Chapter 51 Mermaid
Chapter 51 Mermaid
On the turbulent sea, a ghost ship named "Queen Anna's Revenge" sails slowly, the legendary vessel belonging to the great pirate Blackbeard.
A massive skeleton, meticulously pieced together from human bones, stands at the bow of the ship. Its empty eye sockets stare at passing vessels, emanating a chilling aura and telling the world of the countless acts of bloodshed and atrocities it has witnessed.
Inside the ship's cabin, human heads hung in every corner, their expressions varied—some ferocious, some in pain. These silent decorations enveloped the entire ship in a suffocating atmosphere of terror.
This ship is not only a symbol of Blackbeard's ambition and brutality, but also a sanctuary for his mysterious identity. Although the pirates on board are fierce, none of them have ever seen Blackbeard's true face.
Blackbeard always kept himself hidden in the captain's cabin, shrouded in mystery, and his orders were only conveyed through his first mate and those terrifying resurrected corpses.
Although these resurrected corpses moved stiffly, they possessed a certain intimidating power, and their presence made the pirates on the ship feel uneasy at all times.
Although the pirates harbored doubts about the captain's true identity, Blackbeard's reputation firmly bound their minds, preventing them from having any thoughts of rebellion.
However, this calm did not last long.
One day, the door to the captain's cabin was kicked open from the inside, and the sudden loud noise instantly attracted the attention of everyone on board.
"step on……"
"step on……"
"step on……"
Heavy footsteps echoed on the deck, and a bearded man appeared before them.
His face was obscured by a thick beard, revealing only a pair of sharp and gloomy eyes.
The pirates who were swept by his sharp, sword-like gaze immediately lowered their heads, not daring to meet his eyes, as if they would be instantly devoured if they met his gaze.
The man with the black beard smashed the bottle in his hand, the sound of shattering glass particularly jarring in the silent air.
Immediately afterwards, he drew the Triton sword from his waist, its blade gleaming coldly in the dim light.
Suddenly, the boat began to move on its own without wind, speeding away like an arrow released from a bow.
The pirates on the ship were thrown about and into chaos by the sudden acceleration.
"Stand up, you scum!" The black-bearded man's voice roared like it came from hell. "From this moment on, there will be no rest."
"Captain, where are we headed?" a pirate mustered his courage and asked.
However, the response he received was a vicious lash from the resurrected corpse, the whip like the tentacles of death, mercilessly striking his body.
"Keep heading east, and don't stop without my order!" The black-bearded man's voice echoed across the deck; his mood was at its worst.
It turns out that the resurrected corpse sent to protect the daughter brought back bad news: Jack Sparrow and his daughter had been captured by the mysterious wizard.
Blackbeard knew that he absolutely needed Jack Sparrow to find the Fountain of Youth.
Fortunately, he had a backup plan. The black-bearded man took out a doll shaped like Angelica, which he had meticulously crafted using witchcraft. The doll faced east, the direction where Angelica was.
"The Fountain of Youth is mine!" That terrible prophecy became Blackbeard's death knell. He made up his mind that no matter what the cost, he would find the Fountain of Youth to extend his life and break that damned prophecy.
Meanwhile, Hector Barbosa's British navy, along with the Spanish royal fleet, was making a grand march toward Whitecap Bay.
Weiss was the first to arrive at Whitecap Bay, when the sun was high in the sky, radiating intense heat.
"Mermaids hunt at night or on foggy days."
"Jack Sparrow said."
He hasn't stopped for a moment since yesterday.
"Let's dock."
After docking the boat, Jack Sparrow planned to relax a bit, since it was still early before dark.
With the help of the magic potion, he didn't feel tired at all after the night's exertion.
"Are all pirates as unrestrained as you?"
"Who knows if we'll even be alive tomorrow? Let's enjoy life while we can." Jack Sparrow wasn't ashamed at all; on the contrary, he was proud, a carefree smile on his face.
It got dark very quickly.
Jack Sparrow emerged from the cabin looking refreshed, with Angelica quietly following behind him.
"So, how do you plan to catch those mermaids?"
Wes stood on the deck without saying a word, silently lowering a small boat into the sea, then taking out four scarecrows and muttering incantations.
They were originally shriveled and unremarkable, but under his whispered incantation, the scarecrows gradually swelled up and eventually transformed into four lifelike pirates.
Wes jumped onto the small boat, and the scarecrows, transformed into pirates, surrounded him in the center. They slowly rowed with their oars, and the boat glided silently across the sea.
The kerosene lamp in Weiss's hand emitted a soft light, illuminating the surrounding area for several meters.
Angelica, who remained on the ship, then encouraged Jack Sparrow to escape.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
"Jack, let's take this opportunity to escape."
"What do we do about the witchcraft on us?" Jack Sparrow's voice was hesitant as his gaze lingered between Angelica and the distant sea.
"I will ask my father to help break the spell," Angelica said eagerly.
"Blackbeard??" Jack Sparrow scoffed. "Come on, I'd rather believe this wizard."
Just as Angelica was about to continue persuading him, an alluring song suddenly drifted from the sea.
The melody was like gentle waves, lapping against the shore of the soul.
The song contains endless tenderness, as if it can soothe all pain and weariness.
"They're here!" Wes whispered.
Even Angelica was drawn to the mermaid's song.
A mermaid lay on the stern of the boat, her elfin face and expressive eyes capable of captivating most men.
Unfortunately, this was like throwing a wink at a blind man—a complete waste of effort.
Suddenly, a scarecrow made a move, swiftly and accurately strangling the mermaid's neck, before quickly reverting to its original scarecrow form.
The mermaid immediately removed her disguise, revealing sharp teeth, and let out a threatening roar.
The mermaid's roar conveyed a message, and the group of mermaids began to frantically ram the small boat. Some mermaids threw out ropes made of seaweed, which they used to lasso the scarecrow's neck and drag it into the sea.
However, when the mermaids realized that what they had dragged into the water was a scarecrow, they immediately sensed something was wrong, but it was too late.
Wes touched the surface of the sea with his wand, and frost quickly spread.
Five mermaids who couldn't escape were frozen to the surface of the sea. They desperately pounded on the ice, trying to break it, but to no avail. The other mermaids wanted to come to their rescue, but fearing they would fall into a trap, they only dared to watch from afar.
"Luckily, five fish have taken the bait." Wes walked calmly on the ice.
The mermaid put on a pitiful look and pleaded softly. Wes remained unmoved, knowing that beneath the beautiful exteriors of these mermaids lay extreme danger; they were man-eaters.
Wes took out a bottle and tapped it gently with his wand.
The bottle emitted a powerful suction force, drawing the five mermaids inside.
Five shrunken mermaids frantically pounded on the glass bottle, shouting loudly, but the bottle was so soundproof that not a single sound came out.
Wes put the bottle back in his pocket with satisfaction.
Thanks, brothers! I hope those with monthly tickets will support me financially, and those with recommendation tickets will support me emotionally. Thank you so much!
