Chapter 373 The Fall of Washington

With a sharp whistling sound piercing the sky, Tony's Iron Man team, under the precise control of the intelligent butler Jarvis, arrived at the scene with lightning speed.

One after another, steel armored vehicles streaked through the air in silver trails, their metal shells gleaming coldly in the sunlight, the roar of their engines deafening.

Upon seeing this, the president's extremely tense nerves relaxed slightly. He took a deep breath, and a glimmer of hope rekindled in his eyes.

"Mr. Erwin..."

The president was about to say something, trying to use the intimidation of the arrival of the steel troops to negotiate with Wes and get him to stop this crazy behavior.

However, Wes completely ignored him, simply extending a finger and gently pointing it at the steel troops in the air.

A mysterious and deep black hole appeared out of nowhere, and the space around the hole was distorted.

Those imposing steel troops in the air were being pulled by an invisible, powerful force, involuntarily flying rapidly towards the black hole.

Once sucked into the black hole, the Iron Man armor emitted a sickening metallic twisting sound, instantly being squeezed and torn into a pile of useless scrap metal, which fell from the sky and scattered on the ground, vanishing in the blink of an eye.

The president's heart, which had just been at ease, instantly jumped into his throat again. His eyes widened, and he stared in horror at the unbelievable scene before him, his body trembling uncontrollably.

"Mr. Alvin, I don't think you want things to escalate beyond repair, right?"

The president struggled to control his trembling voice, his tone pleading as he tried to find another way to reach a compromise with Weiss.

"I'll find a way to find the person who's against you, don't worry..."

The president's words carried a hint of urgency, and his eyes were full of expectation, hoping to calm Weiss down.

However, can the promises of politicians be trusted?

The answer is, of course, no. At this critical moment,

The president's promises are more like a stopgap measure to protect himself, and have no credibility whatsoever.

Weiss remained unmoved, his eyes still radiating coldness, ignoring the president's words.

"Frozen".

A powerful magical force emanated from him and rapidly spread outwards.

Frost began to spread across the ground, freezing everything in its path. Flowers, grass, and trees were instantly encased in a layer of crystal-clear ice, losing their original vitality.

A biting wind howled up, like the wailing of ghosts and howling of wolves, raging through the streets and alleys of Washington, rattling doors and windows. Pedestrians on the street shivered from the sudden cold and fled in all directions in search of shelter from the wind.

The force of the frost and cold wind did not stop there, but continued to spread outward at an alarming speed, soon sweeping across the entire Washington area.

Skyscrapers were covered in frost, vehicles on the streets were frozen, and the entire city had become a frigid, icy hell.

"The real show is just beginning."

Weiss stood on the frost-covered Washington land, speaking softly with a blank expression.

As a highly influential superpower in the world, the United States' every move attracts the attention of countries around the world. Now, such a significant and unusual event has occurred in its capital, Washington, D.C., which has shocked the world.

Like sharks smelling blood, countless news media outlets around the world sprang into action. Reporters from major television stations, newspapers, and online media outlets did everything they could to rush to Washington as soon as possible, hoping to uncover exclusive firsthand information and deliver this shocking news to eagerly awaiting audiences around the world.

Meanwhile, intelligence agencies from various countries were also busy. They secretly dispatched their most elite agents to infiltrate Washington, attempting to uncover the truth from all angles and find out exactly what caused the city to fall into such a desperate situation.

"The BBC reports that Washington is completely..."

On the television screen, almost every channel was filled with news about Washington.

In the scene, Washington, D.C., which was once bustling and lively, now resembles a desolate ice city. The towering buildings are covered with thick ice, and the streets are a vast expanse of white. There are no cars or people as usual, only the biting cold wind raging through the empty streets, blowing up shards of ice.

The anchors, with tone ranging from shock to seriousness, described the terrible situation the city was facing to the world, while the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen constantly updated various newly acquired fragments of information. Even so, people were still completely clueless about what was happening in Washington, filled with doubts and speculations.

Those forces within the United States that are usually at odds with the government and are waiting to see it fail are now standing by with a schadenfreude attitude, just waiting to see how this drama will unfold.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Meanwhile, those countries that are hostile to the United States have seen an opportunity and are eager to make their move. Some have begun to subtly criticize the United States in international public opinion, mocking its current predicament.

Some secretly adjusted their military deployments, preparing to take actions that would benefit them at the right time, attempting to gain more from the chaos.

The United States was in complete chaos at this time, and the frozen state of Washington brought the country's entire operating mechanism to an instant paralysis.

Whether it's the White House, which symbolizes supreme power, Congress, which usually formulates various policies and regulations, or even the Pentagon, which controls military power, none of them can send out any messages at this moment, and their communication with the outside world is almost completely cut off.

The two parties, already fraught with contradictions, are now even more embroiled in a chaotic situation of mutual accusations and endless arguments, with neither able to come up with an effective solution.

The military high command was also caught up in this sudden turn of events. Trapped in Washington, they were unable to exert any command function, leaving the army leaderless and in great chaos.

Faced with this situation, no one knew what to do or how to deal with this terrifying situation that was completely beyond their comprehension.

Within the military, serious divisions emerged, with some advocating for a direct invasion of Washington and a solution by force. They believed that a strong military might be able to deter Weiss.

Others, however, felt that peace talks were the wiser choice when facing Wes, who was so powerful and possessed godlike abilities.

After all, freezing an entire state as large as Washington is no human feat; it's a power only legendary gods possess.

Using force rashly could lead to even more terrible consequences.

The United States is like a giant ship that has lost its helmsman in a raging storm, slowly and precariously heading toward an unknown abyss.
