with an eerie light.
A blue ray of light shot out from the Mind Stone, flowing through the air like a nimble stream of water.
Where the light passes, it brings a sense of tranquility and peace.
There is a close connection between the Infinity Stones. Perhaps sensing the presence of a companion, the Reality Stone quieted down.
The originally violent power gradually subsided, like surging waves returning to a calm sea.
Jane's expression calmed down, and she wasn't in so much pain anymore.
Her tightly furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and her face softened.
Her breathing became steady, as if she were waking up from a terrible nightmare.
"Jane," Thor's gentle voice rang out, filled with concern and love.
His eyes were fixed on Jane, as if she were the only person left in the world.
Jane's eyelashes trembled slightly as she struggled to open her eyes.
There was a hint of confusion in her eyes, as if she had not yet fully recovered from the pain.
"Thor? Am I dreaming?" Jane's voice was weak and hoarse, full of uncertainty.
Thor took Jane's hand and gently placed it on his face. His movements were tender and delicate, unlike his usual berserker demeanor.
"Is it really you?" Jane's voice held a hint of surprise.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
"It really is me, Jane, I miss you so much..." Thor hadn't finished speaking.
With a "smack," Jane slapped Thor across the face.
Thor wasn't in pain, of course; he was just a little confused.
His eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.
"Jane??" Thor's voice was full of doubt.
"You..." Jane said, her voice tinged with anger.
"This isn't the time for flirting," Wes interrupted their sweet interaction. "This space isn't stable; let's get out of here."
Wes scanned his surroundings; he could sense that the space was about to collapse.
"Wes is right."
Thor immediately realized what was happening and picked up Princess Jane.
They flew out of this space together.
They swiftly traversed the unstable space, the wind whistling past their ears.
When they left that dangerous space and returned to Earth, that space had already begun its process of annihilation.
The entire space seemed to be crushed by an invisible giant hand, emitting a series of heart-palpitating roars.
The light flickered uncertainly, darkness and light intertwined, then vanished at a single point.
Before Thor could even catch his breath, the Reality Stone within Jane began to activate again.
That powerful force surged within Jane's body, like a trapped beast that could break free at any moment.
"What's going on?" Thor's voice was filled with panic and confusion.
He held Jane tightly, unsure how to handle the situation, and could only place his hopes on Wes.
Wes frowned and fell into deep thought.
After a moment, he offered his speculation: "The Reality Stone is modifying Jane's body to make her able to withstand its power. However, this modification is very brutal, and Jane's body cannot withstand it."
"Wes, didn't you just control the Reality Stone?" Thor's eyes were full of anticipation; he hoped Wes could cast the spell again and control the power of the Reality Stone.
"The Reality Stone is not so easy to control."
Wes shook his head, a hint of helplessness on his face.
The Reality Stone is one of the most powerful artifacts in the universe, its power surpassing human imagination.
Wes once again used the power of the Mind Stone to try to appease the Reality Stone.
This time, the process wasn't as smooth as the first time.
