Chapter 172 Ranch Jewelry
Chapter 172 Ranch Jewelry
The Silver Fox team gave the two Black men a good beating and searched everywhere, but couldn't find the Maserati, which only fueled their anger. They demanded of the two Black men, "Where's the car? Where's my car?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Old Black, his face bruised and swollen, lay on the ground, clutching his head.
"I'm talking about that Maserati Quattroporte!!" the gang leader roared in fury.
The engineers on the team quickly noticed something amiss and found the locator by the roadside. They were shocked and exclaimed, "Damn it, boss, we've been tricked! Someone deliberately left the locator here!"
"What? Damn it, who did this?" The team leader also realized what was going on and felt a sense of foreboding, but he had already vented his anger by beating those few black men.
The two black men suffered a great loss and quickly sounded the alarm to call for reinforcements. Four or five black men had already heard the shouts and ran over from the poor neighborhood with handguns, baseball bats, and fruit knives.
When the team leader saw that the other side had come out to retaliate, he turned around, got on his motorcycle, and the group drove off without looking back. Old Hei chased after them, cursing and throwing his weapon at the motorcycle.
"Hey! Don't you dare leave!"
"Fuck you! You have the guts to do it but not the guts to admit it! I know who you are! You're absolutely dead!"
"They are the Silver Fox team from the garage area."
One of the black men recognized them and couldn't help but curse, "Damn it, they came here to beat up my men, it's definitely for that car, someone must have leaked the information."
"Chase after them! We can't let them get away! Otherwise, people will definitely think we're easy to bully!" The black leader, wearing a thick gold chain, was furious. He pulled out a dagger from his pocket, called for an old Honda Civic to come over, got in, and floored the gas pedal to give chase.
Zhang Ailun and his group heard gunfire erupting two streets away, indicating a firefight. The black men in the warehouse district, having given chase, realized this was a good opportunity! They immediately started their Wranglers, drove to the warehouse door, got out, and retrieved lock-picking tools.
After a few maneuvers on the warehouse door, the lock clicked open. Stepping inside, I saw a Chevrolet Camaro parked there. The car keys were still in the office, saving me the trouble of deciphering and unlocking it.
Bailey got into the car and followed behind the Wrangler. Sieg took out spray paint and scribbled all over the wall, leaving behind graffiti from other street gangs. He quickly got into the car, stepped on the gas, and sped away.
A few minutes later, the group of old black men who had chased after them returned. Seeing the scene before them, they were instantly devastated.
"WTF!! Who the hell did this?! Who! Who is it?!" The short, stocky, short-haired black man, clutching the large gold chain around his neck, was furious, his veins bulging.
With a forceful tug, the jewelry snapped off, fell to the ground, and was stomped on twice, leaving red marks on the neck.
"Hey boss, come quick! There's some graffiti left by other gangs here, Fxxk! It's definitely a deliberate provocation!" One of the black men noticed the graffiti on the wall and immediately reported it.
"They shouldn't be that stupid to commit the crime secretly and leave behind tools and clues," the black leader said unhappily.
"Those white guys probably got tricked too. I heard they recently landed a big deal, but someone's been watching them and they fell for their scheme," one of the black guys said. "But since we've already started fighting, let's fight them to the bitter end!"
Old Black was cursing and swearing, feeling extremely unlucky. "Shit! If my cousin knew I went out on my own and messed up this business, he'd definitely call me a pig! He was the one who gave me the information, and I promised him a share, but now I don't have a single cent!"
"Boss, I think we need to have someone keep an eye out for the same car model being sold in the black market recently!" the black man next to him said.
"There are at least a dozen vehicles of the same model sold every day in the market right now, and many of them are cases handled by other teams. We can't possibly investigate every single one of them, can we? We simply can't afford to offend so many people! If they choose to keep them on hand for half a month without selling them, or smuggle them to other states, or even dismantle them into parts and sell them, how are we supposed to find them?" one of the black men retorted.
"What good are you, you black devil! Is your mouth only good for licking those women? Can't you use your brain? Think of something!" The old black man was furious and spewed filth.
The black man in charge of the chase returned, driving a Ford with a wrecked motorcycle towed in it, along with a white man with a bruised and swollen face. It was none other than an engineer from the Silver Fox team.
