Chapter 542

Fate—just two words, yet countless people have frequently uttered them.

When faced with the helplessness of life, people sigh at the capriciousness of fate;

When faced with setbacks, one may lament the unfairness of fate;

When faced with an unknown future, one can also regard it as a source of comfort and solace for the soul.

However, when these two words were slowly uttered by Jesus, they seemed to be infused with a mysterious and powerful force, and given a completely different and heavy weight.

Jesus, as the Son of God in the Trinity, is undeniably divine.

He has long been regarded as a symbol of light, representing holiness, love and redemption.

But few people know that Jesus also made unimaginable achievements in exploring and comprehending the laws of destiny. He went extremely far on this path and reached a height that is difficult for others to reach.

Among the many deities, no pantheon can surpass God in the profound and mysterious realm of destiny.

His understanding and control over fate is like an invisible yet incredibly powerful net, with countless tiny threads that subtly influence the development and direction of all things in the world, and nothing can escape its grasp.

He possesses the ability to foresee many future events. Take David's invasion of Heaven, for example; to outsiders, it seemed like a sudden crisis without warning.

But in reality, all of this was within Jesus's expectations.

He stood like a supreme ruler, firmly on the high ground of destiny, clearly observing the development and changes at every crucial juncture with an air of looking down upon all living beings.

In his eyes, everything in the world was like a script he had carefully written, and the actions of every character and the occurrence of every event were all under his control.

"@#¥#"

A string of vicious hellish curses gushed from Mephisto's mouth, his voice low and filled with deep resentment, as if it were the angry roar from the depths of his heart, trying to vent all the dissatisfaction and anger that had accumulated in his heart.

Jesus, however, remained completely oblivious, maintaining his calm and composed demeanor, his face showing no emotion whatsoever.

"When the Black Death Sword was first created..."

Jesus spoke slowly, a hint of reminiscence in his eyes, as if he had traveled through time back to that era filled with terror and bloodshed.

He recalled the terrifying scene when the symbiotic god Knull wielded the Black Death Sword. At that time, wherever the Black Death Sword went, countless gods fell, their blood staining the sky red, and their wails echoing throughout the entire universe.

That was a history that terrified all the gods, becoming an eternal nightmare in their hearts.

Although Gnar was eventually sealed away, the Black Death Sword remained like the Sword of Damocles hanging over the heads of the gods, a constant threat to their rule and peace, like a bomb that could explode at any moment, unsure when it would cause disaster again.

"God prophesied that the Black Death Sword would descend upon Heaven."

Jesus continued, his voice steady and strong.

"So Heaven has been preparing for this day all along."

It turns out that Heaven was already aware of the potential threat posed by the Black Death Sword and had been secretly preparing and devising a series of countermeasures.

They had been waiting for this day to come.

"It's not Nar who's arrived, but a new host."

Jesus narrowed his eyes slightly.

"David is very good, but he's not comparable to Nar."

Although David, wielding the Black Death Sword, caused considerable trouble for Heaven, plunging it into a brief period of chaos and crisis, his strength was still significantly inferior to that of the former Gnar.

As Mephisto listened to Jesus's narration, shock and anger surged within him like a tidal wave.

He never imagined that Heaven had such a meticulous plan all along, while he had been kept in the dark and manipulated like a fool.

He began to re-examine the current situation, quickly thinking about how to deal with the various changes that might occur and looking for a way out that would be advantageous to him.

The three of them arrived at a waterfall, and the magnificent sight immediately came into their view.

Rather than calling it an ordinary waterfall, it would be more accurate to describe it as a vast ocean cascading from the sky.

The water flowed with tremendous force, like a wild horse breaking free of its reins, cascading down from the heights with a deafening roar, as if it wanted to drown the entire world in this endless clamor.

"This is??"

Wes' eyes widened in shock and confusion, his face filled with disbelief.

I quickly looked closely and was shocked to realize that it wasn't real water at all.

Each drop of substance, which looks like a water droplet, is actually an extremely pure power of faith. They emit a soft yet powerful light, like a dazzling star.

Such a vast amount of faith power is truly unimaginable.

I don't know how many long years of accumulation and sedimentation this has undergone, or how many believers' utmost devotion and prayers it embodies.

These forces of faith seemed to come alive, converging in the air to form this magnificent waterfall, as if telling the world about the past glory and power of heaven, a history full of honor and holiness.

Mephisto was also deeply moved by the shocking scene before him. He opened his mouth slightly, a greedy glint in his eyes, as if he saw an endless treasure right in front of him.

In Hell, he was all too aware of the importance of the power of faith. If he could harness such a vast amount of faith power, his strength would be greatly enhanced, and he might even be able to dominate the entire Hell.

But he also knew in his heart that this was the core of Heaven, and to try to obtain these precious powers of faith was harder than climbing to heaven.

Jesus stood quietly to one side, watching their reactions, a faint smile on his face that revealed confidence and composure.

"This is one of the foundations of Heaven. For countless years, the faith of believers has been gathered here, providing Heaven with an inexhaustible source of power."

"Look," Jesus' voice was calm yet powerful, drawing the attention of Mephisto and Wes.

Wes looked in the direction Jesus was pointing and saw a huge array radiating a soft light beneath the magnificent waterfall of faith power.

The array's patterns are intricate and mysterious, each line seemingly containing boundless power, constantly shimmering with strange brilliance.

At the center of the formation, a dazzling crystal floats, completely transparent yet radiating multicolored light, as if it has condensed all the colors of the world into it.
