Chapter 143 The Real Ian Karl
Chapter 143 The Real Ian Karl
Sony Pictures, CEO's office.
Howard Stringer stared at the WND news with a gloomy expression, his face so dark it seemed like water could drip from it.
After a long pause, he said, "You've messed things up, Brooke."
The assistant standing in front of him shook his head repeatedly: "The opponent is very cunning; he has many trump cards up his sleeve."
"Fuck! That's not the point!" Howard Stringer slammed his fist on the table and yelled angrily, "Now the trouble is on our hands!"
Brooke could only say, "I didn't expect him to be so shameless. Now that things have come to this, I'll try to figure something out..."
"What are you going to do? How are you going to deal with those guys downstairs?!"
Howard Stringer went to the window, drew back the curtains, pointed downstairs, and said, "Look, look at the people down there!"
Downstairs, a group of people held up signs that read "Down with fake news," "Down with the bastards who hurt American heroes," and "Down with the lackeys of terrorists."
The crowd surged, their passion palpable.
Ian Carl is no ordinary person.
He is an American hero.
Now, Sony's collaboration with The New York Times to attack him has instantly sparked public outrage.
Howard Stringer was skeptical that this was truly a spontaneously organized event by the public.
Perhaps Ian Carl was behind it all.
But he had no choice.
Justice is on Ian's side.
That damn bastard, he's got another good story to tell.
Howard Stringer can even imagine that Carr Media reporters are currently frantically taking pictures, documenting their disgraceful behavior.
The media can make others the focus, but if not handled properly, they can become the focus themselves.
This made Howard Stringer feel dizzy as well.
If you lose public support, what will you use to renege on your debts?
Damn it, this is a decision made by Sony headquarters. Why are they making me the one to suffer this trouble?
In that instant, Howard Stringer knew he was in deep trouble.
As dusk fell, the demonstrators finally dispersed.
Howard Stringer went to the garage and got into his car.
Sitting in the back seat, he said, "Let's go home."
"Yes, sir," the driver in the front seat replied softly.
Howard Stringer looked up in surprise: "You're not Barlow?"
The driver smiled and said, "My name is Brideson, your new driver."
As he spoke, he slowly drove the car away. Howard Stringer was shocked and went to open the car door, only to find that the door was already locked.
Bledson chuckled. "That's a good car."
He brandished the gun in his hand, and Howard Stringer stopped what he was doing.
He looked at Bledsson and said, "Ian Carl sent you, didn't he?"
Bledson smiled: "Don't move, cooperate a little, you won't die."
Howard Stringer let out a long sigh of relief.
He didn't know Ian Carl yet, and as far as he was concerned, Ian really didn't need to kill him, even though his current methods were already somewhat...breaking the rules of the game.
However, he soon became nervous again.
After leaving the building, the car drove towards a deserted area and entered a predominantly Black neighborhood.
The car stopped in front of a villa. Bridexson opened the door, and several black gunmen greeted him with smiles: "Welcome to Mischel Street, white man!"
………………
This is Kripps' home, and also the headquarters of the Cripples' Gang.
When Howard Stringer entered, a large group of black gunmen were sitting in the living room drinking and laughing at him.
A gunman led him to the study next door.
Then Howard Stringer saw Ian sitting in the boss's chair behind the desk, with the bald, crippled Kreps sitting on the sofa next to him.
After escorting Howard Stringer inside, the gunman left and silently closed the door.
Ian smiled as he looked at the other person.
Howard Stringer took a deep breath: "You've won, Mr. Carl."
Ian didn't say anything.
He simply got up, picked up a wine glass, took out a bottle of red wine, and poured it in.
Stepping out from behind his desk, he handed Howard Stringer a glass of red wine: "A victory is just a temporary milestone; it only represents a stage in the process. What I want is more. Have a seat."
Howard Stringer took the glass and silently sat down in his seat.
Ian leaned against his desk, smiling at Howard Stringer.
He nodded: "Very calm, not bad."
Howard Stringer forced a bitter smile: "I just believe you're not a cold-blooded killer."
"Then you've misjudged me." Ian nodded to Kreps.
Kreps walked out of the room with a smile.
A moment later, he brought in a mangled, bloody body and threw it on the ground.
Israel's pupils dilated slightly.
Ian laughed. "You know him, don't you? He's the lawyer I hired for Ganlun and the others. He violated his professional ethics, which is very bad."
As he spoke, Ian suddenly smashed the wine glass in his hand into the lawyer's face.
He grabbed the lawyer by the neck and shouted, "Journalists, lawyers, doctors, soldiers... our professions are all sacred! We should be loyal to our cause, loyal to the oaths we take for it, which are the foundation of our achievements! And you, you have desecrated the sanctity that a lawyer should possess!"
The lawyer exclaimed, "Lawyers are not prohibited from disclosing their employers' information!"
"But we have an agreement, and you've violated the basic spirit of the contract!" Ian punched the other man hard in the face.