Old Black laughed in anger, "Fxxk you! Tell me, why did you come to mess with us? If your answer satisfies me, I might not go and blow your ass up!"
"I'll tell you, I'll tell you everything, please don't lay a hand on me." The engineer immediately backed down.
Zhang Ailun was completely unaware of and uninterested in the conflict between Lao Hei and Lao Bai. He quietly drove away, taking a detour through the city, and returned the Chevrolet Camaro to the Old Pick Auto Repair Shop to deliver the vehicle.
Upon entering, I discovered that the Maserati had been lifted up, its tires and fenders removed, and paint prepared for spraying.
Zhang Ailun was quite satisfied with their progress and praised them. He then had Bailey park the car in the waiting area to queue for modifications.
"There's another Corvette waiting for us to collect it at the repair shop."
Sieg and Melvin, who was in charge of surveillance, kept in constant contact. They learned that the Mexicans at the repair shop had already left for the day, and the jammer made by Blitz had worked, allowing them to successfully steal the car.
Zhang Ailun was also somewhat surprised by the kid's ability to act. He had completed the task all by himself without their help. This was remarkable. He should give the kid a raise. He decided to have them drive to pick up the other party as well.
A short while later, a Wrangler returned to the modification shop with a black Corvette. Zhang Ailun asked, "Are you sure no one has spotted us?"
"Boss, don't worry, we're always very meticulous in our work."
After touring the car, Zhang Ailun instructed Blitz to contact potential buyers on the black market. Blitz had the capability to find buyers, preferably from out of town.
Seeing that the matter was settled, Zhang Ailun simply let Bailey and the others go home, and then drove to the suburbs with Sieg and Blitz to retrieve the jewelry worth two hundred thousand dollars.
What black boots and white gloves? What could be better than yours if the Grand Master has his eye on it?
On the drive to a rural ranch in the suburbs, Sieg couldn't help but ask, "Is it alright just the three of us?"
"We're just going to pick up some goods, not to go to war. The more people there are, the more trouble we'll cause. What we need to do is secretly move those jewels away."
Zhang Ailun drove the vehicle smoothly, allowing Blitz to prepare in advance to interfere with the camera.
After spending several tens of minutes, we arrived at the town's ranch, parked the car by the roadside, and walked to the local dairy farm.
The private ranch was found to be relatively small, with only a simple fence and barbed wire around it. It was rarely visited, and the meat display cases were already dark. Blitz investigated and found that the owners were an elderly white couple.
"This house was built in 1988. The rancher, John Deere, was an ordinary white family who migrated from Texas. He married a local woman and has a son and two daughters. His son works as a department manager at a GG company in downtown Los Angeles. His daughters are married and have lived here for thirty years. Their only connections are with their neighbors in this small town."
Blitz added, "While they call themselves an ordinary family, they weren't exactly ordinary. John Deere had another identity, Vardy. He committed murder in Texas and fled to settle here. But technology wasn't as advanced thirty years ago, making surveillance and evidence collection difficult. He had also fled so far that even after the police confirmed he was the murderer from thirty years ago, due to the long time that had passed and the difficulties of cross-state law enforcement, he only served a week in prison and was acquitted by the court after paying tens of thousands of dollars."
I can't understand why those guys would hide the briefcase here, but the ranch owner is definitely involved. It's either because of his daughter or his son, otherwise the men in black boots wouldn't have hidden it here for no reason.
But none of this concerns them, and no one will know that they did it.
Unsolved mysteries of Los Angeles.
"Since they are elderly people, let's not disturb their rest." Zhang Ailun simply let the agile Sieg go and get the things out, while he and Blitz went to keep watch for him.
"Why me?" Sig asked, puzzled.
"You don't necessarily want us to go, do you?"
Zhang Ailun shrugged and said, "Look at this: a sick technician, the person in charge of planning this operation, and the person responsible for executing it. Which of these three do you think should take action?"
"Hurry up! Remember, it's a black handbag, in the barn of a spotted cow with folded ears."
After explaining the specific details to Sieg, despite being very puzzled, he still secretly climbed over the wall and sneaked into the ranch, entering the stable.
About ten minutes later, Sieg came running out, covered in mud and dust, carrying a black handbag, and emitting a foul stench.
