Chapter 83 Trial

Before these icy weapons could even get close to O'Connor, they were vaporized by an incredibly powerful force and vanished without a trace.

A suffocating sense of oppression filled the air.

"Outsider," O'Connor stared blankly at Wes, her eyes empty and pupil-less, "are you going to interfere?"

His voice sounded authoritative, as if his words were the law, and no one could disobey them.

Wes felt a chill run down his spine; he could sense the power emanating from O'Connor. It was a power beyond that of ordinary people; O'Connor was no longer an ordinary person.

Wes wasn't surprised at all that his identity had been exposed, nor was he afraid of O'Connor, who had been divinely summoned. Although O'Connor's power had increased dramatically after the divine summoning, it was still far from enough to make Wes feel fear.

The power that gods can unleash has a threshold. This is an extremely rare opportunity to challenge a god.

Weiss decided to go all out.

He slowly lowered his hands, and seemingly casually, as if by magic, thirteen differently colored spheres floated out from his sleeves, each sphere radiating light. They hovered and danced in mid-air, their light illuminating the interior of the underground palace.

Eight of the spheres emitted different beams of light, launching a fierce attack on O'Connor.

There was a chilling, icy light that seemed to freeze the air instantly, creating a thin layer of frost.

There were intense flames, and the raging fire seemed to be burning everything to ashes;

There were also waves of strange beams that could instantly petrify people.

O'Connor showed no fear, effortlessly fending off Wes's attacks.

He plunged his greatsword into the ground, and instantly, a powerful shockwave emanated from the sword, spreading outwards like an unstoppable storm, obliterating Wes's attack.

Wes was thrown back by the powerful force and couldn't help but take a few steps back.

Immediately afterward, O'Connor vanished from her spot and reappeared behind Wes, her longsword flashing like lightning as she thrust towards Wes's back.

Wes reacted just as quickly, the five spheres rapidly forming a pentagram, instantly creating a magical shield that firmly blocked O'Connor's fatal blow.

Six black chains, like venomous snakes, coiled around O'Connor's limbs and head from all sides. Wes chanted an incantation, and as he did, the chains tightened, binding O'Connor tightly.

O'Connor raised his hand, looked calmly at the chains, and made no move.

The next second, flames suddenly erupted from his body, and the temperature of the chains rose sharply, beginning to burn.

In just a few moments, the six chains were burned to ashes.

"Divine Strike Without a Trace." Wes's wand sliced through the air with a sharp sound, and a piercing beam of light shot towards O'Connor like a sword.

O'Connor raised his longsword and swung it, shattering Wes's attack once again.

But by this point, O'Connor seemed to have lost patience.

Golden flames began to burn around his body, as dazzling as the sun and radiating powerful energy.

Seeing this, Wes hurriedly used a Freeze Spell to try and extinguish the flames. However, the Freeze Spell had no effect; the golden flames continued to burn fiercely, seemingly unstoppable.

However, O'Connor did not direct his attacks at Wes; his targets were only Ansuna and Imhotep.

O'Connor's longsword, wreathed in golden flames, slashed fiercely at the two of them with overwhelming force.

Seeing this, Imhotep hurriedly raised his arms to defend himself, but the longsword cut through him like a hot knife through butter, its momentum undiminished. Just as it was about to strike Imhotep's head, Ansunna stepped forward without hesitation, blocking his path. With a dull thud, Ansunna was cleanly cleaved in two by the longsword, her two halves falling to the ground.

"No!!" Imhotep roared in despair as he frantically thrashed about on Ansukuna's body, casting some kind of mysterious spell in an attempt to piece her back together.

However, no matter how hard he tried, Ansuona showed no reaction and lay quietly on the ground, looking like a broken doll.

Ansu-na sacrificed herself once again to protect Imhotep.

Imhotep's face was contorted with pain and despair as he clutched Ansuna's body tightly, his entire world collapsing in that instant.

"Ah!!" Imhotep roared to the sky in utter grief and rage, "Why!!"

"Sinner." O'Connor raised his longsword high, the tip of which burned with a fierce golden flame.

Imhotep held Ansu'na's corpse, his body gradually turning into sand. Inside the dungeon, as he transformed, a massive sandstorm gradually formed, with howling winds and swirling dust filling the sky, resembling a scene from the apocalypse.

This was Imhotep's desperate strike, his last chance. Even if he couldn't kill "He", he wanted to inflict a serious injury on "He" to earn a shred of dignity for himself and his lover.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

However, O'Connor merely opened his palm slightly, and everything was under his control.

As if summoned by a mysterious force, the sand and dust gathered in his palm, gradually forming a small ball. Then, he gently clenched his fist; the seemingly casual movement contained immense power, instantly neutralizing Imhotep's attack.

Imhotep held Ansuna tightly. This final blow had exhausted all his strength, and he now looked like a skeleton, emaciated and lifeless.

"Accept the final judgment, sinner!" O'Connor's voice was cold and authoritative as his longsword flashed out like lightning, its power unmatched.

"No one can judge me." As the words fell, Imhotep and Ansulna's bodies turned into yellow sand and vanished in the breeze.

The longsword missed its mark, and O'Connor's face remained expressionless, but Wes could clearly sense the anger within him—a rage born of provocation.

O'Connor turned her gaze to Weiss.

[It's coming!] A strong sense of crisis welled up in Wes's heart.

He immediately mobilized all his magical power, preparing to meet the impending attack.

However, reality caught him off guard.

The golden flames burning on O'Connor's body dissipated, and she immediately returned to normal.

"What happened to me?" O'Connor had no recollection of what had just happened. He only felt extremely weak, as if all his strength had been drained, and collapsed to the ground.
