Chapter 391 Prisoners
Chapter 391 Prisoners
"What does this have to do with what you did?"
Steve frowned, a hint of wariness and doubt in his eyes. He felt that Wes had led him astray. He had originally come to question Wes about the reasons for his cruel actions, but now he had been drawn into a topic of a cosmic crisis that concerned the survival of the entire Earth.
This made him vaguely uneasy, as if Wess had a deeper purpose, which they just hadn't figured out yet.
"It has nothing to do with me, I just wanted to let you know this news."
Wes remained calm, his composed demeanor making it impossible to discern his true thoughts, as if he were merely a simple messenger.
But Tony and Steve both knew very well that things couldn't be that simple. This man was hiding too many secrets, and they couldn't possibly tell whether his words were true or false.
Tony and Steve exchanged a glance, both seeing confusion and doubt in each other's eyes. They didn't know what Wes meant.
At that moment, a thought suddenly flashed through Tony's mind: he was so close to Wes now, and it seemed that Wes was all alone around. This might be a rare opportunity.
Thinking of this, Tony quietly stepped on his shoe, triggering a mechanism hidden in the sole.
In an instant, countless nanobots surged out like a tidal wave. They moved and combined rapidly in the air, covering Tony's entire body in the blink of an eye and assembling into a suit of armor that shone with a metallic luster. The energy patterns on the armor shimmered with a ghostly blue light, accumulating powerful strength.
"Full power output!"
Tony silently gave the command in his mind, and the next moment, a dazzling beam of light gathered in the palm of the armor and shot straight toward Wes, so fast that it seemed to destroy everything in front of him in an instant.
However, Weiss simply opened one arm without any haste, and that seemingly casual movement had a magical effect.
As the powerful beam of light approached Wes, it seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, slowly gathering in his hand and finally transforming into a small energy ball that floated quietly above his palm.
Tony's all-out attack was so easily neutralized that not even a ripple appeared. This scene left Tony and Steve wide-eyed, filled with shock and disbelief.
"Tony, the materials on Earth limit you; even in the entire universe, you are an extremely intelligent person."
Wes looked at Tony with a hint of appreciation in his eyes. He truly recognized Tony's intelligence and understood that with Tony's abilities, he would shine even brighter in the wider universe. However, Tony was currently limited by the materials available on Earth and had not yet reached higher levels of technology.
Wes had no intention of killing Tony and Steve. In his plan, the two would play a significant role later. So, with a simple wave of his hand, a gentle yet irresistible force stripped Tony of his armor, scattering the nanobots across the ground, stripping them of their original forms.
Then, the door to the room slowly opened, and Wes gestured for them to enter, saying in a calm tone, "You are welcome to look around."
Tony and Steve looked at each other, completely baffled as to what Wes was up to, their hearts filled with doubt and unease.
"We haven't spoken yet."
Steve was about to say something when Wes, no longer wanting to listen to their nonsense, waved his hand, and a powerful force struck. The two men had no time to resist and were sent flying backward, heading straight for the door.
Immediately afterwards, the door slammed shut, shutting them out.
"What should we do now?"
Steve stood up, dusted himself off, and looked at Tony blankly, completely at a loss.
Just as they were at a loss, Seraph Hawkeye walked over. His face remained expressionless, but he bluntly ordered, "Follow me, the Doctor wants to see you."
Tony and Steve exchanged a glance, and an idea instantly formed in their minds. Tony whispered, "Follow them and gather some information."
Steve nodded slightly, and the two silently followed behind Seraph Hawkeye as they left the mage tower.
Along the way, they passed by the tribe of the Black Dwarf. They saw the tall, dark-skinned Black Dwarfs busy in the tribe. Some of them were forging strangely shaped weapons. The scene of sparks flying was full of primitive and rugged atmosphere.
Some sat together, seemingly discussing something, their low voices creating a mysterious and dangerous atmosphere.
Tony was very interested in them, his eyes shining with curiosity. He had never seen such a peculiar alien race before, and he had already begun to think about their lifestyle, fighting style, and other information. However, he also knew that now was not the time to delve into their details, so he could only suppress his curiosity for the time being and continue to follow the Seraphim Hawkeye.
Continuing westward, after passing through a lush forest, the sight before them suddenly stunned Tony and Steve.
What unfolded before them was a futuristic city built by Vegapunk, a spectacular sight that seemed to have stepped out of a science fiction movie.
In the city, various high-tech instruments are emerging one after another, and a huge energy shield shimmers in the sky above the city, enveloping the entire city and playing a protective role.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
On the streets, intelligent robots move about in an orderly manner, some cleaning and others transporting various supplies. Their actions are efficient and precise, without the slightest error.
In the sky, uniquely designed aircraft streaked across the horizon, leaving behind dazzling trails of light and shadow. These were the city residents' means of transportation, moving at speeds that were breathtaking.
Pacifistas patrolled every corner of the city, their tall, metallic bodies radiating a cold aura, their red eyes constantly scanning their surroundings with vigilance, ready to react immediately to any unusual activity.
In the heart of the city lies Vegapunk's research institute, a towering building with a streamlined appearance and a metallic sheen.
Compared to the wild tribes we had passed through before, this place was a completely different world, forming a stark contrast that made us marvel at the enormous differences.
"This is definitely not Earth; such a place doesn't exist on Earth."
Tony said decisively, his eyes filled with amazement and curiosity. He observed everything around him while quickly analyzing the technological principles used in the city, trying to find something he could use for his own purposes.
"That's right, this is a world created by the adults." Seraph Hawkeye explained simply, his tone carrying a hint of reverence for Wes.
To these seraphim, Wes was their god, omnipotent, who created such a wondrous world. In their eyes, this was not something difficult to understand.
"Create a world??" Steve's eyes widened in disbelief. "That's something only a god could do."
