Chapter 40 Daisy

Inside the carriage, Klein was intently calculating the divination positions. Taking advantage of this brief moment, Philip proactively mentioned to Sega, "Ms. Sega, after learning what one of the people in question looked like from Klein, I realized I recognize him."

"You know him?" Sica's expression remained calm, even somewhat cold. She tucked her long white hair behind her ear and asked, "How much do you know about him?"

"Tyl, Sequence 7 of the Rose School, 'Werewolf'." Philip recalled the memories in his mind, involuntarily leaning forward and hugging his arms, revealing everything he knew without any concealment:

"He possesses some dark magic, powerful self-healing abilities, terrifying speed and strength, claws and teeth comparable to extraordinary weapons, and even poisonous. In addition, he can sacrifice his sanity to gain further physical enhancements."

After listening to Philip's words, there was no sound in the carriage for more than ten seconds.

The carriage continued to jolt along, but the "Midnight Poet," who had been an extraordinary being for countless years, showed no fear. Instead, he calmly said:

"Then we need to prepare for the worst. The remaining extraordinary individual is very likely to be a Sequence 7 as well, and we cannot rule out an even higher possibility."

After saying this, she looked at the two young men sitting opposite her, who were at most in their early twenties, and said with a slight parting of her thin lips, "When we arrive at the scene later, I will have Caesar seek help from the Punisher team. You two should try your best to avoid putting yourselves in danger."

Philip snapped out of his daze, looked at the woman before him, forced a smile, and said as calmly as possible, "I will. No one doesn't cherish their own life, but I will also do my best to help you."

Sika nodded and said nothing more.

Outside of Tingen.

The whooshing sound of the steam train grew louder as it approached, faintly reaching his ears. The towering mountains in the distance and the two figures standing ahead made Dunn Smith, hiding in the shadows, narrow his eyes slightly.

"It's about time to come out."

Tyr tilted his head, tugged at his ear with his fingers, and stared at the dense forest not far away, saying with barely concealed excitement, "If it weren't to avoid attracting the extraordinary squads of the three major churches, we would have dealt with you back then."

Jason, who had remained silent throughout, was the first to lose his composure. Frost began to form on the soles of his feet and gradually spread outwards. As the air temperature dropped, beautiful and dreamlike snowflakes began to dance gently in the air.

A few seconds later, Jason held an ice ball radiating icy energy in his hand. However, within this pure white icy energy was a dark green aura that made people hesitate to approach.

The next moment, he gripped the puck tightly, aimed it at a certain direction in the dense forest, and threw it directly out.

boom! boom! boom!

A white streak of light flashed by, accompanied by the sound of trees cracking. Everything around them began to decay at a visible speed, and gradually, Dunn Smith's figure appeared in front of the two men.

He had already taken off his damaged black trench coat. His originally composed demeanor was further enhanced by the black vest and white shirt, making him appear even more capable. The depth in his gray eyes concealed all his emotions, keeping them hidden from others.

"Who are you?"

Upon seeing the man in front of him, who looked to be at least thirty years old, Tyre instinctively didn't think that the other man was the "prisoner" he was looking for, but he still asked a question, unwilling to give up.

"Dunne Smith, captain of the Night Watch squad." Dunne took off his top hat and tossed it aside, the half-high silk hat landing on his trench coat.

Night watchman.

Tyrell's brows twitched uncontrollably, his eyes gradually filled with ferocity and crimson, while Jason, who thought he was about to be free, clenched his fists again, and dark spots began to appear on his pale face.

Dunn squeezed his left and right wrists, saw the two men staring at him menacingly, closed his eyes and sighed softly, then opened his eyes again, his gaze sharpening, and slowly raised his hand.

As he began to act, Jason and Tyre's eyelids suddenly became heavy, but within a few breaths they regained their senses and were disdainful of Dunn's actions.

"Hmph." Tyr snorted coldly, his face full of mockery. "This is the ability of the Sleepless Path 'Nightmare'? Looks good, if your opponent is one of the other trash in Tingen City."

Jason brushed past Tyrell, a few faint black spots now appearing on his face, making him look somewhat menacing. "We have no interest in this wretched place. Just tell me, is there a 'prisoner' here?!"

prisoner

Dunn frowned slightly, not yet understanding what the other person meant, when two gunshots shattered the current situation, followed by shouts from not far away: "Captain!"

Klein brought Philip and Sega here, and behind them, a woman in a black robe stared intently at Dunn with her shimmering emerald eyes. Although he had nothing to do with her, the emotions in her eyes gradually subsided.

"Captain, I've brought 2-105."

Klein approached Dunn's side, cautiously glancing at Jason and Tyrell, still holding the large blood vessel in his hand. "Captain, how do we use this? You didn't tell me before."

Upon hearing this, Dunn, who was about to receive the sealed artifact 2-105, paused for two seconds before simply replying, "Sorry, I..."

He quickly stopped talking, took the sealed artifact, his gaze shifting as if avoiding the black-robed woman's gaze, then looked down at Philip and handed him 2-105: "Lawrence, you're the one to use 'Vein Thief'."

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

"A blood vessel thief?"

Philip took the blood vessel and asked in confusion. Just as he was about to ask about the specific effects, Jason rushed over from the other side.

With each step the opponent took, white frost condensed on the ground, as if freezing everything. The speed gradually increased in this short period of time, producing a fierce whooshing sound.

Dunn saw this scene reflected in his pupils, but he showed no panic. Instead, he said calmly, "Dale, please."

The next moment, several football-sized rocks shot out from the dense forest, accurately hitting Jason on the head as he was rushing towards them. The force of the collision only caused him to fall backward.

"I'm curious," the woman in the black robe, with blue eyeshadow and blush, said softly, glancing at Dunn Smith beside her. "What would you have done now if I hadn't come?"

"It's daytime now."