He grabbed an iron rod and began smashing it down on the lawyer, beating him until he screamed in agony, until blood gushed from his body, until his bones were broken.
Ruthless, cruel, and showing absolutely no mercy!
Howard Stringer watched with trepidation.
The latest novel is first published here!
How could that be?
How could he do such a thing in front of me?
This is the real Ian Carl!!!
After a frenzied beating that left the lawyer on the verge of death, Ian finally dropped the iron rod.
Ian turned to Howard Stringer, a cold smile on his face: "Do you still think I'm just a businessman who talks big?"
Howard Stringer shook his head slightly, trembling. "No, sir, I no longer think so."
"Very good!" Ian walked back to his seat and sat down.
He wiped the blood from his hands with a white cloth on the table, picked up a cigar, took a slow puff, looked at Howard Stringer, and smiled, "I know Sony headquarters wants to renege on the deal. Tell me why! You didn't lose out on this transaction!"
Howard Stringer said helplessly, "The Jews have their eyes on you. They told the Japanese that if they cooperate with you, they will face a joint attack from the Jews."
He couldn't possibly admit that he was also secretly fueling the flames—he saw through Ian's desire for Spider-Man and simply pinned everything on the Jews.
"I knew it." Ian sneered, "A joint attack? Bullshit!"
Not all Jews are of one mind; some are Zionists, while others are purely egoists.
For example, George Soros, a famous financial magnate, has a disdain for Zionism.
However, even if the Jews are not united, they are still much more united than the chaotic situation within the United States. Even if only the Jews in the media unite, they would be enough to give Ian a hard time.
For this reason, Sony dared not offend them.
Ian asked, "What specific methods do they use to renege on their debts?"
Howard Stringer swallowed hard.
He clearly lacked the courage to face death, so he said, "They bribed some judges to try to prove that the contract was invalid."
Ian tossed him paper and pen: "List."
Howard Stringer readily wrote down the list.
Ian took the list, glanced at it, and chuckled, "Four judges, including a Supreme Court Justice, but do you know what the most interesting part is?"
He looked at Howard Stringer, who shook his head blankly.
Ian said, "I have dirt on three of them, but I haven't released it. There's only one I don't have yet, but that's okay, I can make him have it."
He held up the list and looked at Kripps: "Tell Yata she's got a job. I need her to get into this guy's bed within three days, through all channels! Also, find him a minor case to cheat on, and if possible, entice him to say things he shouldn't... I hate the environment in America. Why does it take so much material to get a judge?"
American judges hold high positions and are very independent; it can be quite difficult to get things done if you don't have enough evidence.
Kreps smiled and nodded.
Ian turned to Howard Stringer: "I could deal with them the same way I dealt with you, but I'm not going to, because that would be a huge waste. I'd rather expose their scandals and let them spend the rest of their lives contributing to my business!"
Howard Stringer smiled wryly: "I'm starting to understand why you have so many big news stories, but I have to say, this isn't how a journalist normally works."
"So there's only one Ian Karl in the world!" Ian laughed.
Then he waved his hand: "I have your dirt too. For example, you have an illegitimate son in Chicago, that guy raped a girl, and you got him exonerated... You might not mind your twelve lovers being exposed, but you still mind your son, right?"
Howard Stringer's pupils widened slightly.
You even know that?
Ian chuckled softly, "Don't be surprised. How could I not pay attention to my peers? It's just that a wise old man once told me that an iceberg is magnificent because only one-eighth of it is above water. As for me, my depth far exceeds seven-eighths. So now, tell me why I'm not exposing your secrets but instead meeting you this way?"
Howard Stringer took a deep breath: "Because you're not going to destroy me? You need me!"
Ian laughed heartily.
He looked at the ceiling and said in a low voice, "Go and inform Sony headquarters that the bet can be cancelled, but you must give me what I want. This includes the film and television rights to Spider-Man, Men in Black, and Resident Evil. I promise that you will still be in charge of developing the sequels, on a revenue-sharing basis."
We definitely don't have the rights to the Resident Evil games, but we can still try to get the film and television rights.
Ian originally wanted to marry the pregnant woman before having children.
Since the widow from the Sony family doesn't want to remarry, having a child is just as good!
Anyway, once I get control of Howard Stringer, I can take whatever good stuff Sony has to offer... well, hopefully he won't get fired.
Howard Stringer shook his head slightly: "They won't agree. I don't have the authority to make decisions at Sony headquarters."
"A bunch of Japanese, they're our dogs. Dogs trying to renege on their master's debts? Ridiculous!" Ian scoffed. "I'll make them fear me, make them understand that reneges on debts is not a good habit. And all you have to do is cooperate with me when I need you."
Ian isn't in a hurry to deal with Sony; he wants to get all sorts of dirt on Sony first before taking action.
At that moment, he chuckled and said to Kreps, "Give Yata to him too. I need more good stuff, and he doesn't care about it anyway."
Howard Stringer's expression changed drastically.
I don't care if this gets exposed, but I do care a lot about making porn!
