Chapter 52 The Holy Grail Arrives
Chapter 52 The Holy Grail Arrives
Wes used Apparition, and in a barely perceptible magical fluctuation, Wes's figure returned to the deck.
In that instant, the surrounding air seemed to distort slightly at his arrival, and his figure appeared before Jack Sparrow like a ghost.
This sudden turn of events really startled Jack Sparrow, and in his panic, he tore off several of his whiskers.
"Let's go," Wes commanded expressionlessly.
"Yes, sir." Jack Sparrow hurriedly and obediently went to take the helm.
His movements were slightly flustered, clearly not yet fully recovered from the shock he had just experienced. He strode to the helm and gripped it tightly with both hands.
"Thank goodness I didn't listen to you and run away; he can teleport."
Jack Sparrow said to Angelica with lingering fear.
"I didn't expect that either."
Angelica's voice trembled slightly, her heart filled with lingering fear. She gripped Jack Sparrow's arm tightly, seeking a moment of comfort.
"I know you mean well, honey, but will you please follow my instructions from now on?"
Jack Sparrow gently comforted her, taking Angelica's hand in his.
The ship quickly left Whitecap Bay and headed towards the mysterious island where the legendary Fountain of Youth is located.
The waves crashed against the hull, creating a roar that heralded their adventure.
A few hours later, the Queen Anne's Revenge also arrived at Whitecap Bay.
The man with the black beard stood at the bow of the ship, his sharp eyes scrutinizing everything around him.
Looking at the still partially melted ice and the broken boat, a thoughtful expression appeared on his weathered face.
Based on his years of sailing experience, Blackbeard quickly made a judgment based on the remaining traces.
"They've already been here, and they've already captured the mermaid."
The black-bearded man's voice was deep and powerful, proclaiming an undeniable fact.
Just then, a group of mermaids appeared on the sea. Their beauty and mystery were captivating, but their eyes were filled with anger and hatred.
They charged toward the Queen Anna's Revenge, intending to capsize it and avenge their captured kin.
However, they chose the wrong target for their revenge.
The pirates on the ship quickly picked up their muskets and aimed their cannons at them, ready to fire as soon as the mermaids got close.
But Blackbeard didn't want to waste time. A hint of impatience flashed in his eyes, and he swung the Triton sword.
"Boom!" With a loud bang, the flamethrower on the bow spewed out flames, which, like a ferocious beast, instantly covered the sea in front of it.
The mermaid at the front couldn't dodge in time and was engulfed by the flames, letting out a chilling scream.
The screams echoed across the sea, seemingly piercing the very soul. Even the most ruthless pirates couldn't help but show pity upon hearing them.
"Speed up, you scum!" Blackbeard commanded, his voice booming like thunder across the ship. "What are you all standing there for? Don't waste my time."
By this time, the pirates on the ship were exhausted. They had been sailing for a whole day without a moment's rest.
A pirate stepped forward, his face etched with exhaustion: "Captain Teach, we haven't had a rest since we set sail."
"Oh." The black-bearded man glanced around and said coldly, "So you want to rest."
"That's right, we're exhausted," the pirates echoed.
"We are not your slaves!" More and more pirates demanded that Blackbeard give them some rest.
"Ha~ha~ha~" Blackbeard laughed, his laughter full of sarcasm. "You want to rest? Of course, no problem."
The pirates clapped their hands in celebration, thinking their demands had been met.
However, Blackbeard's face suddenly darkened, and he stroked the hilt of his sword with his right hand.
Suddenly, as if brought to life, the ropes on the ship wrapped around the necks of the first few pirates who had spoken, hoisting them up.
The pirates struggled for a few moments before dying, and were then thrown into the sea.
The surrounding mermaids swarmed forward and dismembered them, staining the sea red with blood.
"Who needs a break now!"
The black-bearded man's voice rang out again, his brutality deterring the pirates from resisting. They rowed their oars with all their might, fearing they would be the next to be hanged.
The Queen Anna's Revenge also left Whitecap Bay, with the mermaids lagging behind unwillingly. Blackbeard ordered the pirates to drop several barrels of ignited explosives, killing a few more of the pursuing mermaids.
The remaining mermaids could only watch them leave resentfully.
As the waves gently lapped at the shore, the British naval fleet slowly sailed through the area, finding nothing unusual on the surface.
Instead of launching an impulsive attack as before, the mermaids chose to silently dive into the deep sea, avoiding potential conflict.
Meanwhile, Wes and his two companions had already arrived at the mysterious island.
The island is covered with lush vegetation, with verdant trees and dense grass completely covering the roads built by previous inhabitants.
Jack Sparrow led the way, wielding his knife and slicing through the vines blocking his path.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
"Wizard, why don't you use your magical powers? That way we can find Juan Ponce de Leon's Holy Grail as soon as possible."
Jack Sparrow slapped the mosquito that was sucking his blood and complained.
Angelica was soaked in sweat, her hair clinging wetly to her face.
The jungle is hot and humid, and teeming with poisonous creatures. One wrong move and you could lose your life.
Weiss wore a long robe, yet not a single drop of sweat fell from his eyes.
Even more strangely, all the snakes, insects, and rodents on the island swarmed around Wes and didn't come near him at all.
This was all thanks to the robe, which was made from the skin of a basilisk and carried its scent. Naturally, these ordinary animals wouldn't approach Wes.
The robe also possesses extremely high magical defense, and after Wes's refining, it has become a powerful alchemical artifact.
The three of them were indeed moving too slowly. On this tropical rainforest island, it would be extremely difficult for an ordinary person to take even one step.
"I'll lead the way." Wes and Jack Sparrow switched places, with Wes walking in front.
It's unclear what kind of magic Wes used, but as soon as he got close, the flowers, plants, and trees in front of him would all part to make way for him, creating a narrow path for one person to pass through.
Jack Sparrow sheathed his knife, unfazed by the bizarre scene: "You should have done this sooner."
The three of them walked unimpeded to a cliff, where a suspension bridge that had long since broken stood before them.
This couldn't stop Wes. He whispered a levitation spell, and the three of them floated in mid-air.
Having already experienced it once, Jack Sparrow wasn't flustered; on the contrary, he thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of flying.
Angelica screamed in panic, her sharp voice startling a flock of birds away.
The three of them safely reached the other side. Angelica leaned against a large tree to catch her breath.
After passing through a small path, you'll see a ship.
"That's the Santiago," Jack Sparrow said, pointing to the ship perched precariously on a rock pillar. "It's said to contain all the treasure Juan Ponce de León acquired during his adventures."
Wes wasn't interested in treasure; getting money was a simple matter for him now.
"The Holy Grail, come here!" Wes used the Summoning Charm. The sound of objects colliding could be heard from inside the ship.
"Whoosh~"
"Whoosh~"
The two Holy Grails burst through the ship's cabin and flew into Wes's hands.