"Fxxk! Those guys hid this thing under the haystack, and I spent ages looking for it! I even tripped and fell, kissing a cow's rear end! Luckily, the cows didn't try to attack me! I fed them some of their favorite hay." Sig looked annoyed and raised his hand to hand the briefcase to the leader.
Zhang Ailun took a step back without changing his expression. "Go find a place to take a shower first, buddy. I'm not in a hurry."
"On the way here, there's a water tap for watering plants in the yard of the neighbor next door. But you'd better not make too much noise, or you'll wake up the homeowner and they'll come out and shoot you twice, and you'll have no one to complain to," Blitz said.
Sig stared at their disapproving looks, then sighed. "Fine, what can I say? I was born to do manual labor. Boss, are you sure you'll help me invest in a gun shop, right?"
"We'll see," Zhang Ailun said.
"what?"
"Go take a shower first!"
"OK..."
Sieg carried his bag into the yard, turned on the tap and started scrubbing himself until the homeowner heard the sound of running water outside and realized something was wrong. Only then did he look out the window and see someone taking a bath in the yard.
"WTF! Where did this homeless person come from?"
The homeowner seemed a bit hesitant. He quickly rummaged through the house and found a gun. He pushed open the door and shouted, "Hey! Sir, do you need any help?"
Seeing that things were going badly, Sieg quickly grabbed his clothes, naked from the waist down, and ran away.
Without saying a word, he ran away.
"You'd better not have done anything wrong, buddy!"
Seeing the thief flee in a guilty conscience, the homeowner breathed a sigh of relief. Looking at the glistening buttocks in the moonlight, he couldn't help but mutter, "Quite a white butt..."
He picked up his gun, closed the door, and went back into the yard.
Zhang Ailun and Blitz were chatting in the car, looking for customers, when they heard knocking on the door and window. Turning around, they saw Sieg, his hair wet, anxiously knocking on the door, "Open the door! Open the door quickly!"
Zhang Ailun pressed the unlock button on the RV, and Sieg slipped into the vehicle like an eel, letting out a long sigh of relief.
The Grand Master asked in surprise, "Why are you in such a hurry? Have you been discovered?"
"Thanks to your brilliant ideas!! I almost got mistaken for a burglar," Sieg said irritably, tossing his briefcase to the two men. "This time there's no cow dung on it!"
Zhang Ailun casually took the handbag, unzipped it, and glanced inside. It was full of gold and silver jewelry, diamond rings, gold necklaces, and pearls the size of his little finger.
"This pearl necklace alone must be worth a fortune!" Sig exclaimed. "We've struck it rich!"
"We need to find someone to get rid of these goods quickly. Gold is fine, but pearls and diamonds require reliable people to sell them." Zhang Ailun simply handed these things over to Blitz, letting him handle them through his connections in the black market.
He took three gold necklaces, each weighing about 16 grams, and put them in his pocket.
Anyway, this thing isn't worth much, maybe a thousand dollars, and it's not like he hasn't sold it before.
"This thing is useful to me, you guys shouldn't have any objections, right?" Zhang Ailun asked.
Blitz and Sieg nodded in agreement. "No objections."
Zhang Ailun put it away with satisfaction. He took out his phone, snapped a picture, and sent it to Reina, Olivia, and Jennifer.
Zhang Ailun: Do you like it?
Reina: A gift for me?
Zhang Ailun: Dedicated to the most beautiful woman in the world.
Reina: You have such a sweet tongue! Darling! Do you have time now? I miss you!
Zhang Ailun: I'm not as sweet-talking as you.
Reina: Ugh!! Are you missing that taste?
Zhang Ailun: Can I go over now?
Reina: Maybe another day? I still have work to do. I can't stay up too late. :)
Zhang Ailun: OK.
He then opened Olivia's chat window, where she also warmly invited the Grand Master to a friendly match.
Olivia: Darling! When are you planning to give it to me? Tonight?
Zhang Ailun: Are you sure you have time right now?
Olivia: [Image] When I'm bored by myself, all I can do is play with small toys. Hope you keep your word!
They sent me a bonus picture: a steamy bathroom, covered in foam, amusing himself.
Who could stand this? Zhang Ailun promptly saved and downloaded it.
