Super Mechanic: God of Superpowers!

Chapter 98 Player Public Beta

Ye Xiu regained his composure and turned his gaze to the panel, discovering that there were only twenty-odd minutes left before the public beta test.

"Has it finally arrived?" Ye Xiu's eyes flickered slightly as he thought to himself.

For him, the arrival of players not only grants him a huge amount of experience points, but also a wide variety of superpowers.

Ye Xiu is currently preparing to replicate a wave of superpowers related to physical and cellular enhancement, and then synthesize them.

When the same type of superpowers are combined, the resulting superpower will most likely become stronger, absorbing the strengths of each superpower.

Ye Xiu took a deep breath and slowly walked out of the room.

Time is passing, and only one minute remains in the countdown to the public beta.

Looking at the current time, it is the Starry Sky Calendar, July 3rd, 688.

He silently counted down in his mind:

10、9、8……3、2、1！

[Public beta test is now live!]

[Retrieving data... Data retrieval complete!]

[Player forum is now available!]

[The current public beta test has lasted for 1271 days!]

[Welcome to Starsea 1.0 – The Descendants!]

……

The holographic immersive game "Star Ocean" is undoubtedly the most popular game on Earth right now, without exception.

It has attracted the attention of countless people since the beginning of its research and development.

Despite the lack of promotion, the sheer amount of buzz surrounding the product, based solely on the basic information provided on its official website, led to it trending on Douyin for a month straight.

Coupled with various unsubstantiated rumors, Starsea is shrouded in mystery, arousing curiosity and anticipation among countless players.

And after days and nights of anticipation, the day of the public beta finally arrived.

The first batch of players who had been eagerly anticipating the public beta test did not hesitate at all, and directly channeled their excitement into the game.

……

As soon as the open beta started, the first batch of eager players immediately flooded into the game.

In the vast universe, a dozen different types of novice birth planets welcomed their earliest batches of players.

Early morning, just as dawn was breaking.

In the forest outside the former Xiaojiaoshan settlement, now the headquarters of the Alien Emperor's settlement, only white light could be seen flashing, and one after another, public beta players appeared, their clear yet foolish eyes curiously looking around.

"It feels so real, the air is filled with the smell of fresh wild animal droppings." Someone sniffed around with their nose open.

"Tsk tsk, why aren't you taking off your pants yet? You damn planner, I'll fuck you!" Someone frantically pulled at his shorts, looking completely mad.

"Where is the starting village? I can't wait to do the quests." This player is definitely a hardcore grinder.

As time went by, more and more players were born in the mountains and forests. Looking around, there were all kinds of strange heads, a dark mass, and it was conservatively estimated that there were at least five thousand people.

Because Ye Xiu has been continuously integrating the eastern settlement of Xinglong, most of the original spawn points for beta testers have disappeared.

In return, the number of players at other spawn points skyrocketed.

Just then, not far away, the headquarters of the alien emperor's settlement was seen. The former settlement leader, Hari, led a group of people over and called out enthusiastically, "Welcome, friends from afar! Please follow me."

"Wow, are NPCs this enthusiastic these days?"

Upon seeing this, the player was slightly taken aback, but was quickly overjoyed, feeling a surge of happiness.

However, the beta testers were shocked. How did the original Xiaojiaoshan settlement become so huge and turn into such a technologically advanced modern city?

The settlement of alien emperors?

Could it be that the leader of this settlement is called the Strange Emperor? Tsk tsk, what a flamboyant name!

At Ye Xiu's instruction, whether it was players outside the headquarters of the Alien Emperor's settlement or players outside other branches of the Alien Emperor's settlement, such as the original Big Horn Mountain settlement, they were all allowed to participate.

All of these players entered the settlement without any problems.

Meanwhile, the NPCs in the settlement, such as merchants, factory owners, old ladies who need to cross the road, and young ladies who have lost their kittens, constantly give players tasks.

At this time, at the headquarters of the alien emperor's settlement.

Numerous players have become hardcore gamers, constantly grinding for favorability with their settlements, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.

With too many players, Ye Xiu was unable to provide accommodations, so he simply distributed simple tents for free.

Of course, his actions were clearly not out of overflowing compassion, but rather with a purpose.

He was confident that with these high-quality services, he would definitely satisfy these players.

At that time, the second, third, and subsequent batches of players will most likely choose to start their lives in the settlements he controls.

This will greatly facilitate his harvesting of players' experience and abilities.

On the first day of the open beta, the players' enthusiasm was undoubtedly at its peak. Even something as simple as crushing an ant or helping an old lady cross the street could excite them for a long time, making them jump around with excitement.

Soon, players discovered the photo and video recording functions and began recording their wonderful lives. They shared every little thing on the forum, and the number of posts kept increasing, showing a trend of replacing social media platforms like Xiaobaishu and Ganba. Below are a few representative posts:

"Hehehe... I was actually born on Dou Qi Star, and I'm about to join the great Soul Palace. Players born in Wutan City, prepare to die! Hehehe!"

The latest novel is first published here!

"Huh? I was born on Spirit Star. There's an NPC named Tang San in a nearby village. Watch how I pound his ass."

"I am from the Mysterious Star..."

"I am the mysterious Paradise Star..."

"I'm from a mortal planet, and the cultivators here are so cool!"

"I'm Hehuanxing, wow, the girls here are so seductive! Damn the game developers, damn the game planners, we can't even take our pants off! How can I have a deeper conversation with these girls? Help!"

On the first day of the open beta, the number of players had already reached over a million, and when spread across the various game's new player starting planets, the number was approximately one hundred thousand.

However, as the game's influence rapidly grows, the number of players will increase exponentially, reaching tens of millions within six months of the game's release.

Ye Xiu summoned the settlement leader and instructed him, "Bring the outsiders who have awakened supernatural abilities to the Alien Emperor Square."

"Awakened superpowers?!" Harry was shocked. Judging from the tone of the alien king, not only had some of these outsiders awakened superpowers, but there were quite a few of them.

But what business does the alien emperor have with these people?

Although Harry was somewhat surprised and suspicious, he obviously didn't dare to ask any more questions.

Two months ago, thanks to Ye Xiu's strength and the assistance of the Dark Web organization, tens of thousands of settlements and warlords in the eastern part of Star Dragon were either subdued or destroyed.

The once insignificant Xiaojiaoshan settlement has suddenly become the largest settlement in the Star Dragon territory.

Although he is now just one of dozens of deputy leaders, his power has increased significantly compared to the past.

Therefore, in Harry's mind, Ye Xiu's words were like a royal decree.

What Harry didn't know was that while there were indeed quite a few deputy leaders at the headquarters of the Alien Emperor's settlement, most of them were actually clones of Ye Xiu.

Over the past two months, Ye Xiu has naturally replicated some supernatural abilities and then infused them into his clones.

He first let these clones gain a certain reputation outside, and then he stepped forward to subdue them by virtue of his "prestige".

Therefore, in the eyes of outsiders, Ye Xiu did not use any power to bring more than a dozen powerful superhumans or martial artists (in disguise) into the settlement, and his prestige and fame instantly soared.

Currently, in the popularity rankings of celebrities on Aquamarine Star, Ye Xiu undoubtedly ranks No. 1 with his powerful strength, handsome appearance, and immense prestige, far surpassing other superhumans or celebrities.
