Chapter 261 An Encounter

After adapting to his newfound power, Wes decided to leave.

Shortly after he left, Ronan led a massive Cree army to the area in a menacing manner.

These Kree swept in like a raging tide, filled with boundless rage and determination, vowing to find Wes, who had stolen the Power Stone.

The Kree army launched a massive, thorough search of the planet, leaving no corner unchecked and turning it upside down.

Soon, they discovered traces of where Wes had lived.

The altered terrain, and the lingering magical aura in the cave.

"He came here, but he's gone now." Ronan's voice was filled with anger and resentment.

He stared intently at the cave where Wes had once stayed.

He raised his foot, and a powerful force erupted instantly, collapsing the cave.

Shards flew, dust filled the air, and Ronan's anger swept over everything around him like a storm.

"Damn it!!" Ronan cursed, his face horribly grim.

Nebula watched him coldly, her eyes devoid of any emotion. "So what if you catch up? You're no match for that person."

Nebula's words were like a cold blade, piercing Ronan's pride.

Ronan stared fiercely at Nebula without saying a word.

His heart was filled with anger and humiliation, but he also knew that what Nebula said was true.

After the last operation failed, Thanos gave him a good beating. If it weren't for Gamora's betrayal, he would have been executed long ago.

I don't know what methods Thanos used, but he somehow knew that Wes was on this planet.

They rushed as fast as they could, but they were still a step too late.

Ronan knew that Thanos would not give him another chance.

His heart was filled with pressure and fear. He had to find Wes as soon as possible and retrieve the Power Stone, or his fate would be unimaginable.

The two faced off like this, the atmosphere extremely tense, as if they were about to start a fight at any moment.

Just then, Ronan's adjutant trotted over.

"The enemy is heading towards star N-998." The adjutant's voice broke the tense atmosphere.

Ronan immediately composed himself.

"Let's go!" Ronan gave the order.

The Kree army moved swiftly, boarding their ships and heading towards N-998.

Nebula also relayed the information back.

On an unknown planet in the universe, Thanos's army is attacking it.

This army is large and powerful, well-equipped, and has formidable combat capabilities.

The people on the planet rose up in resistance, organizing an effective counterattack in an attempt to defend their home.

However, their power seemed so insignificant in the face of Thanos's army.

Especially after the Black Obsidian Five joined the battlefield, the situation instantly reversed.

The Obsidian Five were like five terrifying demons; no one could stop them wherever they went.

The planet's armies collapsed like a house of cards, and countless people were slaughtered.

Blood stained the earth red, and the stench of death permeated the air.

Thanos stood silently outside the battlefield, his eyes showing no emotion whatsoever.

He looked at everything before him without a trace of pity.

[This is too inefficient; only by collecting all the Infinity Stones can I achieve my wish.]

Thanos thought to himself that his goal was to collect all the Infinity Stones and realize his grand plan.

He felt no affection whatsoever for the planets he attacked.

The one-sided massacre ended quickly.

This planet only has half its population left; that's Thanos's principle.

He believed that the planet had too many people and that its resources could not support so many.

The current state of this planet is very similar to that of Titan in its early days.

Thanos witnessed the destruction of Titan and believed that by eliminating half of its inhabitants, the planet would regain its former prosperity.

However, no one could understand his ideas.

To others, Thanos was a cruel demon whose actions were unforgivable.

But Thanos firmly believed that his approach was correct, and that only through this method could the universe be saved.

After defeating the enemy, the Black Order returned to Thanos's side.

The five knelt respectfully on the ground, their heads bowed, their eyes filled with awe, quietly awaiting Thanos's command.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Thanos's towering figure was like an unshakeable mountain, his eyes deep and cold, as if he could see through everything.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, pondered for a moment, and then said in a deep voice, "Ebony Maw, Black Dwarf, set off immediately for N-998."

"Yes!" Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf responded in unison without hesitation.

Their voices were filled with determination and obedience, without the slightest hesitation.

For them, Thanos's orders were absolute rules, and they had to carry them out without hesitation.

Their actions were decisive and swift, without the slightest hesitation.

They led their men and quickly boarded the spaceship.

The spaceship's hatch closed slowly, making a dull thud.

With the roar of the engines, the spaceship slowly rose into the air and sped toward star N-998.

There are many considerations behind why Thanos didn't go in person.

It's far too early; every action Thanos takes could trigger a massive shift in the entire cosmic landscape.

He is a fearsome overlord of the universe, and his every move is closely watched by countless eyes.

Once he personally intervenes, it signifies the official start of a full-scale war, plunging the entire universe into endless conflict and chaos.

Currently, his plan has not yet reached that crucial step.

He meticulously planned everything for his fame, and every step was carefully considered.

He wants to appear at the most opportune time, in the most powerful manner, to achieve his grand yet controversial goal.

He was like a patient hunter, quietly waiting for his prey to enter the optimal attack range.

In this process, he dispatched his capable subordinates to carry out the missions, partly to test the strength and reaction of his opponents, and partly to ensure that the plan could proceed steadily as he had envisioned.

He cannot reveal his full strength prematurely due to a momentary impulse, thus disrupting the rhythm of the entire plan.

Only when everything is ready and the time is ripe will he personally step onto the battlefield and begin the final battle that will determine the fate of the universe.

Wes's ship landed on N-998, which was within the Nova Corps' protection zone.

Looking up, this planet, while not as prosperous as the dazzling Xandar, is still much better than most planets in the universe.

The sky here is as blue as a jewel, the clouds are as white as snow, the land is shaded by green trees, and the river flows gently.

In the city, buildings are arranged in a staggered manner, and technology and nature coexist harmoniously.

On the streets, people are busy yet fulfilled, their faces beaming with hope and anticipation for life.

However, Wes never expected that he would encounter an "acquaintance" on this seemingly ordinary planet.
